A lack of tolerance, inequality, indignity, racial discrimination, body shaming, gender bias, atrocities on women ,child safety issues as much the forest fires and global warming and not to forget the threats of terror, war and more.
We are simply making it more difficult to live in this planet with each other by our egoplays, taking one another and our world for granted and need for domination without a consideration of the consequences of our actions.
Why can’t we coexist in peace and in strength of unity in this beautiful ball of blue?
Here is a guided meditation for cultivating compassion in thoughts words & deeds.
Take a few moments to ease in and breathe genttly in a quiet space.
In awareness calmly sense the natural rhythm of your own breath.
Think of someone you know who is kind and imagine the warmth that radiates from your heart towards them and extend the very same energy to someone who is challenged by it.
In every inhale, welcome peace in silence and likewise in every exhale release the unnecessary. Inhale faith and exhale doubt.
Every positive compassion filled thought reshaped the internal narrative and the world around us.
Sense the moments integrating in empathy in compassionate connection & possibility.
Incorporating such conscious and intentional practices embodies compassion into our spheres of influence in and around us through thoughts, words & deeds
Do share your reflections on what it means to be connected in the world today. Let’s spark the movement towards cultivating global compassion.
A slice of life Poets may carve with words… Emerging from life experiences Lived or observed. Poets may offer fresh perspectives Embedded in words in a flow…
In Poets, empathy makes you sense and relate with compassion, It makes you feel one with another. Yet the poet is strategic as to be a poem the verses need to be well thought as much as well felt, as words manage to touch another soul in inexplicable ways.
And I love this inspiration that I came across in my readings today…
Because forgiveness is like this:
A room can be dark because you have closed the windows, you’ve closed the curtains. But the sun is shining outside, and the air is fresh outside. In order to get that fresh air, you have to get up and open the window and draw the curtains apart. Desmond Tutu
You will continue to suffer if you have an emotional reaction to everything that is said to you True power is sitting back and observing things with logic. True power is restraint. If words control you that means everyone else can control you. Breathe and allow things to pass
Being alive and having life Are two different things All have a life Many acknowledge it Few live it with will But far few live it with love Life is life after all It’s in you How you choose to live. Life is for you to acknowledge Know you have this one life Care to live life lovingly?
There is the power of sounds Discovered in Silence In meditative stillness In contemplative introspection In expansiveness of understanding In the depth of listening There is then the power of words Of vision in the verses Or expressions of the uniqueness All mere vibrations in resonance.
Thank you for the depth of your empathic listening.
Life with all its complexities and contrasts creates a necessity to chalk out ways to make young impressionable minds better equipped to handle its exigencies. Holistic education is so much about grounding in connectedness as much as it is about intuitive understanding that, harmony in the mind-body connection is a way of life and living.
An education in empathic behaviour becomes paramount in a materialistic world.A lot of misconception about empathy needs clarification.
Empathy is seeing with another, listening to another acknowledging them as they are, in a non-judgemental space and being with another sensing the feelings and caring to reach out with support through words action and deeds …
Empathy can be sensed in a touch a nod or a smile or in the simplicity of silence too doing nothing but just being there …
Empathy is a sharing, a feeling, a bonding, a being, a seeing, a sensing a trusting and believing in hope, in faith, in life and grace .
Empathy is about caring , as a way of being.Empathy is not always about bearing the suffering and sensing another’s pain or being in a state of sorrow or pain . There can arise great empathy when dancing together or in a classroom environment where the teacher feels one with the students frame of mind and speaks to address that … or hearing or performing a song or play together with unbridled sense of bonding and enthusiasm. This empathy can be reflected time and time again in striving to consciously stay aware of the mutually creative fulfilment it brings to our lives . Positive benefits of empathy can become a mirror to gradually inducing greater empathic behaviour in our lives towards ourselves and others .
When there is an empathy in action it is mirrored in our own minds to create, generate loving and caring thoughts as a response to the action .
Every empathic thought finds its way into expression thoughts words or deeds creatively. With increasing empathic thought and action there is unknowingly a connectedness valuing the interdependence in this web of life and living as a way of being.
