Live Life Lovingly!

On Self Awareness

We need to see beyond survival

We need to go beyond adapting

We need to transform our life

Beyond the present perceptions

That we are conditioned by

We need to release the fear and anxiety

And apprehensions that we are living with

We can touch transcendence

Through faith, prayers & meditations

For insights to stabilize and get embodied

In such a stage of conscious presence

As we build our self awareness

We vibrate and tune into new frequencies

We hear and listen more and evolve

In our unique journeys.

Waltz Of Lights

#Brugesatnight

Dancing lights

Shimmering Christmas lights play on water ever so gently creating a moment worth a capture.
Waltz of lights on the water….

The way…

Love is the way

For all of us

As each of us matters

Somehow somewhere

We are all connected

In the infinite plan

And each of us

Needs to become responsible

To make a meaningful difference

For life to thrive than just survive

We need to be respectful

Towards each other

To gain the trust & faith

That makes the world

A better place to live in

For all of us

Love is the way

Align In Authenticity

Align yourself

Every once in a while

In conscious awareness

With your breath

Inhale aspirations

Exhale inspirations

Share with all of you.

Give without resentment.

Let go the spurious

Let life unfold

Tread gently

In loving kindness

Align In Authenticity

When you arrive at being comfortable being yourself with yourself & in front of others, your gifts will shine through and you will begin make a positive impact on this world.

All it takes is…

Being true to who you are:))

The Pendulum Mind

The Pendulum Mind

Are you swinging  back and forth
Into thoughts of past happenings
And of the future, yet to happen
Are you continuously sifting.

In a state of imbalance
Switching  between thoughts
Do you feel out of focus
With your reality in this now.

Then perhaps  you need to rethink
And realign yourself
To be present in this moment
And not lose the now.

Yes the mind shifts without notice
For it is designed to do so
In survival mode to comb and seek
As it searches for possibilities missed.

It creates associations to bridge over the brink
Time to adjust the swinging  pendulum of mind,
To calibrate it to move with time
Than against or before time.

For it needs to be aligned
To tune into the current track at play
To be there in mindfulness
Of this very moment at hand.

One Tree

I came across this photo

And I think to myself

How insignificantly we think

Of nature, of every life form

Just because of plenitude

But the very same attitude

Changes completely in scarcity

A reality byte indeed

Gratitude to Nature

And its myriad manifestation

Let’s acknowledge the power of one

One Tree 🌳

One life to touch another

In a multitude of ways…

And create a positive difference

Words of wisdom

The teacher who is indeed wise does not bid you to enter the house of his wisdom but rather leads you to the threshold of your mind.

The astronomer may speak to you of his understanding of space, but he cannot give you his understanding.

The musician may sing to you of the rhythm which is in all space, but he cannot give you the ear which arrests the rhythm nor the voice that echoes it.

And he who is versed in the science of numbers can tell of the regions of weight and measure, but he cannot conduct you thither.

For the vision of one man lends not its wings to another man. And even as each one of you stands alone in God’s knowledge, so must each one of you be alone in his knowledge of God and in his understanding of the earth.

Kahlil Gibran…

One of my favorite writers with profound words of wisdom.

I had been introduced to his books as a teenager but have revisited his works especially ‘ The Prophet ‘ many times just to soak in the learnings.

Learning is best done in willingness & curiosity to explore the beyond.

Teaching is best done in understanding the learnings and the learner.

Learning never stops it is like a river that flows…

The teacher creates curiosity for learning takes you to the river banks of knowledge and then allows you to quench your thirst, assimilate the learning to expand your horizons of learning.

A Dance Of Thoughts

Imagine space not as something that distances us
But as a liquid connection
That allows resonances
That dances on its own frequencies
Of connections that speaks  for itself
Expressing  emotions
Living life
In the infinite abundance
Of Interconnects in resonance
To this quantum coherence.

On Constant Anger

Constant anger
Is but a telltale sign
Of never feeling good enough
About things and the self or others.
It is a way of shielding wounds
That simply have yet to heal.
Anger patterns itself
Quickly into unhealthy ways
Of abusing the self & others
Rooted in fear
In feelings of lack
Of love and worth.

A deeply seated emotion
Of feeling love is only conditional
Striving for a need…
A need for perfection
A need for invulnerability
A need to be right all the time
A need to never be wrong
Such a state of mind is exhausting
Families and friends
Pay the price of such a behaviour
Wounding the self and others.

