Every moment that we choose to shine as bright as we can,
We begin to sense the lightness in the being.
In sensing the blessings of light
Light reflects Light!

These are certainly abilities worth cultivating :))
Ability to see the good is a great habit to cultivate
Ability to respect the people for who they are.
Ability to work with diversity of thoughts
Ability to coexist in peace and harmony.
Ability to generate goodwill whenever we can.
Ability to make light of things
Ability to dance in the rain
As much as in the lightness of being.

Silence is full of wisdom

We hear and understand more
Silence speaks more than words can say.
Listen to the intuitive
The meditative, contemplative
The reflective & the restorative voices
There is a connective wisdom
In the sounds of silence
Emanating from you.
It is your precious inner self
Expressing itself.
Be mindful and attentive
Listen if you can,
Every once in a while.”

Very interesting perspectives…
I wonder what makes the mind want to take a spill to art.
What evokes the heart to charge the creator with imagination and energy…
To be able to create such artful associations.
Some learnings from a Spill
To turnover a spill to evolve for better
If a child has spilled a cup of milk accidentally….
To keep calm and address the lesson in the spill like carefulness, steadiness, patience, thoroughness, cleanliness and most of all mindfulness.
What’s is spilled, is spilled already…. what matters is what we do about it.
Savvy
As a child when my daughter dropped a glass of water, spilled milk on the floor accidentally, without getting angry admonishing, I have used it as moments to convey such lessons… so much so that it made her understand the value being in the moment while doing anything.
Great lessons can be taught in such moments and vulnerability can become a strength in time.
Similarly one can intend
To create hope in a spill…
To sense a pattern of possibilities in a spill
To use a spillover to change mindsets
To challenge the statuesque through a spill.
To evoke creativity and art…
To test skillsets learned from a spill
To create art in revisiting patterns & perspective
To spill some more and align the pattern formations.
To move beyond the evident spillover…
To envision hope beyond the accidental spill
To accentuate the spill artfully
To create masterpieces from the potential in a spillover…
To understand there is always a reason why and the learnings to come.
To empathize with the spillings across the learning curve
So the very act of overflow or spill
Or a cup that runneth over
Can be a turning point in itself
With the many lessons to learn.
The choice rests with us.

This post is a spillover effect from an earlier share by my good friend Ali Anani, PhD.
A dear friend shared an overflowing cup of inspiration my way and asked me to share a few thoughts.
Here are my reflections in a flow…

Patterns of perception.
Making sense of sensibility
Emoting in the experiences
Of life and living.

The cup of the heart pours…
Flowing through it reaches
The centers of cognition
And the mind begins thinking.

The cup of mind assimilates.
Gathering insights and ideas
Creating patterns of perception
Everything that is, is not all.

In all that it appears to be
There is always more
For infinite are the possibilities
In every moment of perception.

The Suitcase
A man died, when he realized it, he saw God coming closer with a suitcase in his hand.
– God said: Alright son its time to go.
– surprised the man responded: Now? So soon? I had a lot of plans…
– I’m sorry but its time to go.
– What do you have in that suitcase? the man asked.
– God answered: Your belongings.
– My belongings? you mean my things, my clothes, my money?
-God answered: Those things were not yours they belonged to the earth.
– Is it my memories? the man asked.
-God answered: those never belonged to you they belonged to Time
– Is it my talents?
-God answered: those were never yours they belonged to the circumstances.
– Is it my friends and family?
-God answered: I’m sorry they were never yours they belonged to the path.
– Is it my wife and son?
– God answered: They were never yours the belonged to your heart.
– Is it my body?
– God answered: that was never yours it belonged to the dust.
-Is it my soul?
God answered: No that is mine.
Full of fear, the man took the suitcase from god and opened it just to find out the suitcase was empty.
– With a tear coming down his cheek the man said: I never had anything???
-God answered: that is correct, every moment you lived were only yours. Life is just a moment. a moment that belongs to you. For this reason enjoy this time while you have it. Don’t let anything that you think you own stop you from doing so.
-Live Now
-Live your life
– Don’t forget to be happy, that is the only thing that matters.
– Material things and everything else that you fought for stay here.
-YOU CAN’T TAKE ANYTHING

~ Silence ~
A day of Silence
Can be a pilgrimage in itself.
A day of Silence
Can help you listen
To the Soul play
In marvelous lute and drum.
Is not most talking
A crazed defense of a crumbling fort?
I thought we came here
To surrender in Silence,
To yield to Light and Happiness,
To Dance within
In celebration of Love’s Victory!
~ Hafiz ~
Be silent and sense the stillness
A million moves may be more
Are manifesting in this now
Hear the music unfold its rhthym
Be still and sense the moves
For stillness is full of movements
In the depth of Silence
We witness the dance within.

The power that creates
The omnipresence
Is all knowing consciousness
That is there to take care
All of creation
Cannot be without a reason
Trust the purpose
Keep the faith
Faith is all there is
Without faith nothing is

Have you ever wondered
What is it on your path
That makes you persevere
Like no tommorow
To keep giving all of you…

Something that is on the fringes
Something tangible and yet intangible
It is that which sparks you up
Nothing feels unbearable

Its as if your mind body & soul
Is finally integrated in the sensing
Of the brilliance at work
Beyond yourself.
You will know that when you meet
The purpose of your being
At some point in your life perhaps
In the most unexpected of ways
You will find in yourself
An energy summoned from within

To reckon with to persevere on.
Such is the dance of abundance
Of creation at play
Making life resonate to its cosmic ways…

The power is in the truth
Where truth is nothing dares
Such is the nature of truth
That whatever ways it is submerged
It always gets unearthed
And yet interestingly its often said…
The opposite of the great truth
Is also truth!
Such is the circle of life.

Our guiding voice from within
Is always speaking to us
Signaling in a whisper or a sign
Conveying what is the’ Gut feel ‘
Our second brain is often ignored
But it operates nevertheless
Resonating or relegating
An advice to our being
If only we know to listen in
We draw from its bank of wisdom
And better manage our choices
In staying integrated in life & living.

Soul Enrichers…
I do believe the journey of life, broadens the mind and brightens the spirit if we are ready to acknowledge the unfolding gifts of connections. along the way.
In my journeys across the world earlier, as a Dance Educator teaching and speaking about dance applications and approaches there have been some amazing people both in the dance circuits and otherwise, who I have had very fascinating conversations with…
I want to share a bit here about some of these beautiful people from across the world who I had a chance connect with, nothing planned, yet meeting them was truly soul enriching to say the least.
Would like to begin the first in these series of posts with Emily Berry who is now a dear friend.
Emily, the beautiful intelligent woman with an Indian Soul all the way from New York … who dances with all her heart and soul 🙂
We met in 2014 Greece, while we were representing our own countries at the World Dance Research Congress.
In her own words…
“I strive to create a safe space for students to learn, explore, question, and become independent thinkers and movers. In technique courses, I address each individual student’s unique body in order to help them develop their technique through muscle re-patterning. Students learn anatomical awareness and tools to help them move past road blocks.
In theory, improvisation and composition courses my main goal is to help student’s find their own voice. Creating a judgment free space is essential so students are not afraid to explore new movement possibilities.”

Berry’s choreography has been tackling such issues as race, the glass ceiling, domestic violence, women in prison, and war since 1995.
Today, brought in a beautiful memory of a time when I had an amazing afternoon walk with her, while at the Acropolis museum Athens.
I remember how a shared a common love for all things dance… got us interacting post our dance workshops and rest just fell in place!
We conversed like we have known each other from years ago…
‘Beautiful places… Beautiful memories ‘💙
