Beauty of innocence

Some Very Beautiful Examples of Innocence, which will touch your heart…

1. Author and lecturer, Leo Buscaglia, once talked about a contest he was asked to judge.
The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child.
The winner was:

A four-year-old child, whose next door neighbour was an elderly gentleman, who had recently lost his wife.
Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old man’s yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.
When his mother asked him what he had said to the neighbour, the little boy just said: ‘Nothing, I just
helped him cry.’

2. Students, of class one in a school, were discussing a student’s family picture. One little boy in the picture had a hair colour, different from the other family members.
One of the other students suggested that he was adopted.

A little girl said: ‘I know all about
adoption, bcoz I was adopted..’

‘What does it mean to be adopted ?’, asked another child.

‘It means’, said the girl, ‘that you grew in your mommy’s heart, instead of her tummy.!’
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

3. Whenever I’m disappointed with my life, I stop and think about little Jamie Scott.
Jamie was trying out for a part in the school play.
His mother told me that he’d set his heart on being in it, though she feared he would not be chosen..

On the day the parts were awarded, I went with her to collect him after school.
Jamie rushed up to her, eyes shining with pride and excitement.. ‘Guess what, Mom,’ he shouted, and then said those words that will remain a lesson to me..: ‘I’ve been chosen to clap and cheer.’
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

4. An eye witness account from New York City , on a cold day in December.
A little boy, about 10-years-old, was standing before a shoe store on the road, barefooted, peering through the window, and shivering
with cold.

A lady approached the young boy and said: ‘My, but you’re in such deep thought staring in that window!’
The boy replied:’I was asking God to give me a pair of shoes.’

The lady took him by the hand, went into the store, and asked the clerk to get half a dozen pairs of socks for the boy.
She then asked if he could give her a basin of water and a towel.
He quickly brought them to her.

She took the little fellow to the back
part of the store and, removing her gloves, knelt down, washed his little feet, and dried them with the towel.

By this time, the clerk had returned with the socks.
Placing a pair upon the boy’s feet, she purchased him a pair of shoes..

She tied up the remaining pairs of socks and gave them to him. She patted him on the head and said, ‘No doubt, you will be more comfortable now..’

As she turned to go, the astonished kid caught her by the hand, and looking up into her face, with tears
in his eyes, asked her:

*’Are you God’s wife………?’*

Evidenceย of simplicity

The evidence of simplicity
A moment of capture
Of ordinary things.
Without the facades.

Simple can be profoundly impactful
For in the very complexity of the matter
Resides clarity of the simplicity.
Simplifying the truth of purpose
In easily understandable ways.

So beyond the flourishes
And aggrandizement
Beyond the exuberance
And unnecessary buildups
Beyond the extravagance
And the ensuing distraction.

The path of simplicity
Needs no evidence
As simple gets across the message
Like no other.

Whatโ€™s your path like?
What is your take on simple living?
Or do you dream of luxuriant living?
Has it changed or been affected by the years?
Have these times of uncertainty made a difference in the perspectives?

Paving the way for Oneness

I am saddened when I come across the mention of race by color. I am saddened that still people are called black or white or brown or yellow.

We are called out for the shades of our skin, when the truth is, we are so much more. We cannot be confined or defined by narrow eyes.

The fact is, people, see colors differently, and they may not see all the same colors while seeing the same things. There is research on how our individual brains react differently to different wavelengths of light.
Technically speaking the colors we see is an illusion created by our brain. We are not yet certain exactly how animals see perceive us and in which colors.

Why then this prejudice in words to describe life.
Humanity knows no color or creed.

Why are we still resorting to identify people into boxes, giving way to mental pictures, and conformity?
We are capable of liberating ourselves to see the bigger picture.

A dance article recently published an article that sends out a message of how Misty Copeland is a black dancer who succeeds.

Yes, we have an unequal world filled with all the ‘isms’ and the issues they bring along. It is unfair and discriminatory and biased in so many ways. Not just in race, but in species, gender, age, weight, height, class, creed, caste, religion, status, authority, education, power, and wealth.

Yet the inner light of the being surmountable all odds. And life shines through the heart of the movements.

The world must come together, as it is time to release these frames of false convictions and find in itself the ability and strength to support one another in the power of life that’s beating within us all.

Let us see beauty and talent in all colors and not attribute efforts and success to any color by birth.
When we remove reference of being a particular color we bring to light the truth of the soul and the spirit of freedom to be.

In that light, everything is illustrated in the illumination from within.

On Lead and follow

What does it take to lead?

To lead is to dare
To make the way
For others to follow

Who is a good leader?

A good leader sets an example
To demonstrate how it is done
So others can act upon it.

A good leader is a motivator
Encouraging the team in self-belief
Ever ready to appreciate and trust.

The art of good leadership
Is about taking the plunge
A leap of faith in trust and hope

What does it take to follow?

To follow takes a response
To the action taken
In complete faith and trust.

Who is a good follower?

A good follower is alert
To act upon directions given
To take orders to completion.

A good follower is a team player
Ever ready to learn some more
And increase efficiency at work.

A lesson in Leadership

Always helps to remember…

Both a leader and follower are required

There is no leader without a follower

And there can be no follower without a leader.

Shadows shimmer too!

Trust light to shine itself

Trust the shadows to find light

All is not dark forever

For light shimmers on shadows

What’s hidden uncovers itself

At some point or the other

Trust in time

Develop patience

Patterns are meant to shape

And change itself along the way

What shines has shadows

And shadows shimmer too!

Keep the faith

Shadows will find the light

All is meant to be well and bright.

