Making peace with the now
Very easy they say
Follow the breath
And peace flows
Yet…
We all know
That it is quite a task
To be consistent
That’s how life is!
Such is truth in itself
In this now
As every moment
Gives in to the new
We are meant to be
To learn and unlearn
Our senses
Our emotions
Challenge us in the changes
Our system takes a toll
Our beliefs turn around
In soul searching ways…
And then we learn to see
The moment as it presents itself
All judgements & assumptions
All prejudices & preconceived notions
All fade away into the oblivion
We live in this moment
In engagement again
But with this now
Without forgetting what’s gone
But forgiving times by gone
For only then we make space
For peace to flow in…
None can tell you what is the truth As much as you yourself can! Often a mentor , a guide a teacher Can take you near your truth But its all up to you to own yours
Every truth is colored by perspectives Of its own creation. Every person has a truth That needs to be reckoned with As the perspectives converge There is an emergence Of the truth of one’s being.
Awaken the spirit From the slumber Arise to a new day As you begin a new way Acknowledge the circle of lifeOf awareness in the awakenings That’s all-encompassing in flow Than just inward or just outward Live with hope of transcending The limitations of knowing the self. Savvy
When they asked her to reveal her beauty secrets, Audrey Hepburn wrote this beautiful text that was later read at her funeral.
′′ To have attractive lips, speak kind words.
To have a loving look, look for the good side of people.
To look skinny, share your food with the hungry.
To have beautiful hair, let a child cross it with his own fingers once a day.
To have a beautiful poise, walk knowing you’re never alone, because those who love and loved you accompany you.
People, even more than objects, need to be fixed, spoiled, awakened, wanted and saved: never give up on anyone.
Remember, if you ever need a hand, you’ll find them at the end of both your arms.
When you become old, you will discover that you have two hands, one to help yourself, the second to help others.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, in her face or in her way of fixing her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the door open to her heart, the source of her love.
The beauty of a woman doesn’t lie in her makeup, but the true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul.
It is the tenderness that gives love, the passion that it expresses.
If not now then when…
Will we distinguish the need and want
For between them is a line of balance
To understand in awareness
To acknowledge in understanding
Some needs are common to life & living.
But wants are more specific in nature.
The motivation of these wants
Is both intrinsic and extrinsic
Some wants are by nature
And some wants are formed in nurture.
To be motivated towards thinking
Of what to have and let go in time
Is a matter of discernment
In conscious consideration
A matter of introspection
To bring about waves of changes in action.
Moving beyond the apparent realities
It’s a matter of awareness of the imprints
Of life and living…
A subject of substantial deliberation
Not too common a pathway.
And yet an offbeat road leads to surprising revelations
