Live Life Lovingly!

Just another tree?

Roads of Goa

Don’t know you

How you live and breathe

In these nondescript pathway.

Yet here you are

Vividly present

Colouring the blue sky

With blossoms of contrasts.

Mature trunk and verdant   leaves

You strike a pose

You hold a  stance

In your unique way.

I see you dear tree

Grateful for your being

For you nurtured many lives

Seen many a solar cycles.

I bless you with all my heart

For healing this world…

For the world may be

You are just another tree

For me you live vibrantly

Evergreen in my memories.

A sight to behold

A vision to thank

In recognition and  gratitude

For your impactful presence🙏

A trip down memory lane.

An unexpected yet beautiful burst of colour contrasting the bright blue sky  prompted me to click a photo in a split second, enroute a road trip to Goa a few years ago…

P.S.

Sharing some amazing facts about the positive ecological impacts from one fully mature tree, that I came across.

Key Environmental & Ecological Impacts

  • Natural Climate Control: Through evapotranspiration and shade, one healthy mature tree provides a net cooling effect equal to 10 room-sized air conditioners running 20 hours a day. This can lower local microclimate temperatures by up to 3°F–5°F.
  • Carbon Vault: A single tree absorbs roughly 48 pounds (22 kg) of CO₂ per year. Over a 40-year lifespan, it locks away nearly 1 metric ton of atmospheric carbon in its trunk, roots, and surrounding soil.
  • Oxygen Generation: One fully grown, leafy tree generates enough net oxygen per year to sustain 2 to 4 human beings.
  • Hydrological Shield: A single mature canopy can intercept and soak up 2,300 gallons of stormwater runoff per year. Its root network stabilizes topsoil against erosion while filtering heavy metals and synthetic pollutants before water enters local aquifers.
  • Air Filtration: Leaves and bark actively trap particulate matter (PM2.5) while absorbing gaseous pollutants such as nitrogen dioxide, ground-level ozone, and sulfur dioxide—removing dozens of pounds of air pollutants annually.
  • Biodiversity Anchor: A single native tree (such as an oak) can support over 500 distinct species of insects, birds, mosses, and beneficial microorganisms, functioning as a self-contained ecosystem.

That I am fond of trees is nothing new… I have written many verses on trees before as well, yet in here I share a message close to my heart…

Nurture nature Nurture trees.

You are doing an important  service to help support self sustaining powerhouse of oxygen to our planet.

Beauty of impermenance

Today,  I came across a beautiful  Japanese word called ‘Komorebi’ that depicts…the beauty  of light filtering in through the leaves. And I see this picture, that I had saved, somehow seems to fit right in…

Beauty of impermenance

Every ray of light
In these leaves …
Can never be replicated
To exact moments.

Yet there is stillness
In its fleeting moment
In simple appreciation,

And heartfelt acknowledging

Of the beauty of impermenance.

Wind on sand

Wind on the sand

Gathering gently

Singing sweetly…

Whistling winds…

Humming & howling

Desert dunes

Deep drones

Shifting sands

Slumping steep

Silver on silver

Gold on gold.

Wind on water

The wind on the water

Dancing divine

Riveting rhythm

Forming in the flow.

Patterns performing

Orchestras in the ocean

Shaping the self

The past is clutching you

But choose to sculpt a new now

Shed your old skin

Unclasp the tags.

Yesterday may hold you captive

But choose to chisel on relentlessly

Bit by bit…

And free yourself from its vice like grip.

Your tommorow awaits in patience,

Trust, all is well in time.

Shape yourself into who you are.

Serenading my senses…

It’s early evening

The sunlight is still filtering in

I sit back, after a walk.

It feels like a balmy dusk

Watching dappled rain drops

Falling on verdant leaves 🍃

Petrichor fills the air

Rising from the earth

Sensing the glimmers of this now.

Serenading my senses, in serendipity…

Smile from the heart!

It’s truly a wonderful way to live inside out.

There is a lot in life to be thankful for .

Sending such an intention outward is an unending hope, that life never hardens, the living with all our heart & soul.

