Thankful

To dance is to move with all of you.

To dance is to have hope in the living.

To dance is to feel the spirit of life in the movement.

To dance is to know the value of time.

To dance is to feel the rhythm in the beat.

To dance is to sense the subtlety of life.

To dance is to acknowledge the life in every moment.

I am thankful…to the art of dance 💃

Happy For Four!!!!

Just received a lovely reminder here on WordPress…

My site www.savvyraj.com turns 4 today!

Every tiny achievement is a step forward towards a goal. A goal perhaps to publish books someday!✍

My heartfelt thanks to my dear mother for motivating me to write. To my loving daughter and my better half for being there and supporting me in my journey. And recently my aunt who has chanced upon my writings and is now ardently encouraging me.

There is an invisible bond that forms between a writer and reader, a relationship that thrives if it is of mutual respect and understanding. As both are giving away their precious time of their lives in the writing and the reading. Ideally, it is a symbiotic relationship as there can never be one without the other. Both are valuable and contribute deeply in their mere presence.

A reader is as necessary to the writer as ink and paper, as without a reader the writer will have no reason to put down thoughts in written format. And if there is no one yet at least for the self to read on.:))

Have become a writer along the way without even realizing it since I started my blogging journey. And the WordPress experience is truly insightful as well as inspiring not to mention deeply rewarding. All thanks to my dear WordPress family of friends, followers and readers.🙏 Many of you with your hearty engagement, appreciation and your kind words through these years have been truly motivating me. I sincerely appreciate your continued presence through these years.

Must confess the journey so far has been a creatively enriching discovery for me of some amazing writers and their wonderful writings. Some have inspired me with precious comments as well, which have been gems of thoughts in reflection.

Thank you and so grateful to each of you dear patrons for your generous support and kind appreciation.💙🙏💙

On healing

Allow the self to heal

Life challenges, teaches and evolves in the strangest of ways.
When you resolve to heal, all of nature conspires to begin your healing
It is all in the allowance, in the permissions that you give yourself to let go of your inhibitions and hesitations that stalled your healing in the first place.
As you permit your self to move beyond your limitations that you set on yourself, you begin to see the changes manifesting in and around your body, mind ,spirit and in your life!

All things move freely and you flow through…people appear who are meant to help you heal , So give in and allow your self to be all that you truly are .
You are a divine manifestation of consciousness. Remember that and all is well!

Project 101

Today marks a personal milestone in blogging as I publish my 101st post. I have completed my continuous 100 days of writing on WordPress.

On a lark after a challenge to post a few of my favourite songs for three consecutive days came my way from a fellow blogger and friend Dr Sridhar. I decided to take it up and posted my favourite songs for three days. Then I started thinking if I could manage to post for a week and continued to write . The seven days went smooth and easy and then I upped my goal a little further to see if I could write a post everyday for a month.

I had a few ground rules established in my head . First that this was no competition to complete in pressure but simply an effort to see if I would find an inspiration to write on anything that caught my fancy each day . Second would I have the perseverance to continue and be able to dedicate time towards the effort .
Thirdly I wanted to see if I could keep my readers and audiences interested if I happen to post everyday.
And most of all I wanted to test whether my creative instincts are effected in anyway by habit…
A months regular posting on WordPress got me supercharged to aspire some more. Wp would egg me on with reminders of completing a 30th day streak of posting on WordPress.
It was no surprise that once I reached 30 I wanted to try and reach the 50th day.
Seemed then that I could do it if I was smart enough to manage my writing time around the early hours of the day. And that’s what I did.
No one in my family or friends knew much about this plan, but I was pretty clear how to go about it by then and dedicated a bit of time to writing every morning no matter what.

A few learnings.

Have a goal that seems workable, it is easier to focus.

Persevere… and believe you can work towards it.

Push your goal a step ahead as you reach a level.

Manage your time better, to make it happen

Value your goal and be dedicated.

Your creative sense will begin to work for you all the more…

Believe in your self and be passionate

Trust that you will find the way!

And most of all enjoy the journey as much as the destination.😊

Although I have written on WordPress for a few years now and I would have written and posted perhaps continously as well earlier without my own realisation. This was a task that had a goal and hence it is different to me.

The last few months have been personally challenging in terms of health where I was even admitted to the hospital and I am continuing to battle a condition that might require surgery soon. So basically being unwell literally I use the relatively painfree bits of time in the day, I have in my hands for creative enrichment …be it writing or painting and more.

Blogging through I reached my 50th day of posting. And I knew I couldn’t stop it in my heart . The magic figure of 100 floated in my mind and I was sold to the idea of making it happen.

Today it is the 101st day streak of publishing a post everyday and I truly wonder how I managed it all along with my present condition.

