When we become conscious of time It moves very slowly. When we are immersed in something time flies. When our thoughts wander on its own Again time moves fast. We never know how long we are lost in our own idle thoughts That time took a backseat. When we are asked to meditate or observe our breath Time never moves, Those 5 minutes never seems to end. When we know all the answers Time flies Whereas when we go blank Time never cease. When waiting for someone we love Time extends While in their presense it flies
5 minutes or 5 hours The duration remains the same. What makes the difference is our mind, the master co ordinator It can bend time at its will Lengthy or short as it wants. Make us it’s slave without our own awareness. We assume what it wants us to think as our own. Be it time , emotions or our understanding. Such is the power of this invisible master.
When we learn the Art of mastering this master Time stands still. Seamless transfer of Now Ever being in the present.
“We human beings are tuned such that we crave great melody and great lyrics. And if somebody writes a great song, it’s timeless that we as humans are going to feel something for that and there’s going to be a real appreciation.” -Art Garunkel
What is great music to you?
Is it the song how it sounds to you ?
Do you pay attention to the lyrics?
Sometimes great lyrics alone don’t make a great song,
And often great song has hardly any depth to its lyrics
So what are your favorite or evergreensongs the ones you listen to always?
Your approach changes everything The way you live The way you work The way you play Choose to look forward to finding the joy In whatever you do If you can find something to better Something to improve from
Something to grow and expand potential Then by all means focus on it Spend time to learn possibilities Making work feel better than before Find the meaning & purpose In whatever you do Work to make a positive difference Tweak your approach tweak your life
Covid has come Covid will go Herd immunity Now at play Will leave With markings Of a common flu
And yet the waves Will leave us Imprints of Resilience In the cells of our being Progressively in time But speaking of the future If we are able to see Beyond the nightmare Of the past
There is a shift In the way of life Of the way of living At work & at play The impacted have wisened Earlier than others But there is an awareness No less in the rethinking Of the workplace that works From physical to hybrid.
Exploring possibilities With our virtual connections With precious commute time saved Families have sensed the togetherness Experienced the pros & cons of wfh Yet work has continued Buisness collapsed yet many revived Reinventing the ways of work
A sense of knowing prevails All is not lost For technology has come in aid Of mankind at its hour of need A semblance of normalcy regained But with a redesigned version Of what is the new normal Organization operates Repattererned in the sensing Of what is redundant And what actually works! Hope is here to stay…
“She sat at the back and they said she was shy, She led from the front and they hated her pride, They asked her advice and then questioned her guidance, They branded her loud, then were shocked by her silence, When she shared no ambition they said it was sad, So she told them her dreams and they said she was mad, They told her they’d listen, then covered their ears, And gave her a hug while they laughed at her fears, And she listened to all of it thinking she should, Be the girl they told her to be best as she could, But one day she asked what was best for herself, Instead of trying to please everyone else, So she walked to the forest and stood with the trees, She heard the wind whisper and dance with the leaves, She spoke to the willow, the elm and the pine, And she told them what she’d been told time after time, She told them she felt she was never enough, She was either too little or far far too much, Too loud or too quiet, too fierce or too weak, Too wise or too foolish, too bold or too meek, Then she found a small clearing surrounded by firs, And she stopped…and she heard what the trees said to her, And she sat there for hours not wanting to leave, For the forest said nothing, it just let her breathe”
Life is precious And so are relationships Remember, gentle is the way When you walk with another There is much you do not know You never know the hidden truths For some wounds are deep and invisible. So walk gently, care sincerely live lovingly

“I want to remember your face so that when I meet you in heaven, I will be able to recognise you and thank you once again.”
When Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola in a telephone interview, was asked by the radio presenter, “Sir what can you remember made you a happiest man in life?”
Femi said: “I have gone through four stages of happiness in life and finally I understood the meaning of true happiness.”
The first stage was to accumulate wealth and means. But at this stage I did not get the happiness I wanted.
Then came the second stage of collecting valuables and items. But I realised that the effect of this thing is also temporary and the lustre of valuable things does not last long.
Then came the third stage of getting big projects. That was when I was holding 95% of diesel supply in Nigeria and Africa. I was also the largest vessel owner in Africa and Asia. But even here I did not get the happiness I had imagined.
The fourth stage was the time a friend of mine asked me to buy wheelchair for some disabled children. Just about 200 kids.
At the friend’s request, I immediately bought the wheelchairs.
But the friend insisted that I go with him and hand over the wheelchairs to the children. I got ready and went with him.
There I gave these wheel chairs to these children with my own hands. I saw the strange glow of happiness on the faces of these children. I saw them all sitting on the wheelchairs, moving around and having fun.
It was as if they had arrived at a picnic spot where they are sharing a jackpot winning.
I felt REAL joy inside me. When I decided to leave one of the kids grabbed my legs. I tried to free my legs gently but the child stared at my face and held my legs tightly.
I bent down and asked the child: Do you need something else?
The answer this child gave me not only made me happy but also changed my attitude to life completely. This child said: “I want to remember your face so that when I meet you in heaven, I will be able to recognise you and thank you once again.”
What would you be remembered for after you leave that office or place?
Will anyone desire to see your face again where it all matters?
How about trying to touch lives and make a positive difference in our own individual ways?.
