Evidence of simplicity

The evidence of simplicity
A moment of capture
Of ordinary things.
Without the facades.

Simple can be profoundly impactful
For in the very complexity of the matter
Resides clarity of the simplicity.
Simplifying the truth of purpose
In easily understandable ways.

So beyond the flourishes
And aggrandizement
Beyond the exuberance
And unnecessary buildups
Beyond the extravagance
And the ensuing distraction.

The path of simplicity
Needs no evidence
As simple gets across the message
Like no other.

What’s your path like?
What is your take on simple living?
Or do you dream of luxuriant living?
Has it changed or been affected by the years?
Have these times of uncertainty made a difference in the perspectives?
I would love to learn and understand more if you are willing to share your insights.

When Simplicity Speaks

On black and white photography.

What is it about the black and the white

That evokes much emotion

In all its simplicity and elegance?

Monochrome has a surreal magic

That captures your attention

Strangely beguiling almost misleading

For it blurs the truths that appear

In the vividity of colour.

Yet it provides a stark definition

Devoid of any colour, yet not lifeless

It emotes through simplicity

Through the play of light and dark

Creating sensibilities and sustaining drama.

Both evocative and enigmatic in its elements

Inspite of the hidden hues.

Retaining charecter.

Reminiscent of old world charm

Of a translucent transparency.

A simplification of the complexity.

A composure of composition.

A completeness of capture.

Crosswinds

A painting by Savvy Raj

For every you, there is another you caught in the crosswinds

In fact, there could be many more reflections of you…life will throw you the hints

Fanning the flames only arouses the spirit

To arise and evolve more than we give merit

To deeper levels of conscious awareness

Breathe in the wisdom of knowing in all fairness

Of the freeflow of movements as it unfolds

The crosswinds breathe fire of life into souls

To breathe in the the energy of consciousness sublime

Trust the trysts of destiny in the eternality of time

To have a reason all their own

Cause it is preordained like seeds of life already sown.

Energy equilibrium

We are made of matter.
Matter is filled with energy
Our life is full of changes
Manifesting itself in so many ways.

Sometimes these very changes
In our lives bring out
Redistribution of our energy
Creating a lack or overflow of energy.

Our life patterns can cause a rift
Between thoughts and action
Between emotions and behavior
Emerging in imbalances

Yet we are each at our best
When we have our unique mix of energy
A concoction suitable to our nature
In proportions of sublime precision

As we give we receive
In receiving there is giving
To balance and counterbalance
The emerging inadequacies

All a matter of movements
That heal in the doing
That restore our spirit
And align with our soul.

This dance of chaos and order
Balance and imbalance
Are part of the same source
Maintaining our energy equilibrium

The shape of things

SHAPING ….Artwork by Savvy Raj

There is in the shape of things

A reason why

Like the night and the day

white and black moon with black skies and body of water photography during night time

Photo by GEORGE DESIPRIS on Pexels.com

They say nothing is accidental

There is always a shape to things

A reason for design

A reason for pain and pleasure

A reason for order and disorder

A reason for imbalance

As much for equilibrium

A reason for the confusion in chaos

As much for emergence of clarity.

One thing leads to another

Patterns develop out of nothing into something

Those who are in the front

Become waybearers for those who follow…

In the ensuing connections

Forms take shape of things to come

Matter combines to eloquently express

Succintly abrest the brevity

Or in hyperboles of creation

All is yet in symmetry

Emotion emits acceleration

Life destructs and creates in continnum

To evolve itself in the shape of things to come.

Waltz of the birds

Watch this magical murmuration

In divine interconnection

Countless birds in a dance of symphony

Creating patterns in rhythmic harmony.

An enthralling aerial display.

That moves you with its magical sway

Makes you wish and wonder why

These flock of feathers fly this way!

In the swing and the sway
And the rise and fall
The flight of these birds
Interweave a cohesive harmony.
A rare sight both elusive and enigmatic
Orchestrated with brilliance
Perhaps simply waltzing with abandon
Perhaps to ward off the predator
With such seemingly chaotic order
Every dancing heart will delight
In acknowledging with awe
This dance of sychrony!

The other side

A BEAUTIFUL WAY OF LOOKING AT THINGS:

A Father was reading a magazine and his little daughter every now and then distracted him. To keep her busy, he tore one page on which was printed the map of the world. He tore it into pieces and asked her to go to her room and put them together to make the map again.

He was sure she would take the whole day to get it done. But the little one came back within minutes with perfect map……When he asked how she could do it so quickly, she said, “Oh…. Dad, there is a man’s face on the other side of the paper….. I made the face perfect to get the map right.” She ran outside to play leaving the father surprised.

MORAL OF THE STORY:
There is always the other side to whatever you experience in this world. Whenever we come across a challenge or a puzzling situation, look at the other side…. You will be surprised to see an easy way to tackle the problem.

A few musings…

The difference between just looking and seeing is so much in the depth and dimension of expansions in our flow of thoughts .An expansion in our acceptability and flexibility changes the seemingly complex situations to simple solutions .:)

Creativity & Humility

Creativity is innate potential.

Deeply entwined in humility

In every realisation of potential infinite

Creation manifests itself time and again.

So much to know and understand

So much to learn and discover

So much to explore and fathom

Lifetimes are never enough

Such is the potential of the infinitum.

Creativity is embedded and enmeshed with emotions. To create is to connect with the core and the depth of the being.

Savvy

In the flow of creation

Is the acknowledgement

Of the letting go

In the depth of creation

There is only pure potential

Where I, Me or Myself

Ego plays ceases to exist.

