I enjoyed writing it as I began playing with space in and around the poem unknowingly at first but then intentionally after the sixth line. As I patterned the flow… I began channeling my thoughts …in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 , 6, 5, 4, 3,2,1 words.
Today, I came across a beautiful Japanese word called ‘Komorebi’ that depicts…the beauty of light filtering in through the leaves. And I see this picture, that I had saved, somehow seems to fit right in…
Beauty of impermenance
Every ray of light In these leaves … Can never be replicated To exact moments.
Yet there is stillness In its fleeting moment In simple appreciation,
This poem aims to reflect the dawn, by beginning slowly to depict the stillness that precedes the dawn and like an inhale, generate the light building up to dawn and then accelerate to the brilliance of sunshine… hope you enjoy reading it.
Storms have a way of playing with our life even when they have long subsided. The brewing storm in our thoughts and dreams may seem fearful yet they also bring perspective to empower ourselves.
