You are enough!

As women we put off taking a stand

We may choose to stay on the shoreline

Too often we put off till tommorow

What needs to be done today.

Choose to chance the unexpected

Dare to dance with spontaneity

To dance is to be powerful enough

To express yourself as your self.

To be all you want to be.

Experience this power in you.

It is yours for the taking & sharing

Be happy, be you, today and every day!

Happy Womans Day’ today and every day to all the Women reading this.

Breach and Trust🐋

Have you seen the whales breach
In such confidence they soar upward
They even maneuver a twirl
And fall back in complete trust
In the support of the water below.
How beautiful an example can mother nature give
Of unfolding grace in trust and confidence

Much of our lifes story can be just as beautiful.
When it is in a flow like that
When we rise in success with faith
Being completely confident of our purpose
When we surrender in complete unflinching trust
Knowing there is support and love flowing in the roots.

Why are humans rising and touching the stars?
Why are we progressing phenomenally
Yet why are we crash landing at times?
Why are we failing?
While it is the faith in ourselves that may take us upwards
Bu the lack of trust and support for one another brings us down.
Perhaps we need to learn from water
How to be flexible in its fluidity.
To be adaptable in its buoyancy
And then we too can rise again with every fall.

For inspite of every ability we have …
Support from our family and friends
Matter more than we know!

Wouldn’t you agree?

When you have faith in your roots then every leap of faith is of a trustful knowing
That no matter how far you reach you have a home to come back to!

Power of Dance

A video clip posted on fb caught my eye today, it was about the beauty of dance movements by male dancers.

The clip shows some amazing male ballet dancers moving majestically.

There is strength and suppleness

Grit and grace in the moves

The moves are not effeminate

As commonly perceived by laymen

That male dancers dancers are boxed into.

In fact there is power of poise

In their agile moves, so difficult to achieve.

Whoever shows gender bias in Dance.

This clip will show the power of Dance

To move beyond bias and prejudice.

It is so much more than the moves

It is a state of mind and heart.

That creates magic in the movements.

Adorable Tree

“A tree nowhere offers a straight line or a regular curve, but who doubts that root, trunk, boughs, and leaves embody geometry?”
~George Iles

The above collage of artworks is based out of one of my photographs of this adorable tree I pass by every time, during my walks in Rennes France. I then enhanced my photo digitally and I am sharing the artworks out of my photography of this tree. I am always amazed how this tree would look different during different times of the day. And the changing weather would make it a treat to capture. While I clicked the pictures I couldn’t help notice the play of light on the tree and how its autumn leaves would shine through.

Sometimes there is no logic,

It is just the nature of being.

It may seem like just any other tree but for me this beautiful tree lives in my heart forever.

Old is Gold

My recent post on Music from Mobiles garnered a gem of comment from Abhirbhav which I deeply appreciate as it got me to immediately read and understand more on this subject.

This post is a sequel to that comment.

Gold is a precious metal which is also conductive and pliable and it retains a stable value better than many other commodities.

Here are few interesting facts I came across through GOOGLE search.

1.Laptops, phones, cameras, and the like are filled with gold plated circuit boards even printers and scanners have gold, silver, and copper, even platinum in them.
Generally, you can get at least a little bit of gold out of anything that contains a circuit board, with additional gold found in elements like connective pins. Computers tend to be the electronics with the most gold in them, but camcorders, game consoles, and cell phones also contain gold.

2.The materials recovered are reused in new electronics parts and the gold and other precious metals are melted down and sold as ingots to jewelers and investors as well as back to manufacturers who use gold in the circuit boards because gold conducts electricity even better than copper.

3.And also not to forget the sim cards do have gold but it takes a lot of cards to just get 1 gram of gold.
1kg of sim cards will get you on average 1.5g of gold.

So certainly it is profitable, to recycle gold from electronic devices because it makes your outdated electronics so valuable even after they’ve reached the end of their life cycle.

Thank you Abhirbhav for initiating this direction of thought and the ensuing learning from it.

