One Moment

Sensing Oneness

A moment of stillness
A frame of reference
For centering the being
In the infinite fractals circling

A moment in witness
Sensing the multiverse
All in the sweet silence of being
In the oneness that occurs…

In the infinite possibilities

Of life and living

Take a moment with oneself

To sense the oneness with the self

Being a Witness…

The unabashed beauty of this world is but an illusion.

Marking time in the constancy of change.

Whatever good is in this moment is a gift of now

To wonder in awe and receive in gratitude…

And when reality bites as the seasons change.

It is in us to learn to witness without want but with understanding and patience.

As all is in the turning of time.

The appearance to disappearance of beauty and the the bounties is but an illusion.

What is today beautiful can be barren tomorrow in the resurgence

Making space for new life to emerge for life continues beyond, in the grand plan of things

In hope, trust and belief of a beautiful morrow…

Follow the dictates of nurture.

Covet not what is not yours.

Be grateful and express gratitude for life.

And value the beauty of this now!

So much intricacy in the evolving artistry.

So much wisdom in the moment to imbibe.

So many lessons in nature to nurture.

Seek to live learning and growing.

Striving to be in a witness mode.

Sense and be one with the flow

For you are the flow!

Savvy

Whatever there is in this ever changing world, all that is enveloped by the Lord.

With this understanding renounce and enjoy ( without owning) what is due to u .

Do not covet for the wealth of other. ( Ishavasya Upanishad 1)

So much wisdom in these lines

You are enough for you!

A few words of strength and support

to manage and motivate your self …

I wrote these words as a part of one of my lectures that I was invited to deliver at a MUN conference. But it has always been there with me as my personal affirmation .

Truly you are enough for you!

Tryst with truth…

The Confusion

Making sense of it all

From maya to magic

From dream to reality

From action to inaction

From silence to chaos

From dissolution to a solution.

From closure again to disclosure

Is it all an appearance, a facade

This journey of searching reality

In the self-discovery.

The Contention… on Creativity

What a world we live in

All is in a word called Maya  …

The world is but an illusion…

A make-believe of our senses.

Then in such a make-believe world

All logic all reasoning all science all knowledge

maybe after all at best…

A search to understand the root of creation.

Of the illusion of you and me.

Of nothing and everything.

The connection… in the creativity

As in the unlearning and learning of knowledge through experiences in life and living every individual sparks new pathways of behaviour in association and application. We are enriched in the structuring which we can call as a stillness for comprehension, a pause for reflection a calmness in contemplation so that we are propelled to unique expression in the assimilation.

No two thoughts are exactly alike but there is always a field of energy we radiate and our thoughts carry the vibrational frequency of the energy in the movement. And that is what can be directed distilled denatured decimated dissolved and drawn from for health and healing.

Savvy

Experience or lack of it can be a root cause of variations and alterations of behaviour. But while boundaries may be reminding of a journey having a destination, it is the openness that reflects the never-ending source of creativity and its possibility.

The Continuation…

So as we dance through the apparition of appearances

Of assumptions in the amalgamation.

All that is real may be an illusion

All that we believe to be is perhaps real.

And our tryst with the truth…

Continues…

So much to understand…

In every learning is a realisation of how little we know

In every realisation is a knowing there is so much beyond

In every reach beyond knowing is a little more understanding

Of the dimensions beyond

This universe amidst the multiverse

So much to explore and discover

To understand and know…

Spruce Up Your Work Space : Essential Tips

Art of Management: Managing WorkSpaces

A Few Essential Tips to Spruce Up Your Work Space.

If you are already a part of the growing population of the work from home employees, there is a high amount of organisational skills that you may already possess. Yet in the rut of routine the chances of feeling weary and disillusioned the dip in productivity increases alarmingly.

Are you feeling overwhelmed stressed and frustrated take a moment to stop and look at your space right now what you feel do you think it is cluttered and chaotic or needs a bit of sprucing up?

Do you think that your work life is a little out of control and maybe having a more manageable and productive space to work from can make all the difference to you right now?
Then maybe it is time to simplify your work area and enjoy life working from home.. here are a few tips to start you up!

Take a few pictures of the work area :
When you need perspective it often helps if you can use your camera to take a shot of your workspace to see the amount of clutter for yourself. There may be many unwanted items which are lying unused for a long time unnoticed.

De-clutter to essentials:

Check whether you are using the things laid out on your desk regularly and if not try to remove them away from your desk make sure only the essentials are placed on the desk.
If there is just too many things on your desk set a priority on what stays. Start from your desk space take a look at the clutter and if there are just too many things around to distract you try to use the principle of 1 in 1 out. So for every item that you have chosen to keep on the desk make sure to discard one out.

Get a fresh perspective :
Often it is very difficult to notice and see the clutter in our working spaces by ourselves in the pace of monotony that we are caught in.So how about inviting a few close friends over to your home… and try to take stock of their opinions and acknowledge their perspectives as you see it through their eyes.

Create an ambience that is suitable for your line of work when you start throwing away the unwanted items and minimize. You will feel lighter and your room opens up.

Setting time to de-clutter: You can try to clear your desk area as you finish your work every evening for it takes maybe about 5 to 10 minutes to straighten things up you will end up having a clean desk every morning.

