Whenever there is a connected effort , the result is a sharing with a new level of understanding.
Where the ‘I ‘and’ Me’ merges to the’ We and the Us.
This is what makes it all inclusive and expansive at the same time.
Connectedness is a great pathway in opening up hearts !

Self compassion is about treating yourself with kindness.
Put your thoughts in perspective.
Failure is an opportunity to learn and grow. Allow yourself to acknowledge defeat but not get caught up in it
Learn to cope and grow beyond the setbacks.
And try to be an encourager to yourself & be a friend!

Your peace is beyond price;
It is too valuable to lose.
Your state of being
Is interwoven with how you feel.
Your body mind and spirit needs balance,
A balance that tilts without inner peace.
To be your best, choose peace.
If anything costs you your peace,
Think well!

Sharing a poignant message that came my way…
Subject: Christmas Poem
T’WAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS,
HE LIVED ALL ALONE,
IN A ONE BEDROOM HOUSE,
MADE OF PLASTER AND STONE.
…
I HAD COME DOWN THE CHIMNEY,
WITH PRESENTS TO GIVE,
AND TO SEE JUST WHO,
IN THIS HOME, DID LIVE.
I LOOKED ALL ABOUT,
A STRANGE SIGHT I DID SEE,
NO TINSEL, NO PRESENTS,
NOT EVEN A TREE.
NO STOCKING BY MANTLE,
JUST BOOTS FILLED WITH SAND,
ON THE WALL HUNG PICTURES,
OF FAR DISTANT LANDS.
WITH MEDALS AND BADGES,
AWARDS OF ALL KINDS,
A SOBER THOUGHT,
CAME THROUGH MY MIND.
FOR THIS HOUSE WAS DIFFERENT,
IT WAS DARK AND DREARY,
I FOUND THE HOME OF A SOLDIER,
ONCE I COULD SEE CLEARLY.
THE SOLDIER LAY SLEEPING,
SILENT, ALONE,
CURLED UP ON THE FLOOR,
IN THIS ONE BEDROOM HOME.
THE FACE WAS SO GENTLE,
THE ROOM IN DISORDER,
NOT HOW I PICTURED,
A TRUE AUSSIE SOLDIER.
WAS THIS THE HERO,
OF WHOM I’D JUST READ?
CURLED UP ON A PONCHO,
THE FLOOR FOR A BED?
I REALISED THE FAMILIES,
THAT I SAW THIS NIGHT,
OWED THEIR LIVES TO THESE SOLDIERS,
WHO WERE WILLING TO FIGHT.
SOON ROUND THE WORLD,
THE CHILDREN WOULD PLAY,
AND GROWNUPS WOULD CELEBRATE,
A BRIGHT CHRISTMAS DAY.
THEY ALL ENJOYED FREEDOM,
EACH MONTH OF THE YEAR,
BECAUSE OF THE SOLDIERS,
LIKE THE ONE LYING HERE.
I COULDN’T HELP WONDER,
HOW MANY LAY ALONE,
ON A COLD CHRISTMAS EVE,
IN A LAND FAR FROM HOME.
THE VERY THOUGHT BROUGHT,
A TEAR TO MY EYE,
I DROPPED TO MY KNEES,
AND STARTED TO CRY.
THE SOLDIER AWAKENED,
AND I HEARD A ROUGH VOICE,
“SANTA DON’T CRY,
THIS LIFE IS MY CHOICE;
I FIGHT FOR FREEDOM,
I DON’T ASK FOR MORE,
MY LIFE IS MY GOD,
MY COUNTRY, MY CORPS..”
THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER,
AND DRIFTED TO SLEEP,
I COULDN’T CONTROL IT,
I CONTINUED TO WEEP.
I KEPT WATCH FOR HOURS,
SO SILENT AND STILL,
AND WE BOTH SHIVERED,
FROM THE COLD NIGHT’S CHILL.
I DID NOT WANT TO LEAVE,
ON THAT COLD, DARK, NIGHT,
THIS GUARDIAN OF HONOR,
SO WILLING TO FIGHT.
THEN THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER,
WITH A VOICE SOFT AND PURE,
WHISPERED, “CARRY ON SANTA,
IT’S CHRISTMAS DAY, ALL IS SECURE.”
ONE LOOK AT MY WATCH,
AND I KNEW HE WAS RIGHT.
“MERRY CHRISTMAS MY FRIEND,
AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT.”
This poem was written by a Peacekeeping soldier stationed overseas. The
following is his request. I think it is reasonable
“PLEASE. Would you do me the kind favour of sending this to as many people as
you can? Christmas will be coming soon and some credit is due to all of the
service men and women for our being able to celebrate these festivities. Let’s
try in this small way to pay a tiny bit of what we owe. Make people stop and
think of our heroes, living and dead, who sacrificed themselves for us.
Please, do your small part to plant this small seed.”
An interesting read today definitely worth a share!