Matrix Of Matter

All life is a creation that matters
What engineers matter, designs.
Simplifying the complexities
Of the matrix of matter.

In the ultimum equilibrium
All exists in resonance
But as creativity unfolds
The matrices dance in its vibrations

The profoundness of it all
Leaves lasting impression
Impacting every life in every now
This is the eternal truth of creation

Every vibrancy is a dance in infinity
In its quantum state of being.
Life matters, as it acts and responds
In every moment there is.

Mind of the matter propels and distorts
Heart of the matter creates and vibrates
Conjoined the matrix of the matter
Stabilizes creation across dimensions.

Behind the Apparent

Story behind the photographs

Yesterday I posted a verse that came to me inspired by these captures. Here is the link https://wp.me/p6a0yZ-4CX

There is more to these photos…

While visiting Lourve Museum in France and while walking around those endless galleries of amazing artists and their creativity galore, my eyes turned to a glassdoor near the flight of steps.
I chanced upon this wonderful sculpture on the roof top of the facade, reaching out to the yonder as if to tell something… I filled in the blanks.

Sometimes we are so deeply caught in the maze of life around us.
But if we only care to look beyond it all, we are inspired to see so much more.

Art is in the way you see life.
Art is all around us and is but a perspective of the nuances.
All you need is the heart to appreciate.

Beautiful piece of sky!

@ Louvre Museum Paris.

Oh beautiful piece of sky!
Lighting our heart with liberty!

Forage in us the spirit of freedom.
Let us breath in the beauty of openness.
Let us witness the ethereal light across the horizon.
Let us rejoice in your dance of abundance.

May you bless us every day
Painting our hearts with hope.
And let us live in love.
In gratitude and good energies.

Your place in the sun

What does it take to live life well?

A whole lot of passion
To go after your dreams
A whole lot of perseverance
To achieve your intentions

A whole lot of patience
To wait out the storms.
A whole lot of common sense
To find your way around.

But most of all
A whole lot of thankfulness
And a whole lot of gratitude
To know your place in the sun.

Art of Management

Art of Giving Feedbacks

There are many types of feedbacks given and solicited in a typical corporate environment.
In the art of management the topic of critical appraisals and sharing feedbacks is a nerve wracking process on both sides. For the truth is feedbacks at work take not only a whole lot of in- depth analysis, but it takes courage and common sense deliver. And often they can be the toughest of conversations to have.

Are you feeling uncertain about how to confront a feedback session. At work there will be time where you might have faced a feedback session .

If you have been the one who is giving feedback to your team or a member of your team here are six tips that can help you master the art of giving feedbacks.

Prepare

Keep the perspectives clear of what was expected and agreed upon earlier and the issues that is evident. Give a clear picture of what has been observed to the receiver. Remember you are addressing the work issues, dont get personal.

Proper time and place

Ensure you are slotting a feedback time that is mutually least distracting.
This will ensure there is the required focus and  necessary attention to the discussion at hand.

Ask and listen well

Contrary to what is understood about feedbacks time the reviewer needs to hear more and speak less often to deliver objective feedbacks to resolve issues.
Avoid letting your own ego from taking too much space. Instead Inquire more into why certain things are not going well. Speak less ask more open ended questions and let them speak and ask for feedbacks and own up to their mistakes. That way you will not be crushing egos but resolving issues you are facing as a team .Avoid bombarding. Be empathetic but assertive.

Sandwich

Choose your words and sentences well.Feedbacks and  critical analysis involves being mindful  of the words  you choose and conveying the criticism in a well meaning way so that you are not directly attacking the receiver. This will ensure they are able to digest and understand what is going wrong and not stagnate by becoming defensive.
Remember it is not a war of egos and ensure  you avoid making it one .

Be clear & concise

Vagueness is not going to resolve anything. Be objective in your feedback . If someone is a perpetual latecomer then mention specifically how many times they are late in the last month .
This will make them more accountable and lead to ownership  and better productivity  at work.

