Dance is one of the most revealing forms of expression. Body never lies. Movements unmask the truth within. And that is precisely the way it heals you.
Healing Art of Expression.
Self awareness through self-expression articulates the suppressed emotions. It unravels the depths of your being. Dancing can lift you from where you are and transform your heart and mind to seeing beyond the bare visible. It reflects the profound truths within. Dancing awakens the spirit of life.
Movements matter...
Often it is the neglect and disconnect with our body, as we grow that alienates us from ourselves.
Dancing works to stay aligned body mind and spirit. It is one of easiest, practical and effective ways to connect with oneself.
Dancing regularly alleviates stress anxiety disease and depression. Dance integrates and invigorates every cell in the body and consistency is the key to great health and happiness.
Movements matter.
When you dance you sense who you are.

Personally in my life, my way to deal with lifes challenges has been with movements ranging from walking to dancing.
Post a good walk or a dance session most of our so called brewing unrest in the mind and body settles down.
Our body provides us tools through movements for self expression but it needs sustaining and support.
Our body needs acknowledging acceptance, respect recognition recovery and regeneration time as much as stimulation and activity.
Dancing movements presents itself in many forms and every form has an advantage worth exploring.
Do you love to dance?
What kind of dance is your kind of dance?
Do you feel different after dancing?
How so?
Have you experienced mood changes post dancing ?
Are you ready to dance at any given moment?
Do you need to have a particular music or a partner to get up and dance ?

Setting up protocols is a tedious process
But once set, it makes things much easier.
When a team shares the same language they communicate effectively so protocols aid in communication. When rules procedures are set as the protocol to follow, workflow improves without hitches With protocols laid down like a step-by-step process every employee can have clarity on ways to address conflicts if any, and how to seek resolution.
Why is there a need and necessity of creating rules systems and follow protocols?
In the workplace, it can be a guideline for proper behavior at work and also can help prevent conflicts or protect from harassment.
With changing times and situations as they are, whether it’s a ‘Work from home or office’, netiquettes and manners can make a huge difference in the way businesses are run.
Every small exchange of interaction can make or mar the communication levels.
Setting up protocols and training modules can increase productivity and improve professionalism in conducting business.
Communication for Implementation
For protocols to be successfully implemented It has to be relevant and easy to understand. Often the rules can seem too confusing so communication is very crucial in getting protocols in place in any organization understood. And even more so in this changing world.
Standards and protocols when defined properly, can certainly help increase productivity at work. And as expectations are set and there is clarity for what methods are for the deliverables and the timeframes, there is greater ownership, attention and accountability in the organization to follow the procedures.
As a Consultant I have enabled teams across departments setup their systems in place as well as improvising on the set procedures , while making the required changes such that the process can work efficiently. Ensuring the protocols are followed is just as challenging as setting it up. However, it becomes easier when they are followed as a practice with checks and balances in all teams without too many exceptions to the rule, to support new employees to ease in to the system.
How important have Protocols been for your organization’s efficiency?
Have your teams been following through the set norms and have they been effective?
Today I am happy to be sharing a motivational message in the words of my dear mother.
When we walk along the path of roses, thorns are unavoidable.
It doesn’t mean we stop walking. Remove the thorns from our way and proceed further
It may hurt. But It won’t last. Let’s keep going .
Life is like a seesaw
It keeps going up and down.
The fall and climb are parts of life.
Fret not if our efforts don’t yield results
The seed needs its own time
To grow into a tree
The buds to blossom as fragrant flowers,
The fruits and grains to ripen & nourish
Yet till then they need all the care and nurture.
So do our dreams, take its own time and
our continuous effort to become reality.
Waves fall to rise again
Leaves fall to bring
spring again
Day falls to bring a new dawn again.
Are we not a part of Nature?
Our dreams are the seed.
Our patience is the time
Our hard work is the nurture
Our Faith n Hope are the nourishment.
When words propose in a flow
That is persuading and all pervading
No matter the rhyme or form
It becomes poetry
Creating a zen like feeling
That makes you want to be
In that state of awareness
Inspite of knowing
Everything moves on…
Have you ever been enticed by the eloquence of words?
Personally I have many favorites
But these profound words by Gibran deeply impacted me… Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself.
Infact all the lines that follow are equally poignant as well as profound.
So much wisdom in those words for life and living.
Which is your favorite piece of poetry?
Do your remember those verses vividly ?
Good writings have the power to change your mood, from gloomy to happy, inspire, and motivate. Without readers, the writings however good, are like the beautiful moon shining over a desert. Though the writers, may write for self-expression, the appreciation of a reader motivates them to create more. They both are complimenting each other. If good writing makes even one reader happy the writing has found its purpose.

