Irony of our times
In the name of connection
We are truly disconnected
We are celled to our phones
Caught hook line and sinker…
Glued to a metal contraption
That’s overtaking our lives
Living in a imaginary world
We are feeding on bytes
While reality bites
Haven’t we taken
A bite of more than we can chew?

Here is an animation by Steve Cutts …that brings forth the stark truth of our times.
I write when I am charged with an idea, an inspiration. Or perhaps when there is nothing else to do.
I write to balance my emotions whenever it needs equilibrium.
I write to flow with the moment with a thought that aligns as it calls on and emerges into a pattern in prose or verse.
I write to understand better when thoughts overpower…overstimulate the mind.
I write to let go of all that comes to my mind which I feel and hope can make a positive difference somewhere to someone reading me.
I write at times in deliberation too, to process and synthesize new understandings.
I write to unshackle from the many convictions I may unknowingly hold. As I write they break loose from restrictive spaces and help to align my thoughts in the sifting.
I write to express the bounties of life that I’m blessed to enjoy in gratitude.
I write to sense the bliss of being with all of me in the moment.
I write to radiate the positive intentions in hope & gratitude.
What is it about the twilight sun?
Colours blending in the contrasts
Like the day and night waltzing
Ever so gently with each other.
Time makes space in its steps
To sense the surreal
And what to say of scenic hues
Of the sky the sea and the sun.
Of icy white glistening with snow
As the light shimmers with water
Watch the snow melting
Gently in the flaming light…
Golden orange hues of the sun
Casting itself over the sea.
Reflecting through the clouds of gold
Blending the burning brilliance.
In the dance of the dusk and dawn
A visual treat appears for all to see
To witness the ethereal everyday
In those moments in between
Even if it’s just for few fleeting moments …
If emotions were tubes of colours
The way we paint every day
The way we live our lives
The way we think and express
Our own experiences in being.
Will be a riot on the canvas.
Envisioning in the seeing…
Flashes of brilliance in bright yellow
Of optimism and cheer
Sporadically surging joy and ecstasy.
Going green in connectedness
Contented lines flowing in trustful acceptance
Or moves markedly hesitant in fear and apprehension.
Arresting artistry of living life in loving kindness
Explosions of reds marking anger
Or in delusions of grandeur in aggression.
In ingenious masterstrokes in fits of rage
Of imagination running wild.
Colour of Purple in projecting pride.
Of passionate perseverance to detail
Or a certain aloofness in respectful reservation.
A sense of ascension and royalty.
Shades of blue in thoughtful flow and serenity
Or organic spaced out zenful zones
Of mindful movements in the making.
Yes there is an emotion in every colour
As colours are but tools of expression
Of the ever changing moods of man
How colorful is the spirit of our soul.
Every colour plays a significant role
Like in the wheel of colours
So are emotions that appear
In the wheel of life.
Each plays it’s part.
All matters to the whole.
Have always wanted to grow vegetables and fruits in our terrace garden. But not knowing much about gardening we kept putting it off.
But seeing how much pesticides are there in vegetables and fruits that we consume, all of us in the family kept wanting to steer towards growing an organic garden.
Although there are a number of show plants and flowering plants that are already there…growing vegetables was still a challenge. So we decided finally to get a local gardeners advice to help start us off on our mission.
Now having no idea about the right planters for the vegetables we have taken up on his suggestion to get 3 pots for our initial vegetable cultivation trial. If successful we decided we can get more pots .
So next came the choice of vegetables to grow in these pots .Everyone came up with the name of some of their favorite vegetables for starters.
But then it got decided that we must grow vegetables that the gardener advises according to the season.
So now three vegetable seeds are sown in these pots . Time will gradually bring forth them into view . Till then it is a matter of patience in waiting
Week 2
A few shoots have emerged…
Energy in the emerging must be magnanimous for new life life to shoot out in the open. All the potential of possibilities of creative energy emerge with this act.
But each pot has a different seed and hence will take its course in time to shoot out to life. Nature never hurries. All in good time.
Yet humans are prone to impatience There was certainly this little bit of insecurity when we were all waiting, wishing to see the hope of a new life through a sign of some sprouting or shooting of a seed to a plant.
Experiences with gardening are a trial and error.
Watering plants correctly is an important learning for plants to grow well. We made our mistakes and learned along the way .
And then we got it right!
Now all the three plants have started growing in their pots. And it’s truly a lovely feeling to watch them grow!
Can you guess the emerging plants?
Yes they may be a long way from fruiting as yet but it’s nice to watch them grow in the nurturing.
Here are some tips on watering.
Lessons in watering plants
You can apply water to the soil directly not the plants. It’s better not to wet most plants as this can cause problems such as fungal diseases -and much will just evaporate away anyway. Water gently, with a rose (like a shower head) which will damage the soil less than a jet of water and prevent much mud splashing up onto the leaves. Also it’s better to wet the ground really heavily occasionally rather than to just splash a little about more often which can make the soil look damp on top while remaining dry underneath.
Aren’t we often biased about our brain’s workings?
Is creativity only by the so called right- brained?
Is attention to detail only by the logical left-brained?
We need to see beyond these narrow definitions
To broaden our sense of the spectrum of creativity.
Our creator has bestowed us variety in creativity.
We can be lyrically logical.
Analytically artistic and much more.
There are scientifically proven facts
Spouted from words of poets
And poetical manifestations
Of empirical evidences by scientists.
The proof of concepts
Lies in our own nature,
In the fractals of life,
Myriad and mystical
Yet mathematically coherent.
Our brilliance may shine in one field
Because perhaps we haven’t
Yet truly tapped and glimpsed
Into all of our own potential abilities.
Let’s never belittle the true self
For beyond the facade and ego dramas
Our every cell vibration is deeply tuned
To the forces of nature and nurture.
We are far more than we could ever know
We have all imbibed it well in our subconscious
It’s just a matter of time before the awakening
Of the stream of conscious energy in the flow.

