Where is your sense of being?
Your space to make sense of life!
Are you acquainted well and in tune with your habitat?
How well do you know of who you are?
Can you fathom the potential possibilities
Of your ubiquitous and unique life?
Between the known and unknown
Of the simple to the complex
Emerge new patterns in the making
From the reigning confusion in the chaos.
Creating in the exploring
Illusory dimensions in reflections
What is logical and yet elusive
The ambiguity of certainty!
And yet …
Our sense of being, while creating new patterns of thoughts is deeply rooted in nature, and in nurture, which gives it a sense of direction in spite of the chaos and confusion.
Many times in our lives, many of us are at times challenged and confounded by these moments, that I would prefer to call ‘ What if ‘moments. Like for instance ‘if only I had done this , if only I had said that, if only I had the sense to think this way and so on and so forth!!!
The main reason I feel these feelings occur is that when we are faced with a trying situation for e.g. sometimes some of us buckle under the pressure, maybe to conform with the norm or worry about what is the ideal way to behave that we don’t focus on what is necessary for the moment and fail to capitalize on our strengths.
A few of us feel threatened enough to attack the offender or be brutal enough verbally or physically and regret later about our lack of discretion and control.
Still others who are so numbed by what is happening end up being dumbfounded that they don’t know what struck them… And there are those who are quite indifferent to the situation so much that you wonder if they are human at all only to realise later that there is an emotionally charged outburst long after the stressful event.
Basically when one is feeling pressured or during extreme stress of a new situation with a feeling of being pushed to a wall , we need to be aware of it , but the force of what is coming must be cleverly deflected from our path and neutralised.
If only this learning is valued, taught and applied many of us will be much happier souls. This means we must learn to be present in the moment, for which we first need to develop a keen sense of balance and control in all areas of our life. In thoughts words and deeds. This in itself is a powerful tool to calm a person enough to handle any so called crisis. When we are in a state of balance we are clearer in what we want and our existing resources.
This opens up possibilities of channelling the strengths of our resources positively to the common good of all.
Daily we could simply strive to imbibe at least some of these in our lives…..
To reduce our impulsive reactions
To balance our needs and expectations
To conquer our ego but value ourselves.
To focus on the present moment
To cleanse the mind by thought awareness
To cleanse the body by healing movements
To learn to be patient and develop perseverance
To understand the importance of
equanimity and composure
To control anger and other sensory indulgences
To be kind, generous, open minded and tolerant
To believe in equality
To conquer our unnecessary fears and inhibitions
To live our lives lovingly, completely being in every moment of it without passing it up for another time!
To develop a sense of respect for self and equally respect another.
Finally to be grateful for all that we have at this moment…
When we have the grace of gratefulness we will possibly be more balanced and composed to deal with situations wisely and life’s moments will turn to be positively enriching experiences.
Take a moment to think if its worth your energy and time…

And here is nice little message worth a read on anger management.
I once asked a very successful Man to share his secret with me. He smiled and said to me.. “I started succeeding when I started leaving small fights for small fighters. I stopped fighting those who gossiped about me…I stopped fighting with my in laws…I stopped fighting for attention…I stopped fighting to meet public expectation of me…I stopped fighting for my rights with stupid people..I left such fights for those who have nothing else to do but fight…And I started fighting for my vision, my dreams, my ideas and my destiny. The day I gave up on small fights is the day I started becoming successful.”
Some fights are not worth your time. Choose what you fight for wisely…..
When wisdom knocks it is never easy… When wisdom knocks know its just the beginning When wisdom knocks be ready to be challenged When wisdom knocks know you are learning When wisdom knocks know you are meant to learn When wisdom knocks be open to understand When wisdom knocks it opens many doors
When wisdom knocks know be ready to experience the now When wisdom knocks be ready to dare When wisdom knocks be ready to acknowledge When wisdom knocks be ready to respect When wisdom knocks be ready to witness When wisdom knocks be ready to accept When wisdom knocks be ready to gain When wisdom knocks be ready to let go When wisdom knocks know the value of balance
When wisdom knocks know your own equanimity When wisdom knocks be ready to know your self When wisdom knocks know there is something beyond your self When wisdom knocks be aware of the greater purpose When wisdom knocks become willing to understand beyond…
When wisdom knocks know it seeks you When wisdom knocks know there is always a reason When wisdom knocks trust yourself When wisdom knocks keep the faith When wisdom knocks know you are in the path of awakening.
When wisdom knocks be ready to accept responsibility When wisdom knocks know you are strengthened in spirit and soul. When wisdom knocks know you are on your path. When wisdom knocks know you are blessed When wisdom knocks know you are enough for you!.