These are a few words from my mother’s reflections on Writing and Reading which I found deeply inspiring. I take this opportunity to offer my sincere appreciation and gratitude to all my readers for after all there is no writer without a reader.
Every life births its path
Life teaches to evolve itself
Life trains and tests us along the way
The path of life is our platform.
The power of choice
Rests with us
To practice, the lessons learned
In this platform of life.
Power of Practice
Our thoughts words deeds
Can become mindful in time
All it needs is practice.
And more practice.
If you wish to think good: Practice If you wish to do good: Practice If you wish to speak well: Practice If you wish to cultivate good: Practice
Our life is simple or complex
As we care to think of it
For no matter, the state of life
We can care to see beyond ourselves
There is a world that survives
On the fringes of existence
The stark truths deliver us
A reality bite of how privileged we are.
Wherever we are in this world
If we are alive and well
If we have a roof on our head
And sustenance to be nourished
We should consider ourselves blessed
And choose to care from our heart
As life can be lonely & feel a little lost.
There is much going on around
That we cannot solve
But often enough
There is much one can do…
All it takes is a few words
To make another’s day
Giving and sharing goodwill
A kind word, a genuine smile
In hope and trust.
To leave the world in a better place.
The truth of life is that it challenges
Every minute of our now
In one way or the other
But then instead of seeking more
What if we began living with gratitude
Learning to enjoy this now as it is
Living beyond simply existing.
Then perhaps we can truly say
We are alive to the life in us.
Experiencing life in all dimensions.
Yesterday was my mother’s birthday. And I came across this reflection of hers by chance and started reading it, Although she is living far away in another city, I deeply connected with her in every moment as I was reading this. Wishing her a beautiful blessed day!
Finding peace
Happiness is an abstract state which gives us high,
makes us feel positive about everything,
makes us forgive peoples faults, brings a smile in our face n laughter in our mind,
gives us strength,
brings love to our heart,
makes our surroundings beautiful, makes life worth living,
radiates our being irrespective of the outside effects.
Happiness is the real state we are born with. That is our real form, shrouded by the clouds of acquired and induced qualities as we walk along this long path of life. In due course, it gets overshadowed by outside influences that we forget how to be really happy. We start seeking happiness from outside sources forgetting our own storehouse inside us.
Thus starts our dependence. Whether material, emotional, physical, or spiritual, for everything we start seeking help from other people or substances which gradually grow from need-based to the necessity which we cannot live without. In the long run, the very source we think gives us happiness adds nothing but misery. The more u seek outside the more ur inner light dims.
How to come out of this self-induced predicament. Really very hard as the acquired dirt must have become layers of solid sediments. A little Viveka n Vairagya are the tools God has provided us with, to unearth the hidden treasure, of Happiness Within.
Viveka means right understanding, discriminating knowledge n true wisdom.
Vairagya means detachment, dispassion, maintaining a state of mental equilibrium.
Developing both these qualities help us to be in a peaceful happy state irrespective of outer influences knowing their transient nature. The more we delve in these, the nearer we go to our inner self which is the abode of ultimate BLISS.
The ever-changing face of the sky
The dancing flames of the fire,
The soothing flow of the air,
The flowing waves of the water,
The surface of Mother Earth
All just set to put in our mind the transience of Nature.
The rising and setting of the Sun,
The waning and waxing of the
Moon,
The revolution and rotation of the earth,
The cycle of the changing seasons
Just to remind us nothing is forever to stay.
The karmic cycle of birth and death,
The changing phases of lives,
The changing moods of the mind,
The swaying patterns of wealth
Aren’t enough to teach the human mind equanimity and humility?
How many more lessons does one need?
Anjana.
This piece ‘ Finding Peace’ resonates deeply. Especially so in these chaotic times.
I am saddened when I come across the mention of race by color. I am saddened that still people are called black or white or brown or yellow.
We are called out for the shades of our skin, when the truth is, we are so much more. We cannot be confined or defined by narrow eyes.
The fact is, people, see colors differently, and they may not see all the same colors while seeing the same things. There is research on how our individual brains react differently to different wavelengths of light.
Technically speaking the colors we see is an illusion created by our brain. We are not yet certain exactly how animals see perceive us and in which colors.
Why then this prejudice in words to describe life. Humanity knows no color or creed.
Why are we still resorting to identify people into boxes, giving way to mental pictures, and conformity? We are capable of liberating ourselves to see the bigger picture.
A dance article recently published an article that sends out a message of how Misty Copeland is a black dancer who succeeds.
Yes, we have an unequal world filled with all the ‘isms’ and the issues they bring along. It is unfair and discriminatory and biased in so many ways. Not just in race, but in species, gender, age, weight, height, class, creed, caste, religion, status, authority, education, power, and wealth.
Yet the inner light of the being surmountable all odds. And life shines through the heart of the movements.
The world must come together, as it is time to release these frames of false convictions and find in itself the ability and strength to support one another in the power of life that’s beating within us all.
Let us see beauty and talent in all colors and not attribute efforts and success to any color by birth.
When we remove reference of being a particular color we bring to light the truth of the soul and the spirit of freedom to be.
In that light, everything is illustrated in the illumination from within.