As a dance educator I have very often come across statements like ‘Mam, I have two left,’ which meant they were so clumsy that they cant dance . Or that they have no balance.
This is truly just a perception…
If only we can understand there is a dance and a dancer in every life. And the dance goes on!
After all we all have a heart that is beating right now!❤
I have heard people often talk of the students of arts as right brained as they are more artistic . Or a science student classified as left brained and logical.
However there is so much more to people beyond these biased compartmentalization. When we begin to see beyond our limited beliefs we open ourselves to the potential within .
Our innate potential simply needs awakening to realise, the truth of who we are and what all we can be….
Discernment is a spiritual gift
As humanity stands perplexed
At times in the paradoxes of life
Confounded by challenges.
In the throes of confusion.
An ability to figure things out.
A clarity of purpose and reason.
An act of perception of the obscure.
An ability to be insighted and comprehend.
A sifting through to make sense of it all
Acknowledging the spirit of the soul
Meeting through both the head and the heart.
Discernment is a wonderful tool
In intervention than in criticism.
For the gift is an ability to distinguish
The truth, in the facades that may appear.
In understanding the real and unreal
The truths and the untruths
And everything in between.
When seen with dispassionate eyes
Beyond the mirrored existence
Shifting perspectives in the making.
Yet knowing simply all as parts of the same source.

Many deep-rooted issues that we choose to bury within manifest themselves in time as diseases of the mind and body.
We are better off in the sharing…
When things are too tough to handle
There is no point in holding it all.
The remedy is never in suppression.
But our world is happier wearing masks
In its facades the truth submerges
Only to rise like a Phoenix
Unexpectedly at the most inopportune of times.
Time to accept our vulnerabilities,
And find the strength from it.
Commend a share from the heart.
Support and appreciate their efforts.
Build a sense of community to help
For the truth is we are all in it together.
The healing is in the sharing In the very ability to share The first step of healing begins For often in brushing under the carpet The debris gets collected in time And manifests grief in unexpected ways… In the very vulnerability of life Is the strength of living.
Kudos to ‘Brave-hearts’ for sharing their stories. For it can inspire hope to someone somewhere… Who needs to know, all is well in life and living And hope is here to stay!
Where is your sense of being?
Your space to make sense of life!
Are you acquainted well and in tune with your habitat?
How well do you know of who you are?
Can you fathom the potential possibilities
Of your ubiquitous and unique life?
Between the known and unknown
Of the simple to the complex
Emerge new patterns in the making
From the reigning confusion in the chaos.
Creating in the exploring
Illusory dimensions in reflections
What is logical and yet elusive
The ambiguity of certainty!
And yet …
Our sense of being, while creating new patterns of thoughts is deeply rooted in nature, and in nurture, which gives it a sense of direction in spite of the chaos and confusion.