Please take time to read the following article:
THE BRAIN OF AN ELDERLY PERSON.
The director of the George Washington University College of Medicine argues that the brain of an elderly person is much more plastic than is commonly believed. At this age, the interaction of the right and left hemispheres of the brain becomes harmonious, which expands our creative possibilities. That is why among people over 60 you can find many personalities who have just started their creative activities.
Of course, the brain is no longer as fast as it was in youth. However, it wins in flexibility. That is why, with age, we are more likely to make the right decisions and are less exposed to negative emotions. The peak of human intellectual activity occurs at about 70 years old, when the brain begins to work at full strength.
Over time, the amount of myelin in the brain increases, a substance that facilitates the rapid passage of signals between neurons. Due to this, intellectual abilities are increased by 300% compared to the average.
And the peak of active production of this substance falls on 60-80 years of age. Also interesting is the fact that after 60 years, a person can use 2 hemispheres at the same time. This allows you to solve much more complex problems.

Professor Monchi Uri from the University of Montreal believes that the brain of an elderly person chooses the least energy-intensive path, cutting unnecessary and leaving only the right options for solving the problem. A study was conducted in which different age groups took part. Young people were confused a lot when passing the tests, while those over 60 made the right decisions.
Now let’s look at the features of the brain at the age of 60-80. They are really rosy.
FEATURES OF THE BRAIN OF AN ELDERLY PERSON.
👀 Information!
A large study in the United States found that:
▪The most productive age of a person is from 60 to 70 years;
▪ The 2nd most productive human stage is the age from 70 to 80 years old;
▪ 3rd most productive stage – 50 and 60 years old.
▪ Before that, the person has not yet reached his peak.
▪The average age of the Nobel Prize laureates is 62;
▪The average age of the presidents of the 100 largest companies in the world is 63 years;
▪The average age of pastors in the 100 largest churches in the United States is 71;
▪The average age of dads is 76 years.
▪ This confirms that a person’s best and most productive years are between 60 and 80 years of age.
▪This study was published by a team of doctors and psychologists in the NEW ENGLAND JOURNAL OF MEDICINE.
▪They found that at 60 you reach the peak of your emotional and mental potential, and this continues until you are 80.
▪ Therefore, if you are 60, 70 or 80 years old, you are at the best level of your life.
Pass on this information to your family and friends aged 60, 70 and 80 so that they will be proud of their age.

Life at times can be both wondrous and mundane but contains joy,
And the attitude we choose to wear,
Decides if we wish to find the joy in the things we do.

And we become what we choose to be and see!
Have a wonderful day!

Cherish the gift of movement…
Isn’t it wonderful to be able to dance…. to tell your body what you want it to do?
If you are a dancer respect the gift of dance in you .
Even if you are not a trained dancer, acknowledge the ability of expressions and respect the beauty of movements in them .
After all we have a beating heart ….We are all gifted with movements . Let’s cherish the gifts of both the movements and moments in time.