Expressions are conceived

In the potentials intention

They will find purpose

In the very strength of intention

That elevates consciousness

Beyond pride and prestige

Beyond fame and fortune.

As creativity tunes in to sense

The subtlest of emotion.

In the shaping and the blending

From thoughts to action

Creativity and humility

Go hand in hand in sublimity.

Have you any experience on the interconnects of creativity and humility? Do care to share.

Enigma & Elegance

On Black and White Artistry

Black and white may be excluded

From the family of colours.

But the tints, tones & shades

Find a family of their own….

In the enigmatic monochrome

And the elegance they exude

Borders on sheer simplicity

And dares on the utter sophistication.

In a world of colours that we may see

Using tonal contrast creates drama

Using light to capture textures.

Form and shape makes a difference.

Devoid of distractions of colours

Evocative captures, quality of lighting

Shifts focus on the ethereal elements

And accentuates the light and shadows.

Black and white photography

Flatters in a timeless way

At times it elevates, the subjects beauty

Creating an enigmatic dimension.

Presenting my artwork above

Titled : Chakra (Wheel ) above that felt right to me

Only in monochromatic elegance

Of Black & White shades and tones.

Modern Marvels 1

Ingenuity of man is fascinating indeed But when coupled with the passion  it leaves quite an imprint ….

Here’s a testament of a love story  finding a fixture  in reality .

Have you heard of the STATUES OF LOVE

Located in Batumi, Georgia, the statue of lovers begin to move every night at 7 p.m.And the two figures represent a Muslim boy, Ali, and a Georgian princess, Nino, from a famous 1937 novel  by Azerbaijani author Kurban Said. The tragic story ends with the lovers separated by the invasion of Soviet Russia. This powerful love story has been translated into more than 30 languages.

“Man and Woman” is a 8 meter (26 foot) tall moving steel sculpture by Georgian sculptor Tamara Kvesitadze.

Body shaming has to stop!

Yesterday I happened to revisit this very strong yet contemplative piece of writing by my dear mother.  And I knew I just had to request her to share this because of its significance as much as the sensitivity of content which I felt is very relevant to the times we live in.

My mother writes a lot on and off  and I want to share this as I feel she should put out her writings in a blog but she simply hasn’t done so yet for reasons best known to her. So while I try convincing her to write and share more, here is this post from her that touched my heart💙💚💙

Love All!

Making someone feel badly about the way they look is the worst thing that one can do to another individual. It has the power to make someone feel unlovable. It creates so many insecurities and unwanted feelings. That is something we shouldn’t do or inflict upon anyone.
Body shaming has to stop. We have to stop tearing people down just because they don’t fit to  the standards created by another in the first place. We also have to stop judging people based on their appearances. There is no meaner phase of being than hating oneself for the looks and it is not fair that we are pushing people to that point. We need to be accepting of all body types.

We need to encircle each other rather than bring each other down and we have to understand that every one is different, both physically and mentally. Anjana

We are created to be different, and we need to learn to love those differences.

Body shaming, a term that has become all too popular recently because humans are obsessed with appearances. We criticize the way that others judge us yet never hesitate to pass comments on others in a sarcastic friendly manner. We have separated ourselves into categories based on the way we look and it is wrong.

Effects of body shaming

What people don’t understand is what body shaming really does to an individual. It gradually breaks their confidence. Instead of holding their head high — they scan the floor because they don’t want people to notice them. Instead of feeling beautiful, their self worth decreases and feel like an alien in their  own skin.

Body-shaming is a serious issue that’s secretly and silently ruining the lives of many out there. It’s high time we addressed it. And equally so for both women and men and children.
Those who are born fit or beautiful or intelligent didn’t do anything great to achieve it . It is the way they  are born genetically.

What use is physical beauty if the mind is ugly? Let’s learn  to value individuals for the values  they hold,  their character, their goodness and compassion, their talent and in general as a fellow human being who are all equal to one another.
As it is the society has created large gaps based on caste, creed, status and richness.  On one side as educated and civilized people we are trying to eradicate them and on the other side creating new dividers between individuals.

Respect and value individuals for what they really are.
Instead if seeing others as

Being short or tall,

Being fair or dusky,

Being fit or fat,

Being beautiful or ugly

Being rich or poor

Being modern or simple

Let’s learn to see others as

Being kind or cruel,

Being adaptive or adamant,

Being compassionate or egoistic

Being selfless or selfish,

And above all

Are they humane enough ?

Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.

Nature need not have to create so many different species to co exist, it could have  easily made an assembly line of similar looking robots.

Value the differences.

That is where beauty is hidden.
Love all.

Anjana

Speaking Pictures 2

She seems calm and composed and at complete ease .

A pretty picture of her face framed by her curly locks.

She seems to know more than she wants to tell

Her smile seems to sense much more as well

Her truth is hers alone, as her lips may seal

Oh! but what all a good capture can reveal.

Our personna is so transparent on the verge

Of Shadows thrown open to light

The  inner and outer may merge

And unmask thoughts that may be shut tight.

Shadows of past out in the open today

And capture thoughts  held at bay

All it takes to know is a shutters click

In perfect timing of  what to shoot & pick

Savvy
This picture was shared on one of my networks in Social Media  and I felt compelled to take a second glance …. the picture spoke much and my pen had to flow to capture the thoughts on this pretty capture.

Light on the dark

Emotions unveiled

Of memories & musings

A photo reveals it all!
