On Being Happy

The moment you choose to be happy

No matter where you are

You begin to learn to smile from the heart

You begin to change the way you speak

You begin to listen deeply and be focused

On happier things than the mundane

You evolve and thank life…

Every day a little more in time

Being happy is a choice

And the choice rests with you.

Finding Meaning

Photo by Quang Nguyen Vinh on Pexels.com

We all sail in the same boat of unending hope
We all learn of life in the living
Sharing experiences along the way.
We adjust our sails as we sense the winds of wisdom blow
And follow in hope of discovering more in the flow…
And in the leading and the following
Life goes on…
Finding meaning for itself!

On Goals

What kinds of goals do you set for yourself?

How often do you set goals?

Do you often check on your goals ?

How inspired do you feel by these goals?

Do you feel motivated by your own goals?

Do you often stretch your goals ?

Do they challenge you to do more?

The goals you set for yourself

Speak much about you and your nature

The goals you set ought to lead you

Towards a journey in faith and belief

In trust and in synch

With your convictions of your intentions

Aim high as you set your goals

And reach out some more .

Evolve yourself as you grow

Life gives unto life

Cage not the spirit of a bird
If you truly want to hear
The soul song of a bird

Plant a tree…
For life gives unto life
Such is nature of nature

Hope Against Hope

We brave the chances

We take the risks

We endure the worst

For we know the world is round

All is meant to flow

And hence there is heartfelt hope

In the most difficult moments

Simply know hope is here to stay

Believe & You can

An ability to believe in yourself takes you far. In self confidence is an energy that penetrates the insecurities and uproots fear and doubts in faith of Self belief.

Being open minded

Recently I came across a post about being open minded to wonder, than being closed to the world through belief. Being open minded need not make you a non believer in fact it is when you are able to believe that, there are other perspectives just as much as your own, is when you are truly open minded.

Positively impacting beliefs

Belief can be in trust that learning’s are about of what was and all is well in this now and hoping the best for the future. True belief is never a resistance but a bond in love trust faith and hope without feeling bound.

Believe & you can!

Belief can strengthen the living you in adversity belief can ease your thoughts in calamity
Belief can work to connect you to yourself
Belief is acknowledging in the strength of human potential, because you can!

Learning to live

Are you feeling you are trying to live

Between the raindrops?

Or maybe you feel

You are surviving between the rapids

For life is not always a bed of blooms.

Is there a trick to the whole process?

To thrive from between to the beyond

To live through the unfolding journey.

Waltzing through without warping up

Smiling throught it all

Singing the song of hope than remorse

Question yourself

Is it just a matter of priorities

What truly matters after all?

What makes for a life

That’s worth its while?

All one needs to do is experience the journey

Because the destination takes care of itself!

Life

One who knows the worth of life

Cannot afford to waste

Even a single moment of life

Care to take a step

Towards a more meaningful life.

Every now is awaiting your awareness

To envision the potential within

Every new day is a gift of possibilities

Care to make today count!

Hope is here to stay!

Covid has come
Covid will go
Herd immunity
Now at play
Will leave
With markings
Of a common flu

And yet the waves
Will leave us
Imprints of Resilience
In the cells of our being
Progressively in time
But speaking of the future
If we are able to see
Beyond the nightmare
Of the past

There is a shift
In the way of life
Of the way of living
At work & at play
The impacted have wisened
Earlier than others
But there is an awareness
No less in the rethinking
Of  the workplace that works
From physical  to hybrid.

Exploring possibilities
With our virtual connections
With precious commute time saved
Families  have sensed the togetherness
Experienced the pros & cons of wfh
Yet work has continued
Buisness collapsed yet many revived
Reinventing  the ways of work

A sense of knowing  prevails
All is not lost
For technology  has come in aid
Of mankind at its hour of need
A semblance  of normalcy regained
But with a redesigned version
Of what is the new normal
Organization  operates
Repattererned in the sensing
Of what is redundant
And what actually works!
Hope is here to stay…

Magic of New Beginnings…

One of my favorite quotes:

“Tomorrow I’ll think of some way… after all, tomorrow is another day.

Scarlett O’Hara in Gone With the Wind

This post is a dedication to a hopeful spirit.

No matter the calamities

No matter the challenges that come along…

In moments of deep despair

Know there is light around the corner

When the night turns dark

Know the dawn awaits full of light

Keep the faith & trust there is always more

In the infinite abundance

When one door closes

Another opens they say!

Keep the hope alive in your heart

And trust the magic of new beginnings💙

Art of Self Removal

Throwback to last week when I recorded a demo and forgot about it

Shown here is one of the riskiest parts of the process — removing myself from the fragile balance without disturbing it.

In order to balance something like this, I usually need to basically wrap my body around it while sitting and building.. using knees to hug / stabilize the lower section(s) like a scaffold. But once I find zero, I need to remove my body without causing the structure to collapse.. on my body.. it’s when I’m most vulnerable.

But as seen here, I keep my gaze firmly on the structure while maneuvering my body away. It’s like a weird hyper focus where I’m spatially entranced on the relative positions of the rocks, and if any data point deviates from the whole, I have maybe a second to react before it becomes dangerous, especially for my left hand here which is planted on the stump I was sitting on, hoisting my body away.. if that top decides to fall on that hand, bones would likely break… not a situation where I can afford to break focus.

Some self removals are easier than others — it really just depends on a firm hold for my right hand behind me, the sensitivity of the structure itself, and what the wind is doing..

This post made me think further on

The Art of Self Removal

In any creation

The creator is inextricably

Interweaved in the tapestry of creation

And yet the Creator detaches the self

To step away from the creation

Distinguishing the completion

Of one phase of the creation

For it to begin it’s own journey of being

Real joy!

This is a must read true incident share…

“I want to remember your face so that when I meet you in heaven, I will be able to recognise you and thank you once again.”

When Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola in a telephone interview, was asked by the radio presenter, “Sir what can you remember made you a happiest man in life?”

Femi said:
“I have gone through four stages of happiness in life and finally I understood the meaning of true happiness.”

The first stage was to accumulate wealth and means. But at this stage I did not get the happiness I wanted.

Then came the second stage of collecting valuables and items. But I realised that the effect of this thing is also temporary and the lustre of valuable things does not last long.

Then came the third stage of getting big projects. That was when I was holding 95% of diesel supply in Nigeria and Africa. I was also the largest vessel owner in Africa and Asia. But even here I did not get the happiness I had imagined.

The fourth stage was the time a friend of mine asked me to buy wheelchair for some disabled children. Just about 200 kids.

At the friend’s request, I immediately bought the wheelchairs.

But the friend insisted that I go with him and hand over the wheelchairs to the children. I got ready and went with him.

There I gave these wheel chairs to these children with my own hands. I saw the strange glow of happiness on the faces of these children. I saw them all sitting on the wheelchairs, moving around and having fun.

It was as if they had arrived at a picnic spot where they are sharing a jackpot winning.

I felt REAL joy inside me. When I decided to leave one of the kids grabbed my legs. I tried to free my legs gently but the child stared at my face and held my legs tightly.

I bent down and asked the child: Do you need something else?

The answer this child gave me not only made me happy but also changed my attitude to life completely. This child said:
“I want to remember your face so that when I meet you in heaven, I will be able to recognise you and thank you once again.”

What would you be remembered for after you leave that office or place?

Will anyone desire to see your face again where it all matters?

How about trying to touch lives and make a positive difference in our own individual ways?.