See the Bigger Picture

When you giving feedback address the issue and do not attack the person’s character. Try your best to see  things in  the larger frame . Avoid being petty and leave your own ego aside before you begin.Remind yourself always to envision the bigger picture. And remember that it is not personal.

Feedbacks in general can be  a very valuable tool for  companies.and there are many types of feedbacks.

Have you given or received  feedbacks recently.

What  are your expectations  and experiences on feedbacks?

And refill as you go…

I start my day with a smile

Feeling thankful from my heart

For another day of being alive

And be a better version of me.

I start and end my day with hope

For a brand new beginning

Of things I can do & people I can meet

Of things I can learn from and share

And see the good that I can do

In my own little ways.

Life manifests itself

From our deepest intentions

Every moment can be made better.

Have a great start to every day!

How do you start your day?

Make Peace Not War

Every weapon made, adds to the fear
And false satisfaction of keeping you safe.
You can never be safe, when at war
Every armor is simply a pointer
Of the state of things.
Of the need of peace than war.

Every need to create ammunition
Shows the truth of retaliations.
Revenge in fear or dare is never the answer.
Resolution is where peace makes its way.

If we must be led, let us be lead
In strength of patience.
To explore possibilities
Let us choose to disarm.
Let us disengage and make amends.
Let us choose peace than war.
Let us find the middle path
In reconciliation.
Let us recognize the wrongs done.
Let us learn to undo the mistakes.
And move in harmony and oneness.
That is when we can together
Heal the world in peace
And make it worth living.

A price to pay!

Everything I want
Comes with a cost
So ring me up, Put it on my tab
Whatever the cost I’m good for it!!!

A recent series on Netflix Spinning Out starts with these above lines from the song In the water by Jay Downer.

In reflection perhaps it is something every one of us can identify with at one point or the other.

In times of chaos and changes
Where lines get blurred
Between the future and past
In the now that yesterday brings us to
And the moments that can design itself to be
All our intentions are the reason
That things begin to happen
And then when it does
All our truths start to matter.

Life stares at you before you blink
And you got to learn to keep your eyes open.

No more is it make believe
For when reality dawns
It is reciprocal arrangement all the way!
You pay for what you want,
It comes to you with a price to pay!

When Creativity Dares

Today I complete my 500 days of writing consecutively here on WordPress, with my 500th post. Special and heartfelt thanks to all my readers and followers who have supported me in this journey of writing.

I would like to mark this day by writing about one of my favorite topics Creativity.

Creativity is fueled by the fire of passion. Often instinctual and deeply captivating, it is an expression of your innate potential. With it you are in touch with your deepest core. You are consciously awakening to the infinite abundance within, in every channelling.

Creativity spurts in the most unexpected ways.

It surges forth a river of possibilities

It amplifies the potential within

It leads you to rethink and challenge the norms.

It dares to question the accepted and projects perspectives.

It explores and creates paths for evolution.

It defies conventions to envision out of the box ideas.

It justifies the necessity of freewill through the art of movements

To create resolutions in times of confusion and chaos.

To manifest simplicity in times of complexity.

To innovate and change the statuesque in times of staid compliance.

To design and redesign towards efficiency and effectivity of purpose.

When creativity dares it is in communion with infinite abundance.

It is creativity that stokes the fire

It is creativity douses the flames.

Creativity has a solution for every problem.

Art of Management

Team Management

Management calls for special skillsets but with changing times the skills have much to do with empathy in people management. Every head of department faces different sets of difficult situations but most common to all is getting the work done by the team effectively increasing productivity with the available resources.

You are improving your team every time you incorporate the following ways

1. When you talk less, and are listening more.

2 . When you begin to delegate work to the right team members and increase the sense of responsibility in them.

3.When you are able to speak assertively with confidence and empathy than simply ordering people around.

4. When you are able to analyze and share appraisals to resolve and find solutions in a non judgmental manner.

5. When you are able to steer and guide them in their endeavors without overtaking the joy of effort.

6. When you practising collaborating with your team instead of trying to be the controlling one.

Every team is unique as the people in it and this makes it uniquely interesting to manage as well.