Heartbeats

Storms rage and ravage

They lay waste the efforts

And destruct many a lives.

Yet they rise, only to fall

When the storm subsides

The world picks up the pieces

Of the then and now…

To build again in hope

That tommorow is another new day.

But storms that pass, often leave imprints;

Of traumas in those testing times

Of  fear in the back of the mind.

They appear in dreams

Almost as if it is reality.

They create confusion in the sanest of times

But when the heart knows

That fear is just the mind

Playing its tricks again.

It becomes brave

And continues to beat stronger

And life dances to its beats…

For it has survived the storm.

Rest all is history 💙

Storms have a way of playing with our life even when they  have long subsided.
The brewing storm in our  thoughts and dreams  may seem fearful  yet they also bring perspective to empower ourselves.

I write these verses inspired by  the reading the title and verses of this poem, this morning. Thank you 🙏   poeticmobility.

And the image here is from  my  Ai artwork collections, for I  somehow feel it belongs here as well.

I leave a question  here for you to reflect upon…

Every life has survived its own share of storms

Leaving much wisdom in the learnings  behind.

What lesson has your heart learned after the storm?

Trust that

Sometimes when you are lost

Know time is working its ways

Between these moments

Too sensitive to a fault

Or too numb to be hurt.

When life is a like a storm

And you feel lost in a maze

You still find your way out

To the now, as you read this,

Trust time to deliver ways

Trust that…

Soul of my soul

Reaching out to the radiance

That lights my being

Feeling the magnificent way

The glow paves my path.

Seeing the grace unfold

In all its glorious resplendence

Aligning with its presence

In the breath I take.

Witnessing life transform

As darkness gives in to light

Sensing the space of lightness

As energy balances its flow.

Soul of my soul

Your omnipresence I revere

As you work your magic

Through me…

Dawn paints the day

An interesting  dawn

I woke up earlier than dawn today.

And positioned myself in my favorite space

To watch the glorious dawn

Before I could realise

A bright orange ball

Just popped up over the horizon…

It was as if the sun was in a hurry

To awaken the world & light  the day.

As I just began to ease into the brilliance …

I saw the corner of the sun

Disappearing  into the blanket of clouds

Looming large, to dull the senses once more…

The light is hidden now

From plain sight.

Do know the sun is up

There may be a lull in the now

But darkness is a passing cloud

Think of it, as moments to pause

In patience for light is on the other side

Awaiting its turn to light up your day.

And yes, before I could pen these words here…

The light of dawn paints the day.

Unearthing The Self

Covered in the grime of life

Masked in the mire of living

Seasoned in the sands of time.

Life may seem meaningless,

Submerged in the shadows.

Yet trust time in its flow

As it unearths the Self.

In its own unique way

P.S

This poem flowed in a moment of  silent contemplation…

I pose a question to you

Looking back at the layers

Life brought forth in time

Are there more, that are shielding you?

Or are there more that you want to wash away?

And more importantly…

Are you ready to unearth the Self?

I hope in reading these verses, it brings in a sense of pause and trust, wherever you are in your own unique journey of unearthing the self .

Symphony of the Soul

One life time

Dark and light

Play hide and seek.

Like the night and day.

Between the illusions and reality

From doubts to clarity

Trust life to fine tune itself.

Balancing the sharp flats.

In the ebb and flow

Hear the music of heartfulness

Lit in the symphony of the soul.

On Blooming

Our thoughts need space to grow

Sitting in silence

Sensing stillness

Witnessing the dance within.

As the thoughts settle

From chaos to calm

Give time to your thoughts

Countless thoughts birth itself

Some that makes you smile

Some that carry other emotions

Your thoughts have a reason to be

Let them come and go

Like nature evolves in time

Thoughts have a life time too.

Think well… Life blooms.

On blooming

Cultivate in your children a thinking mind

Guide them to steer it to a thoughtful mind

Cultivate  in your children a grateful heart

Guide them to deeds of goodwill.

Their development begins with you

But remember the bud that blossoms to a flower

Support their journey that unfolds itself …

As every flower unfurls in its own time

Trust life to bloom.
