In the play of opposites Life continues to churn out The magic that is within us all As we bring out the best of ourselves We inspire another for some more One thing leads to another they say Such is the circle of life and living.
I bet everyone will love to read this….. Every day early morning a little girl would come to the temple and stand before the idol, close her eyes and with folded hands, murmur something for a couple of minutes, then open her eyes, bow down, smile and go out running. This was a daily affair. The temple Poojari was observing her and was curious about what she was doing. He realised that she was too small to know the deeper meaning of religion & that she would hardly know any prayers. But then what was she doing every morning in the temple? A few days passed and Poojari now couldn’t resist but to find out more about her behaviour. One morning, the Poojari reached there before the girl and was waiting for her to complete her ritual. He placed his hand on her head and said, “My child, I have been seeing you since the last few days. You come here regularly. What do you do?” “I pray,” She said spontaneously. “Do you know any prayers?”asked the Poojari with some suspicion in his voice. “…No” Replied the girl. “Then what are you doing closing your eyes every day?” he smiled. Very innocently the girl said :“I do not know any prayer, but I know “a,b,c,d….up to z.”I ‘recite it five times’ and tell God that,”I don’t know your prayer, but it cannot be outside of these alphabets.” Please arrange the alphabets as you wish and that is my prayer.” And she ran, jumping on her way out. The Poojari stood there dumbstruck, staring at her for a long time as she disappeared running in the wilderness. This is THE UNCONDITIONAL belief in God that we pray.

Covid has come Covid will go Herd immunity Now at play Will leave With markings Of a common flu
And yet the waves Will leave us Imprints of Resilience In the cells of our being Progressively in time But speaking of the future If we are able to see Beyond the nightmare Of the past
There is a shift In the way of life Of the way of living At work & at play The impacted have wisened Earlier than others But there is an awareness No less in the rethinking Of the workplace that works From physical to hybrid.
Exploring possibilities With our virtual connections With precious commute time saved Families have sensed the togetherness Experienced the pros & cons of wfh Yet work has continued Buisness collapsed yet many revived Reinventing the ways of work
A sense of knowing prevails All is not lost For technology has come in aid Of mankind at its hour of need A semblance of normalcy regained But with a redesigned version Of what is the new normal Organization operates Repattererned in the sensing Of what is redundant And what actually works! Hope is here to stay…
Today in this moment Are you ready To partner with peace Do you have the power Of a grateful heart That knows to live light And waltz in harmony with life!
“Realizing the many miracles of life is also in knowing love that can move the soul of our being. We can consider ourselves lucky to even have been touched by a love like that!”
Throwback to last week when I recorded a demo and forgot about it
Shown here is one of the riskiest parts of the process — removing myself from the fragile balance without disturbing it.
In order to balance something like this, I usually need to basically wrap my body around it while sitting and building.. using knees to hug / stabilize the lower section(s) like a scaffold. But once I find zero, I need to remove my body without causing the structure to collapse.. on my body.. it’s when I’m most vulnerable.
But as seen here, I keep my gaze firmly on the structure while maneuvering my body away. It’s like a weird hyper focus where I’m spatially entranced on the relative positions of the rocks, and if any data point deviates from the whole, I have maybe a second to react before it becomes dangerous, especially for my left hand here which is planted on the stump I was sitting on, hoisting my body away.. if that top decides to fall on that hand, bones would likely break… not a situation where I can afford to break focus.
Some self removals are easier than others — it really just depends on a firm hold for my right hand behind me, the sensitivity of the structure itself, and what the wind is doing..
“I want to remember your face so that when I meet you in heaven, I will be able to recognise you and thank you once again.”
When Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola in a telephone interview, was asked by the radio presenter, “Sir what can you remember made you a happiest man in life?”
Femi said: “I have gone through four stages of happiness in life and finally I understood the meaning of true happiness.”
The first stage was to accumulate wealth and means. But at this stage I did not get the happiness I wanted.
Then came the second stage of collecting valuables and items. But I realised that the effect of this thing is also temporary and the lustre of valuable things does not last long.
Then came the third stage of getting big projects. That was when I was holding 95% of diesel supply in Nigeria and Africa. I was also the largest vessel owner in Africa and Asia. But even here I did not get the happiness I had imagined.
The fourth stage was the time a friend of mine asked me to buy wheelchair for some disabled children. Just about 200 kids.
At the friend’s request, I immediately bought the wheelchairs.
But the friend insisted that I go with him and hand over the wheelchairs to the children. I got ready and went with him.
There I gave these wheel chairs to these children with my own hands. I saw the strange glow of happiness on the faces of these children. I saw them all sitting on the wheelchairs, moving around and having fun.
It was as if they had arrived at a picnic spot where they are sharing a jackpot winning.
I felt REAL joy inside me. When I decided to leave one of the kids grabbed my legs. I tried to free my legs gently but the child stared at my face and held my legs tightly.
I bent down and asked the child: Do you need something else?
The answer this child gave me not only made me happy but also changed my attitude to life completely. This child said: “I want to remember your face so that when I meet you in heaven, I will be able to recognise you and thank you once again.”
What would you be remembered for after you leave that office or place?
Will anyone desire to see your face again where it all matters?
How about trying to touch lives and make a positive difference in our own individual ways?.