There are many knocks of wisdom… Each unique in its potential lesson To learn to see the now in every moment Every knock of wisdom leaves imprints in the spirit of the soul. Are you ready?

Does karma affect destiny?
And whether we can change our destiny?
What are your thoughts I would love to hear… also as the meaning, the interconnects and interpretation of karma and destiny can be manifold. To each their own.
Our paths are preordained
But we create our karma in every moment.
I simply believe that there is always more than we know and can even begin to fathom
And yet things occur for our own evolution.
While the laws of nature
Take its course
The karmic cycles and destiny
Are juxtaposed in their own way.
The question a life may ask
In deepest turmoils
Is how are we to overcome karma
Or can destiny be changed at all.
Then intelligent life may ascertain
In search and knowing
Of the power of will and choice
To overcome the thorns of agony
It may project positivity
It may sense equanimity
It may become non judgemental
It may learn to value moments.
Yet can it change what is to be endured?
Can it prevent pain altogether?
Karma is linked into past present and future…
Through cause and effects, action and reaction.
And well, destiny is the way it was meant to be
You may transform your karmic status in every response.
And Destiny is not necessarily changed
Yet it can be transcended.
Simple ways to transform karma
To bring about a space between the steps
To respond than react. Simple ways to transcend destiny
To choose goodwill in and around you.
To ask but less for the self and more for the good of others around you.
To practice thinking beyond ones limited self.
To remember to let go, to give more than you receive.
For only if what we are ready to give can transcend limitations, can we see abundance within and around us.
Such is the way of life and living.
My recent poem ‘The Middle Path of Peace‘ evoked many responses. The following verses are my musings to a comment … Especially the one by a reader on the necessity of war.
I propose here a moment in peace
Through the following verses…
Hate is never meaningful, love is
War is never meaningful, peace is.
To confuse war to be the answer for peace
Is the greatest fallacy of mankind
For the war never truly ends once begun
It sprouts the seeds of hate before it is over.
Yes, wars are fought
When equality and freedom are forfeited
As a privilege of a few,
When oppression and chaos reign,
When pushed beyond resilience,
When backing down is not an option,
For it is, then, a matter of self-preservation and survival.
Born free we truly are, but we learn to evolve, to move beyond the soul cages of our own being!
When we learn to appreciate the freedom that is ours for the taking, we realize its value in deep gratitude!
“Do not do this… Do not do that…” often these are the words that are entrenched in our brains in the name of effective and good rearing.
We are told for goodness sake to avoid disappointments at all costs and to stay away from failure. Often our programming is tracked for success without a doubt.
Superb indeed! A mindful way of being that acknowledges the good and disregards the bad.
Great, then where is the issue? There should be none at all! However, the reverse is the case, and often as well!
For example, a child very lovingly brought up has to experience and grow in a world of dualities.
There are all kinds of people that make up this world and varied experiences to be had in this journey of life. Preparation of exigencies is thus a necessity after all.
Acceptance and Adaptability
This is the key that we mould from within as we evolve towards unlocking the secrets to a successful life.
Dealing with what must be dealt
Bending in the flow where it is necessary
Standing up for something or someone you care
Steering through a crisis that shows up without notice
All these take nerves of steel and resilience. And never forget to smile from the heart and all of your being.
Life is like that — a taste of bitter and sweet, all spiced with the nicest surprises yet tinged with necessary learnings along the way.
Freedom is being who you are
Everything alive has a right to be all that they manifest with the uniqueness of their thoughts. There is always room for expansion while accepting another as they choose to be.
Self-imposed restrictions may be a discipline necessary for one to learn, while for another it may stifle them if forced in even small measures. Caged by its own thoughts, the soul of the being needs to set itself free from limiting self-reflections to a spectrum of colours beyond.
Break free from the soul cages of convictions that hold you in chains of restrictions and evolve with your resurrection.
Remember, the world is as free as you want it to be. Just take care that along the way, another’s joy you do not steal.
In the acceptance of the free-spiritedness of another being, there is the unshackled lightness of your own being!
Wisdom speaketh not always in words It sends forth a knowing of its presence At times elusive like the spirit of the being, blowing in the wind. At other like a soul in the living, sensing, emoting in the feeling.
And in such a knowing Understand the bliss In the moments Acknowledge the grace In the blessing.
Sense its presence Allow it to communicate Honour its effects Respond with all your being.
For wisdom is a deliverance That comes from the truth in the being Of life, loved and lived Giving eternal hope to the living.
