Flow…

Sharing one from my series of Circular Artworks painting today and a very powerful poem by Rumi.

I feel somehow it connects with this poem…

Flow : Textured Artwork by Savvy Raj

“There is a community of the spirit.
Join it, and feel the delight
of walking in the noisy street
and being the noise.

Drink all your passion and be a disgrace.
Close both eyes to see with the other eye.
Open your hands if you want to be held.

Consider what you have been doing.
Why do you stay
with such a mean-spirited and dangerous partner?

For the security of having food. Admit it.
Here is a better arrangement.
Give up this life, and get a hundred new lives.

Sit down in this circle.

Quit acting like a wolf,
and feel the shepherd’s love filling you.

At night, your beloved wanders.
Do not take painkillers.

Tonight, no consolations.
And do not eat.

Close your mouth against food.
Taste the lover’s mouth in yours.

You moan, But she left me. He left me.
Twenty more will come.

Be empty of worrying.
Think of who created thought.

Why do you stay in prison
when the door is so wide open?

Move outside the tangle of fear-thinking.
Live in silence.

Flow down and down
in always widening rings of being.”

Thrive

Life can never thrive in suppression

Or in denial and disapproval.

Or control and criticism

Choose to appreciate and approve.

Let go of the nagging and niggles.

Let go of judgements, fear and worry

Life is in each of us just the same.

Nurture life to live.

Engage with it lovingly

Life can be beautiful!

Live and let live.

What has life taught me today?

Life is a mystical journey.

Every now is as fresh as never before

And yet deeply rooted in yesterday.

In fact, every now is embedded

With the bygone and the future.

What I learn in this now

Is interweaved in eternity.

In these waves of understanding

Is life’s evolving ways for the being.

In letting go of the unnecessary

Is the space and freedom to be

All that one can be.

Every lesson that comes by,

Makes an imprint that matters

Somewhere, somehow.

A Matter Of Thought

They say it’s what you do that matters

But it’s the thought that counts

Can we choose one thought over other

Yes we can in mindfulness

Being aware is the first step

The choice rests with you

For you are your thoughts

As much as your deeds .

Life & Living

Whenever I come across a heart touching action, or a prose ,a poem or quote I will be sharing it here in this series…

Some people make the world a better place by their thoughts words and deeds...

Sharing a touching story of truths of life and living…

THE HAPPIEST MAN

When Billionaire Femi Otedola in a telephone interview, was asked by the radio presenter, “Sir what can you remember made you the happiest man in life?”

Femi said: “I have gone through four stages of happiness in life and finally I understood the meaning of true happiness.”

The first stage was to accumulate wealth and means. But at this stage I did not get the happiness I wanted.

Then came the second stage of collecting valuables and items. But I realized that the effect of this thing is also temporary and the lustre of valuable things does not last long.

Then came the third stage of getting big projects. That was when I was holding 95% of diesel supply in Nigeria and Africa. I was also the largest vessel owner in Africa and Asia. But even here I did not get the happiness I had imagined.

The fourth stage was the time a friend of mine asked me to buy wheelchair for some disabled children. Just about 200 kids.

At the friend’s request, I immediately bought the wheelchairs. But the friend insisted that I go with him and hand over the wheelchairs to the children. I got ready and went with him.

There I gave these wheel chairs to these children with my own hands. I saw the strange glow of happiness on the faces of these children. I saw them all sitting on the wheelchairs, moving around and having fun.

It was as if they had arrived at a picnic spot where they are sharing a jackpot wining.

I felt real joy inside me. When I decided to leave one of the kids grabbed my legs. I tried to free my legs gently but the child stared at my face and held my legs tightly. I bent down and asked the child: Do you need something else?

The answer this child gave me not only made me happy but also changed my attitude to life completely. This child said: “I want to remember your face so that when I meet you in heaven, I will be able to recognize you and thank you once again”.

What would you be remembered for after you leave that office or place?

Will anyone desire to see your face again where it all matters?

Think! Live your life in a manner that others desire to see your face again.

Beyond the sum of our senses

Beyond the sum of our senses

Exists a field of potential,

Embodying possibilities.

Beyond fear and doubts

Exists a space for courage,

Emitting energy in hope and faith.

Myriad thoughts may fill our minds;

All is an illusion in the imagination.

If we wish to see it so,

There is always more

Beyond the dark; envisage the light

Unlearn the lessons taught,

Invoke the curiosity of your inner child,

Step back and see the bigger picture.

Rays of light will find their way!

The Journey of Creativity

Photo by Rakicevic Nenad on Pexels.com

If Creativity were to be all yang

Flowing along in infinite abundance

The mystic of this mistress is magnetic

Almost hovering on the hypnotic

And yet…

Creativity is a dance of balance

Of the yin and yang

Omnipresent in the flow.

In the unforgiving toughness

Is the challenge to continue

In her demands to deliver

Is the discipline of approach

In the chiding of the critiques

Is the attempt to evolve

Beyond the punishing schedules.

And in that trusting knowing

Actors act, sculptors sculpt

Writers write, painters paint

Singers sing, dancers dance

Finding purpose in the passion

In the artistry of creativity.

And as art empowers in the connectivity

Life carries on…!

Irony of Balance

On Balance & Imbalances

Balance..

Enables evenness

In distribution

Ensures equality in varied elements

Or even propelling proportionality.

Empowers a sense of steadiness.

Without lose of control

Balance is grace in movement

Balance is grace in stillness too

Balance is also about being in equipoise

In envisioning or even in the sensing

A state of equanimity in the being.

Where all is well.

Yet the irony of balance

Is the equilibrium is subjective

To the opposition to balance

In a state of unrest and uncertainties

Doubts and fear creep in unexpected

Creating imbalances in its own path

Little knowing the state of balance

Are the very reason for wellbeing.

Feel the peace within

Take a deep breath

To truly be able…

To Breathe in ease

feel the peace deep within.

Take not this breath for granted

Know the gift of grace in every breath.

Inhale and exhale

Sensing Gratitude in every breath

Life in the living

Life is

Inexplicable Uncertainty in the now

Undefinable Strength in the moment

Unimaginable challenges that arise

Infinite possibilities in the potential

Unstoppable hope in the living

Be it in Strength or weakness

Threats to opportunities

Life shapes and moulds in experience

Be it desires, wants or needs

Life is a journey unto itself

Life is a circle in the living.

Time to regenerate

Night is a time of  regeneration
In acknowledgement of a pause
Of the need  for rest and recovery
As the day blesses us with a night
Own the time to sense the rejuvenation
Slip into bliss of sleep,
In the oblivion of darkness
That slowly descends  on us all
Just be , knowing  the night gives in to dawn
In a few hours more…
Be wise to unwind  and unshackle.
Touch base with your soulspace
Refresh your entire being
To look forward and greet dawn again  in hope
