Your life is not just your own, thinking so is an illusion.
You are meant to be all that you can be.
You have a purpose that is larger than your self.
You are meant to live & reach out and be expansive
You are meant to merge and emerge in the new circles of connection.
The choice of being true to yourself is yours to make
The patterns you create help expand the universe.
The connections you make in your lifetime leave a pattern in the grid for another to sense and evolve in time.
No two patterns are alike as the patterns are unique to your being.
Your purpose then is to live your life to the best of yourself.
Reach out to make a connection and experience the realms and yet staying true to your centre.
As you learn your way back home, more will find their way back home in time and space continuum.
To be Continued.
I am starting an experimental journey and would like to invite you to be a part of it.
Everyday for the next seven days I will be writing and sharing a few verses in flow that you can choose to continue as well. Would love to explore the connection in what evolves through the week and see the interweaves in the interconnects.
Day 1 Truth
Everything has a beginning
Nothing can materialize
Out of nowhere.
The beginning holds the truths
Acceptance is the key
To the entire journey.
Make peace with it, make amends
It helps smoothen the ends.
Our life is simple or complex
As we care to think of it
For no matter, the state of life
We can care to see beyond ourselves
There is a world that survives
On the fringes of existence
The stark truths deliver us
A reality bite of how privileged we are.
Wherever we are in this world
If we are alive and well
If we have a roof on our head
And sustenance to be nourished
We should consider ourselves blessed
And choose to care from our heart
As life can be lonely & feel a little lost.
There is much going on around
That we cannot solve
But often enough
There is much one can do…
All it takes is a few words
To make another’s day
Giving and sharing goodwill
A kind word, a genuine smile
In hope and trust.
To leave the world in a better place.
The truth of life is that it challenges
Every minute of our now
In one way or the other
But then instead of seeking more
What if we began living with gratitude
Learning to enjoy this now as it is
Living beyond simply existing.
Then perhaps we can truly say
We are alive to the life in us.
Experiencing life in all dimensions.
Umpteen number of years gone by Though I lost the count, Nature got it etched on my trunk. I can’t remember when I was a seed or sapling. Today I stand tall being a witness to the passing seasons. I wither and flourish, With each passing year My branches multiply tall and wide. Though my hands try to reach the passing clouds…
My roots stand firmly grounded on the earth. My secret of longevity I adapt to Nature Withering in Autumn Clad in the snow in Winter Rising to be alive with Rains Flourishing in Spring. Though I may look barren at times My creeper friends cloth me in green Till my canopy is filled with greens. To nurture and nourish withstanding Time.

I am truly happy to share the above verses for this is one of my mother’s impromptu poems written in a flow, just a while ago, after I shared the above photo of a tree that I was drawn to capture with her.
Tall trees that seem to touch the sky …
devoid of leaves and blue skies with silver puffs of clouds floating by…
I am currently in France and while sitting in a bus stand admiring a tree at a distance, I decided to take this photo as I found myself drawn to capturing the vision of the sky from the ground below through the branches as a canopy of sorts.
Every manifestation of life is beautiful and significant in its own way. We often assume that a tree devoid of leaves is barren and ignore it. Yet there is so much to see and learn, respect & reflect from it.
I loved the above poem by her for many reasons one of which is because, it reflects the wisdom of nature, that flows through us all maintaining balance and sustaining us in life and living.
A few musings from my mother’s heart that I feel like sharing here today!
When we walk along the path of roses, thorns are unavoidable.
It doesn’t mean we stop walking. Remove the thorns from our way and proceed further
It may hurt. But It won’t last. Let’s keep going.
Life is like a seesaw
It keeps going and down.
The fall and climb are parts of the life. Fret not if our efforts don’t yield results.
The seed needs its own time
To grow into a tree,
The buds to blossom as fragrant flowers,
The fruits and grains, to ripe to nourish
Yet till then they need all the care and nurture
So do our dreams, take its own time n
our continuous effort to become reality.
Waves fall to rise again
Leaves fall to bring
spring again
Day falls to bring a new dawn again
Arere we not a part of Nature?
We may fall, be sure we will rise again
Our dreams are the seed.
Our patience is the time
Our hard work is the nurture
Our Faith and Hope, the nourishment.
Do we remember to thank every day.
Yes most days perhaps not always. Sometimes life can be tough too!
Are we grateful to life?
Yes deeply grateful
But we often take it for granted too!
A reminder is sent along
In the most unexpected turns of events
Sometimes to value what we still have
To remind us to let go the frivolities
To spare a thought for the blessings
And offer a prayer for them.
And thus pause for a moment
In gratitude for the good and the bad
And all things in between
In knowing all is well
As all is meant to be.

When you sense a saddened heart
Say I am going to share some care.
When you meet indifference & antipathy
Say I am going to spread goodwill in empathy.
When you encounter a dull day
Say I am going to make it joyous
When you are faced with despair
Say I am still hopeful of change.
When you are feeling lost in a maze
Say I am going to find out a way
For there is always a way out
Keep your cheer about you
Know you are enough for you
And you will begin to light the way
Just by the way you are.
And because you truly can!
Today is celebrated as the Worlds Environment Day, let us take a moment to appreciate trees and plants around us for the beautiful and blessed presence and let us make an effort to preserve them and grow more.
If emotions were tubes of colours
The way we paint every day
The way we live our lives
The way we think and express
Our own experiences in being.
Will be a riot on the canvas.