My biggest take back has been the loving support and generous comments from my readers which kept me going .
But other than that was a learning and affirmation that if we really make up our mind , we can beat the odds and find a way to acheive our goal .

Besides that I realised how my reading others blogs and writing every day would bring up some topic to contemplate creatively for the next day. The best part was I never had to try too hard … every post I wrote and shared I enjoyed with all my heart.

Writing gives me a sense of completion.
A feeling of contentment of a job well done. And if its well received it truly makes my day… and my fellow writers this I am pretty sure you would agree as well.

Thank you my dear readers and friends for staying with me right through. It has been an absolute pleasure to share and learn along the way… on what I can gratefully now call Project 101.
Wishing an awesome year 2019 for us all !
God bless all!

Think well!

Here is a beautiful story that is worth a read and share.

A young woman was sitting at her dining table, worried about taxes to be paid, house-work to be done and to top it all, her family was coming over for Thanksgiving the next day. She was not feeling very thankful at that time. As she turned her gaze sideways, she noticed her young daughter scribbling furiously into her notebook. “My teacher asked us to write a paragraph on “Negative Thanksgiving” for homework today.” said the daughter, “She asked us to write down things that we are thankful for, things that make us feel not so good in the beginning, but turn out to be good after all.”

With curiosity, the mother peeked into the book. This is what the daughter had written:
“I’m thankful for Final Exams, because that means school is almost over. I’m thankful for bad-tasting medicine, because it helps me feel better. I’m thankful for waking up to alarm clocks, because it means I’m still alive.” It then dawned on the mother, that she had a lot of things to be thankful for! She thought again… She had to pay taxes but that meant she was fortunate to be employed. She had house-work to do but that meant she had her own home to live in. She had to cook for her family for Thanksgiving but that meant she had a family with whom she could celebrate.

Moral:We generally complain about the negative things in life but we fail to look at the positive side of it. What is the positive in your negatives?
Look at the better part of life this day and make it a great day”

SOUL TO SOUL

Soul to soul
Heart to heart
Speaketh one to another

I am another you
One soul to another
I am an extension
Of your own love of Life

I seek your blessings
I seek your knowledge
I seek your wisdom
I seek your strength

Ingrained in the sands of time
You have experience of life in living
That I have none
I begin with what you give

Your thoughts your intentions
Your belief and faith
Interweave in mine
To carve this new life

An imprint of you, I am
As much as the souls before.

Power of words

Our thoughts have power
And so do our words

Do you even know how blessed you are?
Your being there is enough!

Feeling so grateful for all I have!
I believe all is well…

Just with these few words above
You have forayed rightaway
Into the vibration of resonance
A shift towards positive mindsets
Into the dimensions of healing awareness
Through the sound of these spoken words.

So take stock of your potential within
You have so much going for you
Remember to believe
In the power of your own words

There is much you can do for this world
to transform for the better.
And it can start with you…
Good thoughts good words
Can be a start…
Think well, Choose well Speak well!

A tap into Gratitude.

A mail to me this morning made me stop and smile and tap into gratitude with all my heart.

It was from my reader and friend now over the years, who has been extremely supportive of my journey through the vision and verses.

A share of kindness and appreciation can be the spring well of creativity. A few lines in dedication to this kind and caring soul….

My dear patron,

Your compliments inspire me on my path

Your words encourage & your belief supports

Recently you asked about my art, vision and verse …

You asked me,  where I create from

You asked me, how long it takes to form.

You asked me from where warmth and positivity spring forth in my words.
Life they say is the best teacher guide and mentor

Perhaps in the siftings of life and living

The colours of my art emerge

Perhaps the sounds  of words felt deep within

I sense again in the verses I write

Perhaps the blow of  incessant hot and cold winds of changes

Mellow my words with moderation

Words are powerful I  deeply believe

As I had written somewhere earlier too

In faith hope and trust

I care to send out my thoughts

That they may shift the perspectives

Of another’s thought to turn to the positive.

That they may  bring the very same contentment

in the reading and sensing

to awaken the spirit and let their soul shine

With love and gratitude

in the realisation of all that is.

That I feel deep within.
Beauty of it all is

That life continues

To be a great impactor

In the winds of changes

There is much to understand and know

New learnings new knowings

That teach as they are happening the now.

The trick is to be open

and allow it all in the flow

To assimilate and acknowledge

This wealth of wisdom between you & me.

So I thank your questions here to me

As it awakens my spirit now to

Brave new frontiers of creativity

But with deep responsibility.

Thank you for the pause in my thoughts

You invoke with your caring query.
Significance of creative endeavours

Arise first  from curiosity and concern

That propels new paths and purpose…

In this journey of life and living.
