The Power of Calm

There is charisma in calm

It’s the power of calm

In life’s highs and lows.

In calm lies confidence

Invoking assurance

Being calm in a conversation

Evokes the energy of stillness

Emits vibrancy devoid of agitation.

In the calm there is depth of  awareness

In the center of calm

Is potential  to assimilate

No matter the chaos

You find equilibrium.

When was the last time you felt the charismatic power of calm?

What does calm feel like to you in this now?

What is the distance  between you and your sense of calm?

Where & how do you think you can find your calm?

The morning moments

My morning  moments have the preciousness of calm for me.I choose dawn to intend the calm for the day ahead. In the quiet moments of dawn where the world is still sleeping, I find my creative state of flow. Although I have been able to connect  with my calm through the day, the vibes of this part of the day resonate so much. The early morning  sets the tone of the day for me.

How do you relate to the calm of dawn?

How do you sense the power of calm?

The Gift Of Change

Here I share one of my own paintings and a personal  favorite fron my collection.
Savvy Raj

In the vortex of life

arrives the gift of changes;

the breaking of the bubbles,

Of long held beliefs,

Of false ego and resistance

Of fear that limits.

Like the wind that’s too fierce  to contain…

Cleaning the cobwebs of confusion.

And life transforms for the better.

All in time

Every thought has its own flow
Every word finds its own space
Every space has its own synchrony
Every sound its own frequency
Every element, its own energy
Lets enjoy the space between the steps.
And acknowledge the  harmony in the synergy…

All in time.

Meet me in the middle

This poem will resonate with those in strong relationships  that stands the test of time and yet may find themselves challenged and at crossroads with differences in thoughts and opinions. Pretty much most who have experienced life together will find themselves in such predicaments time and time again.

In relationships when you are unable to see eye to eye, where past misses surfaces or future  expectations sideline the precious present, perhaps this poem can be a reminder of how far you have traveled  together to reach here.

All is not lost just yet… if you could only meet in the middle. For the strongest relationships survive in empathic understanding of each other through the thick & thin.

Meet me in the middle,
With an open mind,
Set aside differences,
We’re the same kind…

Today we may be at crossroads
looking with a different lens
But our hearts beat as one
Like it used to, years ago.
The feelings just the same…

So dearest one, sense it all
Memories are meant
To be revisited in time.
Think of how far we have come
And meet me not in the past
Nor in the the future
But right here in the middle
Of this present now.

Every Decade Teaches

Every decade teaches …

At ten

Life is innocence

At twenty

Life is discovery

At thirty

Life is pursuit

At forty

Life is awareness

At fifty

Life is experiences

At sixty

Life is expansion

At seventy

Life is inclusion

At eighty

Life is  rememberence

At ninety

Life is grace

At hundred & plus

Life is a testament

Of a lifetime lived.

Yet life is in this now…

Live life lovingly.

PS : A simple take on life so far, and in witnessing life & the living  around me.  I know life cannot be summed up in a word and there is much I want to add for every  decade… moreover  some words I have described may be experienced earlier  or later.

So to each their own…

Truth of Nature

Rain

It is the nature of rain
To wash away the dust
Until it’s clean and green.
Yet, too much rain
Floods and destroys.
Such is the truth of nature.

Each element of nature
Is balanced with the other.
The dry lands help sustain the wetlands…
One supports another
To sustain and thrive.
Such is the truth of nature.

Desert

Desert sand blows in the wind…
Winds carry the dust
Across the world,
Over lands and water,
Finding new settlements.

The truth of nature
Is the interconnections.
The kind that keeps us alive,
The kind we may not realize,
The kind we need to emulate
In this now and for our future,
To survive and thrive.

Just think…

If nature survives through quiet reciprocity, perhaps our own survival depends on learning to receive what is given, and giving what is needed.

Todays freeverses are inspirations that arrived  from contemplations with Anjana, my dear mother.

Truth of love

The truth of love is acceptance…
The kind that is unconditional.
It asks not another
To change and fit a mold,
Nor expects you to compromise your values.

The truth of love is realization
Of your heart’s expansion,
And seeing the possibilities
Amidst life’s myriad challenges.

