Sharing a lovely piece of poetry
Two women, two different roles
The one who gave birth to me
And the one I gave birth to.
One gave all the love she had
The other got all the love I had
One strived in the life chosen for her
The other – for the life she chose
One made sure I didn’t have tears
The other ensured I face my fears
One hears my voice to know if am well
The other can read my face and tell
One had her eyes moist as she saw me go
The other made my eyes moist as I let her go
My past and my future when shall meet
Will be a picture ever so complete
Two women, two different roles
If only I could be a little like them,
The one who gave birth to me,
And the one I gave birth to.
Two women, two different roles.
Can simply say
Love is the bridge…
Betwixt & Between
Live life lovingly!❤

*JUST DROP*
Once a Crow, holding on to a piece of meat was flying to a place to sit & eat peacefully…
However, a flock of Eagles who were flying nearby started chasing it. The crow became scared & anxious. It started flying higher and higher, yet the much stronger eagles were after the poor crow.
Just then “Garuda” saw the plight and pain in the eyes of the crow. Coming closer to the crow, he asked:
“What’s wrong, dear? You seem to be very “disturbed” and in terrible “stress”?”..
The crow cried “Look at these eagles!! They are after me – to kill me”.
Garuda being the bird of wisdom spoke “Oh my friend!! They are not after you to kill you!! In fact, they are after that piece of meat that you are holding tightly in your beak”. Just drop it and see what happens.
The crow followed the advice of Garuda and dropped the piece of meat, and lo & behold..
All the eagles in a mad rush flew towards the falling meat.
Garuda smiled and said “The Pain is only till you hold on to it” Just Drop” it & release the “Pain”..
The crow just bowed and said “Thank You for your wise advice.. I dropped this piece of meat & now, I can fly even higher without tension..”
*There is a message in this story for all of us :*
1. People carry the huge burden called “Ego,” which creates a false identity about oneself, like – ” I am so & so, I should be loved, I need to be respected, I need to be invited.. etc… ..
_Just Drop_ – this silly “Ego” & assumption about yourself & see what happens..
2. People get irritated instantly by “others actions or words” .. It could be anyone – friend, parents, children, colleagues, spouse etc….. and instantly the sparks of Anger get ignited & one starts fuming ..
_Just Drop…._ this senseless “negative feeling” & see what happens..
3. People compare themselves with others.. in beauty, wealth, life style, marks, talent and appraisals and get disturbed & insecure…
forgetting the fact that We must be grateful with what we have … ..”
_Just Drop_…- these silly comparisons, negative emotions & see what happens..
Some people are attached in a negative way to their jobs, their material possessions, their dear ones..which creates more harm than good..
_Just Drop_..detach yourself.. drop the burden of attachment & see what happens..
Probably, that’s the reason why in temples ash (vibuthi) is given to devotees – To constantly remind us.. we are nothing but dust.
*_We have risen from the Dust & unto Dust we shall return.._*
Stories from India
Constant anger
Is but a telltale sign
Of never feeling good enough
About things and the self or others.
It is a way of shielding wounds
That simply have yet to heal.
Anger patterns itself
Quickly into unhealthy ways
Of abusing the self & others
Rooted in fear
In feelings of lack
Of love and worth.
A deeply seated emotion
Of feeling love is only conditional
Striving for a need…
A need for perfection
A need for invulnerability
A need to be right all the time
A need to never be wrong
Such a state of mind is exhausting
Families and friends
Pay the price of such a behaviour
Wounding the self and others.
Yes Anger too is a part of you
It comes from you
It is expressing
Itself seeking help
As it feels quite helpless
Though you may support not the anger
But suppress it never!
But try to hear the inner voice
Its saying something perhaps
About fear, hurt, loss & lack of love.
Numbing it down
With food and drinks
Is never the answer
Healing is a journey
In understanding
With empathy
Unearth the roots
By Self supportable
Sustainable ways
To recover from the pain
Once for all.
Reclaim the joy in your life’s journey
U owe it to yourself
For this is your one life
Choose to live it well!

Dance is one of the most revealing forms of expression. Body never lies. Movements unmask the truth within. And that is precisely the way it heals you.
Healing Art of Expression.
Self awareness through self-expression articulates the suppressed emotions. It unravels the depths of your being. Dancing can lift you from where you are and transform your heart and mind to seeing beyond the bare visible. It reflects the profound truths within. Dancing awakens the spirit of life.
Movements matter...
Often it is the neglect and disconnect with our body, as we grow that alienates us from ourselves.
Dancing works to stay aligned body mind and spirit. It is one of easiest, practical and effective ways to connect with oneself.
Dancing regularly alleviates stress anxiety disease and depression. Dance integrates and invigorates every cell in the body and consistency is the key to great health and happiness.
Movements matter.
When you dance you sense who you are.