Envisioning in the seeing…
Flashes of brilliance in bright yellow
Of optimism and cheer
Sporadically surging joy and ecstasy.
Going green in connectedness
Contented lines flowing in trustful acceptance
Or moves markedly hesitant in fear and apprehension.
Arresting artistry of living life in loving kindness
Explosions of reds marking anger
Or in delusions of grandeur in aggression.
In ingenious masterstrokes in fits of rage
Of imagination running wild.
Colour of Purple in projecting pride.
Of passionate perseverance to detail
Or a certain aloofness in respectful reservation.
A sense of ascension and royalty.
Shades of blue in thoughtful flow and serenity
Or organic spaced out zenful zones
Of mindful movements in the making.
Yes there is an emotion in every colour
As colours are but tools of expression
Of the ever changing moods of man
How colorful is the spirit of our soul.
Every colour plays a significant role
Like in the wheel of colours
So are emotions that appear
In the wheel of life.
Each plays it’s part.
All matters to the whole.
Just a casual conversation with a dear friend on Facebook threw open a facet of her innate personality, she loves to watch others dance and probably would love to learn too, but may be a complex of how it might be perceived, or so has kept her from trying. She also believes she has two left feet…
Well this is a notion held by many people, who may be basically shy or introverted by nature, or even perfectionists , or perhaps have some conditional experiences that makes them uncomfortable in daring to dance.
We went about talking as to how this can be helped.
Some simple yet profound movements that can help as starters.
A few things to remember:
It’s important to give yourself permission to begin movements, in whatever way you think best… a bow in prayer, a call out to yourself, or simply start with watching the dance of your breath in passive awareness and feel energized, with your in-breath and with every out-breath sense the release of that which needs to go …respect begins at home!
Sense, observe and feel one with any movement that you make, accepting the strange and the beautiful, the harmonious and the shaky moves … as part of the same source and believe there is a reason why they are what they are .
Take your time! There is no rush to prove anything so go with what works for you.
Preparation:
Allocate a time and place for yourself in the day at home. Clear the space and rearrange some furniture so that you have some moving space, without any obstructions. Option to have a mirror in front is totally yours as and when you want to allow it to happen. Mirrors reflect our actions so it helps to have one as a silent guide.
Make sure to remove jewellery, watches that may obstruct movement & avoid chewing gum as it is distracting.
As you begin moving on your feet it’s better to wear cotton socks for ease and flow of movement and preferably wear stretchable or loose clothes that don’t restrict body movements.
Remember the first time need not be the last time, just don’t give up! As with everything else, practise dancing from the heart and soul and be open to the changes in the flow.
With every movement we create energy in the room or space we are practicing. Each session is different. Sometimes exhausting, energizing, calming, stimulating, etc depending on a number of factors . Try to be receptive and accepting of that energy.
Aim:
To find yourself as you dance, accepting yourself as you create expressions through movements. Sensing the power of letting go & the power of Dancing as you move.
Take yourself a little less seriously. Enjoy Yourself!
My friend questioned me about how to actually start dancing. Having shared endless conversations completely whimsical or tremendously uplifting with her over the years I know her, I simply wanted to reach out to her and remind her, how much she has already moved with her unique experiences, dancing through the tunes of life. How many movements she already has explored in silent rapture and conscious presence. And how many times she has been supportive, constructive, connective ,caring, loving, giving, tender, gentle & corrective in her movements towards the ones she cared. People like me! Well it was time to gently remind her of her own innate creative flows…
Dance to your own tunes.
Depending on what suits your mood at the moment, let yourself hear some tune, that vibrates with the inner you. Knowing her soft and gentle nature, I suggested some soothing music to be played in the background without it being too overbearing. Since she was wondering how to begin… I suggested her to sit down and allow just her fingers, then her hand and then the arms to begin to move with the music, just yielding, flowing as she felt like from the depth of her soul.
Neutralizing the rest of the body allows the ease of tension of perceptions. With just the hands in front of the person as they move, one could draw a circle with each individual hand. trace a simple pattern, write their names in cursive , using the pace and flow that seems right for them. Many who don’t physically dance much in the open are self- conscious of their physical body. So its important to be gradual in the movements. Once the hands start getting comfortable to move from an inner calling of the rhythm, it’s time to allow the sway of the shoulders or even allow the foot to take a step ahead.
Soon the rest of body joins the dance gradually as you allow and acknowledge the presence of the creative dancer in you.
Movements may seem shaky and erratic at first and as you persevere you begin to see the changes. The movement starts getting connected with the inner you and you begin to merge with the tune and the movement.
After all there is a teacher in you for the disciple in you!
A picture that is open to so many interesting interpretations…
Is this a stairway to heaven
The path that sets you free
Steps that lead the way
To the light of eternal truth
Your life is given to you
A knowing is bestowed upon you
In hope that you will seek
And find the truth of your being.
All answers are within you
To sense and understand
Life is both hell and heaven if you wish.
All it needs is a stairway to the within.
In the rigours of life and living
Find those moments that move you beyond simply existing!
Search not the whole world over
In confusion and chaos over the emerging illusions.
For in all the facade of perceptions
The truth is simple and visible
If you choose to actually notice.
Seek if you must
The truth of your own life.
The purpose of your own being.
Choose to be responsible.
To acknowledge the wonder you are
Make friends with your inner self.
Treat it with care and consideration
Align your thoughts and action.
You will soon find within yourself
The stairway to the heaven in you!