There is…

Who says the page is empty?
There is poetry that is waiting to emerge

Who says the mind is blank?
There are surging thoughts full of potential.

Who says there is stillness in the silence
Stillness is overflowing with movements.

Who says the night is dark
There is light awaiting dawn!

A blank canvas is full of possibilities
Of creativity in all its flourishes in the flow.

There is the color of hope
There are patterns arising in perspectives.

There is forming and shaping of things to come
There is composition awaiting the sensing
All it needs is your faith in the envisioning.

For faith is all there is
In faith there is everything!

Life is a Waltz

Life is a dance

In learning the flow

Waltzing the waves

As they come and go.

Take this Waltz

Life is a journey

Of the rise and the fall

Of the swing and the sway

Waltzing through time.

Life can be like a waltz

Shaping through the moves

Of souls stepping in tandem

Of tuning in the synchrony.

Life is a waltz

Through the ups and downs

Take this waltz of life

And ease in to the flow!

A Beautiful Blessed Day!

Every morning is a proof
Of another shift in her axis
By our mother earth.

We are wiser by a day
After each and every night
To emerge anew at dawn.

Let our dawn spring forth in freshness
Of our spirit for living life well.
Let us discard the spurious.

Let us work with empathy for nature
Respectful of their presence in our lives.
For we are made of the very elements of nature.

Nature is in each of us.
Earth wind fire and water and space…
We are a force of nature.

Let us move with care
Let us proceed with dignity
And never take ourselves for granted.

Let us recognize the infinite intelligence
Bestowed in our being by nature
Let us be the best expression of our being.

As we move closer to our authenticity.
We will resonate to the truth of our life .
We will move closer to the purpose of being.

A beautiful blessed day to you all!

On Letting Go

“To be truly happy and contented, you must let go of what it means to be happy or content.” – Confucius

What is so difficult about the letting go?

Is it the fear of not being able to have it again when you need it most?

Or is it about the holding on to memories that were?

Or is it the attachment to things that is most difficult to release?

When we realize how dispensable we are and how transient is our being…

We will begin to see the world with a fresh pair of eyes.

We will know, nothing is given

Neither our lives nor our nature

Every manifestation must evolve

To another state in the flow

Then we may perhaps be able

To accept letting go as part of the flow!

Your Three Words

Your Three Words…

These last 3 days of sharing my artworks has been quite an enjoyable experience. It has opened up new vistas of thoughts in envisioning.

My Painting on Day 3 was titled :

The Spirit of Dance

Many of your Word interpretations were quite in synch with it.

Wanted to reflect the simple joy of dance movements in the freedom of being, each as unique as the dancer.

Thoroughly enjoyed reading and responding to each of your creative responses for all three of my artworks.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

All of your words are truly incredible and so very imaginative.
Thank you so much for joining in this little experiment in creativity.
Hope to share more of my works and continue this series in the future.

Speaking about my artworks that I posted…
All these Artworks are my paintings from back in time that I happened to chance upon again. I wanted to see if they still meant the same to me in time. I then thought of sharing it in a post the way I did, just for the little collaborative creativity and joy in the sharing.

The multitude of meanings in it, for each of you and the interpretations put forth in the responses were truly each a journey in itself.
In these times of lockdowns the world has had time to pause and reflect and has perhaps chosen to engage with varied creative enrichments in much deeper and fulfilling ways.

Do let me know if you enjoyed playing along these last three days as much as I did.๐Ÿ˜‡

Thank you all again for traveling alongside with me and my artworks for the last three days, as we mutually forged new paths of perceptions in the perspectives. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

What do you see? Day 2

Hello my dear readers,

Every day for three consecutive days I am sharing one of my own paintings from my Artworks Collection.

Every painting will be shared without the title. I would love to understand what your interpretation is of the painting. Then the next day I will reveal my original title and thoughts on the painting.

Here is a share of my Painting on Day 2

vortex (1)

Please write the first 3 words that come to mind the moment you see it.

Lets together see if what I have tried depicting through my painting has reached you. Or better still you may have your own interpretation which I would love to read.

Must add, absolutely fascinating word interpretations to yesterday’s painting.I appreciate you for playing along and contributing with your interesting word choices.ย Some of your words have truly made me think again, so thank you for that! Please play on, I look forward to your words to my picture today.

As promised… Day 1: My yesterday’s painting share was titled Faces I ave always enjoyed and love drawing the human face & profile. I created a face in a face and kept shaping the profiles, side by side depicting the many dimensions to the face, as I continued to flow through with it. There is certainly a whole lot of blues depicting the moods and the mind. My interest in drawing the human face also made me write these two poems:

https://www/savvyraj.com/what-makes-a-face-interesting/

https://savvyraj.com/every-face-tells-a-story/

After all there are so many facets to the faces we see around us.

How many faces did you see, I wonder?

On Empathy

Empathy is what empathy does.
Empathy cultivates bonds of trust.
Empathy speaks from understanding.
Empathy is not soft but sagacious.

Empathy promotes cooperation.
Empathy acknowledges with care.
Empathy shows consideration.
Empathy promotes goodwill.

Empathy Matters

Whenever there is empathy in action it is often mirrored by hearts and minds to create, generate, loving and caring thoughts as a response to the action.
Every empathic thought finds its way into expression through thoughts, words or deeds.

With increasing empathic thoughts and action there is unknowingly a connectedness,in valuing the interdependence in this web of life and living as a way of being. Empathy is truly a way of being and in these times of uncertainty, it is beginning to matter all the more in our life and living every day!
