A learning mind

A true learners mind never ages

For  they have the curiosity of a child

A blank slate where learning  can be added

An earnestness in exploration

A trustful disposition

An open mind that allows  expansion…

And most of all a readiness to learn

To imbibe knowledge and update the self.

When the mind is ready

The understanding happens

Literally magic

Birthing a new world

Giving shape to imagination

Seeding trees of possibilities

Bearing fruits in the passion

Creating energy in the synergy

Making the words come alive

Writing is literally magic…

Take time

Take time to see beyond

To care and be considerate,

To be kind and compassionate,

To wonder and stay curious.

Take time to learn and explore,

To read and discover another,

To revere the precious now,

To stay grateful for every moment.

For life moves forward

As clocks tick relentlessly,

With no respite…

So choose to reclaim time.

Take time for, and with, the self.

To live lovingly than just exist.

Who lifts you up?

Over the years

Living life teaches much.

Every person in your life

has an unique role to play.

Sometimes they are necessary for you

at times, you are necessary for them.

Life happens along the way,

leaving lessons fine.

Your emotional equation matters more than you think.

Choose to spend time with those who lift you up.

Those who bring cheer and smile to your face.

Choose your circle, its your right.

Choose wisely and you can be where you want to be…

You have one life.

Choose well…

Who will don it?

It was like a painting

That I could not forget

In the streets of Paris

Where artists paint

In passionate fervour.

The stark shape of lines

Bold colors that speak

Of the creator’s confidence.

The play of contrasts

In the light & dark.

The arresting silhouette

Almost molded to form.

An awe-inspiring design.

Displayed in the window

It caught my eye…

The dress was mesmerizing

No, not in a delicate way

It was quite the opposite.

It spoke to me

Of a certain power play

It had me thinking

Who will don it?

Power in a dress?

A dress can do much for your confidence

You can own the dress and the world …

With the right kind of dress.

Would you agree?

And tell me…

When I started the above poem with the line

It was like a painting…

Did you think it could be about a dress ?

If you did…

Did you think of it as something that flowed with beauty?

And what else would your imagination associate with a beautiful painting, I would  love to know.

Space for wisdom

Letting go of one’s space

Is not easy

For it is akin to relinquishment.

Knowing how time and space

And all the other elements

Are never the same again.

Yet these experiences

manifest themselves

In the journey of life

Perhaps one or many times

For in that kind of letting go,

The ego of knowing

And assuming dissolves

Yielding space for wisdom.

Like learning is also unlearning…

Wisdom is wise in its ways.

It prefers space

And room to evolve

For it knows only too well

What is, is not all…

Change is the only constant.

Evolving through it all

Wisdom finds its space to be.

Savvy

P.S.:

These verses found their way to flow, on a particularly quiet dawn in moments of  contemplation.

Sensing how letting go is not easy in our clinging to the past, be it the wins
or misses and how wisdom needs space to evolve.

And most of all as a reminder  that instead of holding on to the weight of the past, if we only could allow ourselves to be in the lightness of this now…

What is that one thought or habit you’ve had to “unlearn” recently to make room for something new?

I’d love to read your thoughts below.

Bridge on the river of time

On Awareness

Between what was understood and what we understand, and what we are yet to understand, is the bridge of awareness in time.

Our shifting perspectives are  simply signs of  changes as we continue to flow in the river of time.

Way Of Peace

The way of peace is not in war & conflicts

The way of peace is in heartful awareness, as much as in mindful living.

And for peace to sustain itself…
We need to evolve with awareness
We need to recognize the truth of our interdependence.

We need to adapt ourselves
To the changing times.
It will take a realization of the interconnects between
individual well being & collective wellbeing.

Anf it certainly needs acceptance and aligning with the dynamics that peace brings forth …
For peace needs embodiment through conscious choice & practice as a way of life.

Make the way of peace

A way of life.

Birthing in the now

Your birth is not the only time you are born

You are born in every moment of awareness

You are born in every  conscious breath.

You are born in the pain and the pleasures of living life.

You are born in every deed of compassion & kindness.

You are born in the joy of both inclusion and expansion.

You are born in the moments of heartfelt connections.

The truth is you can birth yourself in every now.

Align your breath with presence.

The Plus Side.

Was reading an article today on how education today has become more and more  transactional…and how it robs the learner of the critical  thinking.

I share my musings…

When education is not a buisness

When learning is not about grades

When teaching is a passion than profession.

Where doubts, perspectives are welcomed

And not sidelined or ridiculed

When questions are not means to an end

Curiosity and wonder will find its purpose…

That I am fond of writing is nothing new after all these years of blogging and writing but as a child, I remember clearly when I was asked by a school teacher to read a  famous poem and share its meaning in class I dared to share a new interpretation to it…that resonated with me.

The teacher then, was not open to a change of perspective… nor ready for a deep dive on why I saw it differently. She simply wanted to finish her work without deviation. I remember sitting down that day, without feedback.

But it didn’t stop me from wonder and writing…in fact I continued to write free verses in time till date.

I write this all, for I have  shifted many schools in my childhood… as my father served in the Armed forces. I have seen upclose the good, bad and ugly side of schooling.

And the plus side is, it certainly has shaped me to be, adaptable and resilient as a person in time.

There is always the plus side…

What do you think ?

One Good Word

One Good Word…

As readers and writers, we experience a dual bliss: the joy of discovering writing that deeply resonates, and the quiet fulfillment of reflecting on our own words and the connections they create.

It is a beautiful thing to share our creative gifts with the world. Yet, what is most profound is the heart of the person…reader or writer,  alike who takes the moment to offer a word of kindness or appreciation. A single good word has the power to change someone’s day for the better.

Expression is a gentle pathway to healing. Whether it is a pen dancing across paper, a brush gliding with color, or feet tracing patterns upon the earth, the joy of movement is our shared thread.

Reaching out from within ourselves to share is not always easy, even if deeply fulfilling. It demands our energy, our time, and our vulnerable spirit. Yet to withhold our voices or suppress these expressions would be a tragic loss indeed.
It is truly inspiring to read, to write, and to honor the transformative power of words in all their creative manifestations.

What  is one “good word” or simple phrase someone once shared with you that stayed in your heart when you needed it most?

When friends are blessings…

True friends trust
In each other
They find comfort
And care to share & listen
The truth of what it is
Without fear or favour

For they know the value
Of authentic advice
Without frills and fancies
Daring to bare the truth
Without colours of envy.

True friends matter
To each and everv one of us
We are better because of them
In trust, love, care & faith
Count the blessings
Of true friends in this now.

How many such true friends can one count in life?

Only yesterday  I witnessed a friendship that stood the test of time and renewed itself in faith & trust.

I thought to myself how important  it is to acknowledge the preciousness of true friends as much as to become a true friend that one can count on.

SPARKS OF LIGHT

There are times we sense, how words are sparks of light.

From life and lifetimes lived

Of learnings from being you

That is actually meant to light hearts

Near and far…

We simply need to trust, for words know and find their way.

Keep sparking & sharing your light ✨️ 🙏

Who are you?

Beyond the name, I am the space between the breaths, the sum of my senses.

Beyond words, a witness & the resonance of infinite possibility.

Beyond deeds, I am the dance of life…
Beyond  speech, I am the breath that experiences life.

Life is a gift, granted in this lifetime.
I ground myself in gratitude to simply be.  🙏

Join in with me for a  moment of  alignment…
With the body, mind, heart, and spirit
That houses and helps in evolving the soul.
Infinite thanks to the parts
That weaves us into a whole.  🙏

Ask the self, ‘ Who are you?’