Personally in my life, my way to deal with lifes challenges has been with movements ranging from walking to dancing.
Post a good walk or a dance session most of our so called brewing unrest in the mind and body settles down.
Our body provides us tools through movements for self expression but it needs sustaining and support.
Our body needs acknowledging acceptance, respect recognition recovery and regeneration time as much as stimulation and activity.
Dancing movements presents itself in many forms and every form has an advantage worth exploring.
Do you love to dance?
What kind of dance is your kind of dance?
Do you feel different after dancing?
How so?
Have you experienced mood changes post dancing ?
Are you ready to dance at any given moment?
Do you need to have a particular music or a partner to get up and dance ?
Do share…

Can you waltz on ice?
When winters turn grim and cold
Can you create joy and cheer?
Even in moments of melancholy.
Can you see a silver lining of hope?
In the dark dreary night to help you cope
Can you see beauty in every dusk and dawn?
Letting go of fear & doubts in the twilight hours.
Can you instill trust in another & move in faith?
Inspite of not knowing the way as yet.
Can you believe you can lead the way?
Inspite of being in a maze in the now.
Verily you are stable in balance
And you have taken your stance.
Clearly then you are dancing in this moment.
Clearly you are waltzing on ice.

Evolution is a matter of chiseling
Of discarding the unnecessary.
Chiselling towards perfection
Weeding out the unwanted.
Until there is clarity of purpose.
Chiselling goes on cutting through
The edges of existence
To arrive at the core of the being.
That stays true to its form
The rest fall off unbound
Leaving the essence to come alive
Breathing life into the being.
Such is the act of chiselling
To reach the purpose of the being.
Each of us helps the other
Uncover the truth of our soul.
For life shapes up
As matter takes form
Igniting the spark of energy
To mould the spirit of the being.
And spirit willing we can keep on
Sculpting… the process of evolving
For the better of the world, we belong.
Revealing the meaning of life and living.
Came across this interesting picture on social media and these were my immediate thoughts.

Thinking is open to possibilities
Thought is already channelled
To be fair and square
Thinking is about the now
Emerging in this moment.
Thought is the past
Over and done.
Yet every thought matters
As it may enable new ways of thinking…
And so it goes
Water water everywhere
But not a drop to drink!
We are country overflowing with an abundance of rivers and blessed with the monsoon season.
Yet the picture is grim.
Rivers are tilting the balance, either in floods or in a draught. The changing weather conditions, the seasonal shifts, have created havoc on our agriculture.
Common man’s need for drinking water is not met. Some states fight for rivers to flow into them with acute water shortages, some states have perennial rivers flowing.
And some have dried river beds without a drop of rain.
Our majestic country that stood tall in the wealth of nature from east to west and north to south is sadly shrinking in shame
The culprits are no one but us all.
Land grabbing and construction is happening without care or consideration of the ecosystem.
Today where rivers were there are buildings
With rampant construction without ethical practices.
We may have turned the face of India in digitization and globalization but our natural resources are being drained.
With rising population, it is creating a giant depletion of resources without developing adequate measures to restore and regenerate the ecosystem.
Here is the truth as we stand today.
India is among the 17 countries facing “extremely high” water stress, according to the World Resources Institute’s Aqueduct Atlas. The country, ranked 13th on the list, has more than three times the population (1.4 billion) of the other 16 countries combined. And the crisis isn’t limited to the southern states anymore: Northern India also faces severe groundwater depletion. Earlier, a WWF study showed that Chennai and Kolkata were the world’s most water-vulnerable metros due to mismanagement of river systems and shrinking of wetlands.
What can we as citizens of this glorious generous land do to help?
There are many ways to help conserve water and make a difference.
Here are a few easy checks
Close taps when you are brushing/ shaving.
Fix leaking pipes and taps.
Stop throwing garbage in nature and contaminating water resources.
Check your water usage in bathrooms.
Fix water-saving showers.
Stop wasting water.
Every drop counts!
Being human is about caring for the world. So do remember if we save water today, we are ensuring there is water left for the future.
Let us all make a difference from where ever we are.
Save water.