Yes Anger too is a part of you
It comes from you
It is expressing
Itself seeking help
As it feels quite helpless
Though you may support not the anger
But suppress it never!
But try to hear the inner voice
Its saying something perhaps
About fear, hurt, loss & lack of love.

Numbing it down
With food and drinks
Is never the answer
Healing is a journey
In understanding
With empathy
Unearth the roots
By Self supportable
Sustainable ways
To recover from the pain
Once for all.

Reclaim the joy in your life’s journey
U owe it to yourself
For this is your one life
Choose to live it well!

A Compilation in Collaboration

Today’s post is a compilation in collaboration, My reader and good friend for many years now Ashok Subbarao and I share our views in a collaborative way. He suggested if we could do a post together. And sent me his article. And I added my contemplations. So his prose and my poetry interweave in these words ahead.

Living on the Edge

Are we the cause of all the suffering
We are not only the cause
We are the reason
For the ‘State of Earth’ today.

We have breached all laws of nature
We have plundered and massacred
Not only our own
But innocent voiceless sentient beings.

Our crimes are heinous
Our ways unethical
Morality or humanity
It is completely missing.

The Plundering Humans

The continuous growth of consumerism and the insatiable hunger for more and more utilities and luxuries to fulfill the simple necessities of life have made countries plunder nature’s precious resources. So much so that humans have grown so selfish to uproot green cover of forests and waste life-giving water that nature started showing signs of decay in the form of various natural calamities. This was not an act of revenge but as an intrinsic part, nature to balance and sustain itself.
Yes, life can be lived with simple food, basic needs, and uncluttered living as the rest was provided by nature itself and that too, totally free.
However, man’s greed knows no bounds. With focussed developments in the era of industrialization and in the present age, the technological advancements to boot, man’s demands kept increasing, and these
are what a human being thinks are his basic needs.

Across the world today.
Our acts are turning violent
Our actions correlate
To the price, we all must pay!

We speak without kindness
We act without empathy
We are ruthless and hopeless.
Without integrity and trust.

Tilting natures precious balance
By our callous and self-serving ways.
Our earth has taken a toll
Bearing patiently in witness mode.

The rising temperatures across the world is a result of felling forests for newer colonies, roads, factories, offices, multiplex and what have you; thereby increasing the need for air conditioners which provide relief inside a house, but the amount of energy and power that is sucked out and throwing of heat in the atmosphere is creating more heat.
I would not be surprised when the day is not far when there would be so much heat that the AC compressors too would burst. What will we do then? But humans are so naive and adamant without care.

Man has broken every law of nature
Now nature needs to self-repair
Humankind must change their ways
Seek ways to maintain and sustain the earth.

Centuries of abuse and neglect
Nature has no time to be silent
It’s truly now or never.
Nature must begin to equalize.

Just being human is not enough
We must practice our humanity
Else the wrath of nature
Can no longer be contained

Our ways had got out of hand
Life was getting unbearable
And so beyond control
And way beyond hope.

The only solution is for countries worldwide to totally ban the destruction of forests in the name of development, introduce more public transport so that people stop buying more and more cars which emit gases in the air and encourage people to plant more trees and reverse materialism. This could be a small beginning in restoring balance, for nature will remedy itself.

Today the earth is revolting in its own sweet way and proving to humankind that if they do not amend their ways to sustain, the planet will render us humans as not just powerless, and perhaps the entire existence of humans can be erased. Nature along with is splendor accompanied by other sentient beings will reclaim their space. It is a simple way of nature saying “Hello Mankind I am alive too!.”

In the madness of being modern
The malady of our times
Values and ethics were trashed
Respect and regard were binned.

Stress and tension
Anxiety and panicking
Sleeplessness and fatigue
Plaguing the world over.

Materialism and indulgence
Hitting an all-time high
In greed apathy and indifference.
We took our world for granted.

And vis-Ă -vis the present pandemic called Covid-19, I cannot but remember the three monkeys as depicted in the picture. See No Evil, Hear No Evil and Speak No Evil a message given by Mahatma Gandhi the apostle of peace.

And it is so ironic that today, we have to cover all the three with a mask. Can we shed the artificial mask that we have been wearing for so long and promise mother earth to behave more sensibly and wisely? Probably we might be pardoned and some semblance of sanity may return to our lives.