The truth of love is freedom
From control and suppression.
True love breathes free
And lives life lovingly.

In reflection…
Ultimately, love is not a destination or a demand; it is a quiet, daily momentum. It is the conscious choice to move through a complex world and simply live life lovingly.

Love is not a bond that ties us down, but an expansion that sets us free…

If love is an expansion rather than a bond, what is one unspoken demand you can release today to let your relationships breathe freer?

The inspiration for these verses in flow arrived in the moment I started  commenting on this interesting poem and its take on love.

Live life lovingly.

Endless beginnings

We evolve along

As the dust settles

Winds of the desert,

As the raging storm subsides…

Like the water flows

Unto the vastness of the ocean,

We transition in phases

So interwoven within every now.

Endless beginnings indeed.

Emerging and merging,

Living life lovingly.

Savvy

PS

This piece was directly inspired by a reader’s kind and generous comment on my previous poem, Interwoven. The poem spoke of the universal source (nature, sun, ocean).

This poem is the sequel speaking of the internal journey (storms, dust settling).

In reflection I leave you with a thought…

If every ending is merely the source reshaping itself, how can we embrace the transitions of our lives not with fear, but as an endless beginning to practice the art of living life lovingly?

Interwoven

The Sun emits rays,
And it feels they are sent to Earth,
But they remain part of the source.

A drop of the ocean
Becomes rain,
And merges back
Into the ocean.

All shapes and forms
Multiply and diminish,
As part of the same source.

Every energy is as it is…
Emerging and merging,
In time and patience.

You and I are not different…
We are part
Of the same source.

All that is,
Is one with the source.

In knowing that you and I
Are part of this source,
We enact the purpose
Of our being in faith & trust…

Emerging and merging,
Living life lovingly.

Savvy

“If we are all beautifully interwoven with the same cosmic source, how can we step out into the world today and consciously choose to live life lovingly?

Inside outside

Inside outside

Quick fixes  are only a band aid.Temporary ways are not the answer. It is about creating a simple routine that is consistent.

Zoom beyond small niggles. See the bigger picture to understand the truths of  reality.Distil it all for a take away.

You are not the problem.

Care for yourself. You can build yourself. Be kind to yourself. Overdoing anything  overwhelms. Choose consistency over intensity.

Change your life for the better by doing something good for yourself .Through small changes that change your relationship with who you are.

Savvy

In reflection…

Real growth isn’t a battle to be won through self-punishment. It is a relationship to be nurtured through self-kindness. In shifting how you relate to yourself through small, daily, consistent choices, perspectives change.

Life transforms from inside out.

Dear Reader,

When things feel out of balance, what is that one quick fix you find yourself reaching for?

And would you choose consistency  over intensity?

And if so in what ways… do share.

Ripples of Reflection

Like drops of water

Creating circles upon ripples

In the vastness of the  ocean of life,

One thought leads to another,

One word finds another,

One deed creates a momentum.

What is common is the energy,

In the ripple of reflections

Sparking creative flows

That finds its own purpose.

For nothing is accidental

Every thing connects

In its own time.

Savvy

From the standpoint  of physics, a ripple doesn’t actually  move the water forward, it moves the energy  through the water…

Likewise our creative and spiritual practices are simply  conductors for channeling deeper universal energy.

This perspective shift acknowledges that timing and alignment  are natural laws  and not coincidences thereby  discards the unnecessary anxieties in trying to force outcomes…

After all we are both the drop of water and the ocean itself.

So if every thought word and deed creates ripples in the vast ocean of your life, what is the nature of the wave you are setting in motion right now?

Dare To Be

You ask questions

that you already know

the answers to.

Again and again.

Hoping to confirm

the way to yourself

And that, its all right.

Dare to be all that

you know you actually are.

Live life love life

In it, you will find answers

And yourself again.

Savvy

A few reflections…

The Echo: What is one question you find yourself asking others repeatedly, even though deep down you already know the answer?

The Permission: What are you waiting to hear when you seek external validation? What changes if you give that exact permission to yourself today?

The Dare: What does “daring to be all that you know you actually are” look like for you in this current chapter of your life?
