Resilience is about nurturing what is beautiful within you,no matter, while battling the situation at hand.
Resilience is the art of appreacting the ordinary moments that you have with you.
Resilience is being able to smile from the heart, knowing your circumstances dont define you.
In your deepest breakdown there is a choice to emerge from it stronger.
While resilience is in learning from experiences and strengthening & refining the self for the better. Resilience is also about allowing life to happen…
Bending when necessary like a blade of grass without breaking like the mighty oak tree,
Resilience is creating yourself in such times without fear of the inevitable, for change is part of the flow of life.
Resilience means, you are very much present and it means you are evolving from your experiences for the better.
In times of being resilience
You become the master of your life.
You steer on in faith
no matter the rudder is way off.
Knowing you are meant to be, do all that you are ordained to.
Yet resilience m is not blind faith but a faith born out of inner self belief. In knowing that the road is yet to clear, you are ready for possibilities using the time to see options and new perspectives
You are like an artist creating something from what seems to be blank and formless. Yet resilience is full of potential. And in exercising this muscle of resilience results are awaiting you in trust & time.
Trust that this very resilience is in you and in me and it surfaces in our difficulties to tide us through in time.
What is resilience to you?
When did you last feel your need to exercise your resilience?
Do share your thoughts how you create and develop your resilience muscle.
I am not a trained speaker, nor an expert story teller. In fact I am quite the antithesis for while I deeply enjoy conversing with people than speeches… I have always liked my deeds than talks to show up for me .
And I have sensed the butterflies in my stomach and heard my own beating heart while speaking to a room full of people, many many times in my life.
Like they say, life makes you stand on the razors edge, as much as on varied stages to experience what it is to be vulnerable, only to transform you.
But then I know I have it in me to ace it. After all, the power of my self belief and purpose has always stood out stronger than my vulnerabilities.
Time and time again I have realized how much it is all in our mind. The journey of life through the illusions, our delusions & revelations to the clarity in awareness.
In time I have often sensed that what makes you uncomfortable has your deliverance. In those moments of vulnerability, there is latent strength to overcome the odds.
What seems like an uncomfortable pause…
Can be the reason why what you say is heard and understood.
For if you truly care to sense
For there is much power in the pause,
In the space between two words two thoughts , two moments and two people.
Here are six things you can do for balancing your emotions and feeling better.
1.Become Aware that you are reacting than responding in your anger is the first step
2.Counting backwards from 20 to 1.
3. Removing yourself from the place you are feeling angry even for a short while by going for a short walk helps settle your emotions.
4. Switch words is a technique to use feeling oriented words to create powerful change of emotions with imagery to manage anger.
For example a positive word like Happy can evoke different feelings.
Or words like ‘take it easy ‘can evoke a sense of ease.
5. Better still is taking to chanting mantras, or hearing your favorite upbeat music , or even Journaling.
6. If nothing else imagining ocean tides in a flow and breathing deeply, in and out even for a few minutes eases the tense body & mind.
Remember to acknowledge your emotions as there is more harm in suppression. As you find healthy pathways to manage your anger, you bring wellbeing into your life
In the course of my career over the years handling teams of various departments, people management became my forte while experiencing many instances which needed agility in communication.
Here are few pointers…
If you can help it thoroughly prepare yourself with research so that you are prepared to handle any objections well.
Try to choose when and where to have a difficult conversation.
Always start with a positive mindset and speak with concern without blaming .
Make sure you are clear about what you want to communicate. And deliver your stance clearly without any ambiguity.
Speak in the right tone as per the situation.
Listen actively well to acknowledge emotions and understand so you can respond than react.
If there is too much tension or another impasse it is alright to pause, take a short timely break to diffuse tension and then recoup
Be focussed on what you wish to communicate and steer the conversation if it veers off topic.
Be open to alternatives and perspectives and see if you can find common ground to stay flexible to foster collaboration.