Storage matters:
It is important to find a space for everything in your work area, if you have trouble in keeping things in place you will find a desk all the more cluttered and difficulty in locating things. Use the idea of small storage trays or store away the least used items in closed drawers. You can try to keep your work area clean by using magnets to mount supplies and using coloured labels as well

Extra storage options:
If you find you have too many things on your desk which don’t fit it is time to think of extra storage. In a small room, you can make space under your desk by raising the monitor a level up and making sure to use your space wisely by using by enlarging your workspace vertically and by using every inch of the space you have to your advantage.

Remember the sooner you start getting organised the better you feel at work.
Simplify work area live life well!.

Moderation is the key:

Every once in a while we all need a bit of serious organisation time but it is important to not try to overdo it for it can be a huge detriment to being productive. For sometimes there is the case of delight in disorder for some. So choose your own way to what stays and what goes!

SPREADING LOVE!

For love is power

That completes itself .

Spreading joy and healing

In circles of awareness

That transmute the soul

To recognise the heart of the soul!

When love speaks, it opens doors

For healing light to enter

In the imprisoned walls of hurt and hate

Washing away the anger and resentment.

As memories of bitterness and past pain

Get replaced with the mirth and melody.

For love chimes the bells of awakening

In the spirit of laughter and lightness

In time all that is immaterial and dull

Becomes vivid and bright.

As love shows the path of hope and faith

And life seems worth living after all!

Breaking point of saturation : A new dawn.

From the point of saturation
Emerges a point of co relation
To ponder afresh on a point of connection.
The saturation plays a role
In the game of life and living

In breaking dawn and dusk
The twilight fills the day and night
With a hope and bliss of something new
Just as day breaks from
Evening dusks into a blissful night
The breaking point signifies a new start

The twilight confuses and confounds
The wisest of beings, as it is meant to do
For in that point of no return
There is the chaos of completion.
Only to begin afresh and anew.

In the passage of painful times into pleasurable moments
In the eras of darkness to deliverance
In the moments of night to day!
Lights seeps in and saturation sublimes
The dark clouds shifting perspectives.
Birthing a new breaking point
Of a brand new dawn!

Who would it be?

A blast from the past!

To invite someone from the past would be…

To re-live the glory of beautiful memories back in time.

To refresh ties of friendships and renew the long forgotten bonds.

To address age old issues and try sorting them out!

It’s now or never!

To ask someone from this present to chat is to find the fultility of going back to the past!

To know the value of this now this moment time.

To trust and believe in the present enough to give your undivided attention.

Chat with the past or present

The choice rests with you!

Dances of India: Roots in Culture

In a land of diversities in all spheres from culture to climate, from religion to celebrations.
Every region expresses its culture distinctly according to the ethos of the people of that particular region. And as dances are a coherent expression of human nature thoughts and feelings, each form of dance that originates, encapsulates it distinctly.
Indian dances can be broadly divided into Classical Dance Forms Semi Classical and the Folk forms.
The most well known Classical Dance styles of India are the Kathak, Odissi & Manipuri of Northern and Eastern parts of India. And
Bharatanatyam Kuchipudi and Mohiniattam Kathakali from Southern parts of India.
Classical Dance and Arts is given a revered status as according to the legends, the Gods invented the dance. It incorporates music melody beats drama form and line along with gestures through hand fingers and eye movements.
The elaborate costumes and heavy makeup somehow helps convey many depictions of the overall performances.
There are a number of Folk dance forms that are performed as well.
Traditionally all these forms have been structured around the nine emotions or rasas namely:
  • Hasya: happiness
  • Shoka: sorrow
  • Krodha: anger
  • Karuna: compassion
  • Bhibatsa: disgust
  • Adbuta: wonder
  • Bhaya: fear
  • Viram: courage
  • And Shanta: serenity.
The earliest Indian religious texts have described creation in terms of a dance. And the dances of India are said to have their origins in the Vedic Age of 1000BC
Even today the practice of the Indian dances have an element of religious rituals although much may have changed with time.
Musings on Dancing

A dance is an expression of who we are, our mindset our bodies our culture all intermingled inextricably. It is a statement of our roots and our connection to others.

We can express ourselves by learning and staying rooted in the structure or choose to vary and fuse and develop our understanding by adding to the repertoire other dance forms and evolve in the sharing. The choice is ours to choose. We don’t need to discard old learning as we learn something new but align ourselves to understand the larger picture. This way we experience diversity for ourselves as we learn to see the significance of every form its contribution its essence and relevance of its roots in culture through the movements and expression. Learning dance from different lands helps us understand and evolve. We can learn to respect others traditions and cultures while valuing our own.

On Wisdom of Moderation

Sharing an inspiring story on knowledge versus wisdom.

In two independent houses, separated by a compound two people were living, in one a retired person and in the other a techie.
They had planted identical saplings on either sides of the compound.

The techie used to give lot of water and manure to the plants. The retired, just small quantity of water and little manure.

The techies plant grew into lush green, leafy robust plant.

The retired person’s plant was a near normal but much luxuriant than his neighbor’s.

One night there was a heavy rain with gusty wind.
Next morning both came out to see the fate of the plants.

To techie’s surprise his plant had got uprooted where as his neighbor’s was unharmed.

Techie asks the retired as why his plant was uprooted despite such a good care where as the neighbor had hardly cared.

The retired person’s answer should be a lesson for all of us.

Look young man, you had supplied every thing a plant would need,in abundance and the plant did not have to go in search of it.Your roots did not have go down. I was supplying just enough to keep it alive. For the rest roots had to go down into the ground to fulfil it’s needs.

Since your roots were superficial the rain and wind could easily fell it.

Since my roots were pretty deeply grounded they could withstand the onslaught of the nature.

The same applies to your children too.