Now nature has put humans in cages
Animals and birds roam free
Roads are empty, rivers are cleaner
Pollution has given way to purer air.

While mankind is locked down
Nature is restoring to sustain herself
Truth is its the only way left to survive!
There is perhaps no other way!

You Matter.

Are you too empathetic for your own good?
Are you putting yourself in others shoes so much that you disregard yourself?

Are you neglecting your own self for others’ needs?
Are you having shoulder stress and general fatigue?

Are you feeling worn out often and yet get dressed and show up?

Are you feeling you are giving more than you have…in words and deeds?

Maybe you are overstretching in the giving.
Remember you need to reach out but only until you are able to keep your own self in balance.
Otherwise, you will soon feel you have nothing left to give.

Are you unable to sleep well?
You toss and turn all through the night.
Are you are so tired that you are constantly down and have chronic pain?
Are you overpressured?
You feel responsible for others’ problems.

Time to check your own state of being.
It is quite possible …
Maybe you are being over accountable.
Maybe you are over accommodating.

Many of us may identify with some of these sensations. I have also born the brunt of being in the state, with my health affected, in spite of being aware, thinking it will self heal in time.

The truth is many us may even know we are in such situations that are exhausting our reserves and yet at times may be unable to take drastic measures to prevent them. Knowing is not enough! It is necessary to take a step to change.

The trick is to understand the circumstances that we are feeling overwhelmed by and choose to target our changes realistically.

To each, the problem presents itself uniquely! For some, it may be relationships and family or careers. For others, it may be a personal affliction or tendency to multitask beyond themselves or even battling over perfectionism.

Whatever the reason the sooner you realize that it is detrimental for your health and understand you need to implement lifestyle changes the better it will be.

Often in our efforts to be the best version of ourselves, we may go into a mode of putting ourselves into more than we can handle. Our mind body and spirit also need rest and recovery from the daily stressors that life doles out to us all.

We can learn from nature

Everything is best in balance.

Savvy

Each of us may have different coping strategies to overcome the challenges but the problem is our purpose of being is so passionately driven and in the determined perseverance of what we choose to accomplish and achieve in our lifetime we often fail to recognize the state of our own lives until it feels too overwhelming.

Until the lack of sleep creates discomfort and disorders eventually leading to inflammations and diseases in the body and mind. We are guilty of undermining ourselves. We need to remember our sole responsibility as adults rest with us and we need to adhere to our health needs. After all, it is the only body we have. The importance of a healthy body and mind cannot be stressed enough.

Things every one of us can easily implement include :

  • Optimize food: Check your health and improve your food habits
  • Avoid self-victimization: Choose to not feel overtly responsible for all.
  • Plan your day: Prioritize tasks Schedule a personal time as often as you feel necessary. And value it.
  • Avoid procrastination: Recognize your symptoms and take action.
  • Sleep well. Remember you matter and health comes first. Only if you are healthy can you do anything else?
  • Do what you love and you will love what you do.
  • Most of all choose to Live life lovingly!

Body likes it best when you…dance !

Dance, it feels wonderful when you do.
Dance for your life to feel at ease.
Dance when you feel like and dance often!
Dance makes it all worthwhile.

Your body feels light and easy, as you dance.
The trick is to keep flowing
With the moves and continue dancing
As long as you enjoy the feeling…

Dance is not meant to harm the body.
But to heal your body and mind.
Integrating the spirit within you
So keep dancing …whenever you choose
For the body likes it best when you dance!

Adorable Tree

“A tree nowhere offers a straight line or a regular curve, but who doubts that root, trunk, boughs, and leaves embody geometry?”
~George Iles

The above collage of artworks is based out of one of my photographs of this adorable tree I pass by every time, during my walks in Rennes France. I then enhanced my photo digitally and I am sharing the artworks out of my photography of this tree. I am always amazed how this tree would look different during different times of the day. And the changing weather would make it a treat to capture. While I clicked the pictures I couldn’t help notice the play of light on the tree and how its autumn leaves would shine through.

Sometimes there is no logic,

It is just the nature of being.

It may seem like just any other tree but for me this beautiful tree lives in my heart forever.

On Interconnectedness

The strength of the interconnects run deeper than we can fathom.

We are much more interweaved and interdependent than we realise.

And the sooner we realize how much we need to coexist, the better we will be.
