Ladders that lead

I wrote this piece with respect for so many entrepreneurial spirits and their enterprise. Who catapult to fame and recognition but then often find themselves unable to sustain themselves. And the heart-wrenching truth is that not all have the resilience and the capability to bounce back.

But life is a circle and change is the order of nature.

In the toughest of rounds

Keep the faith and patience

And trust time to show the way…

Ladders that lead

The climb is a chase, but the fall is steep.
So persevere on beyond just the achievement.
Be tenacious in ascent & resilient in descent.

Ladders that lead you higher in the name of career success, fame and glory lead you to so much more than just that. As you climb each step gradually, you inch closer to your dreams.

You are chalking your life in every move. And then in the pinnacle of your success…
You realize you have reached your goal.

Here is the point of discernment
As you observe, check the signs around you
Are you ready to play the game of survival?
You will receive less warmth here than ever before.
Your colleagues will change their minds
Think twice before supporting you.
Fear not and keep on going
Stay mindful in the moment.

Ladders are meant to go up and down. If you have climbed up you must know to establish your survival modes else there is the ladder that brings you down.
But it’s twice much harder to bear, on the way down than the challenges you face on the way up.

What do you do when ladders do the disappearing act?

Sometimes the ladder vanishes
And there is no clear way to step down
Except for a blind leap of faith.
There may be darkness and uncertainty
Sadness and silence
Shame and blame
All devastating effects
Of loss and failure
Yet the trick is to go on
Correcting your ways
Learning from the experience
And letting go of past foibles.

Mistakes make you more aware
Hurt a little and you are cautious
In pain there is understanding
It’s what to watch out for!

Paths that may seem easy
May get you embroiled in complexities.
Watch yourself along the way
For the journey takes all of you!

You will encounter much support on the way up
But once you are catapulted into the halls of fame…

You will find many critics and judgments
From those watching with interest
How you are managing it from here.
With all those judgemental eyes on you
One slip is a sure fire miss and costs a lot!

Watch your every stepand move
For you are being followed
Here is where your resilience is tested!
Stay true to who are.
Look ahead as you trust yourself.
Paths can appear out of nowhere.✨🙏✨

Strength of the Soul

Never does the human soul appear so strong as when it foregoes revenge and dares to forgive an injury.
Edwin Hubbel Chapin

The strength of the soul
Is in allowing the fluidity of the flow
Of acceptance of possibilities.
In the flexibility of feelings
To adapt to the changes.
In foregoing retribution
And forgiving the past.
Evolving in the flow.

On Richness

How do you know
you are rich?

Amazing answer
by an IIT student.

When I was doing my
B. E. there was a Professor who used to teach us ‘Mechanics’.

His lectures used to be very interesting since he had an interesting way to teach and explain
the concepts.

One day, in the class, he asked the following questions:

1. What is ZERO?
2. What is INFINITY?
3. Can ZERO and INFINITY be same?

We all thought that we knew the answers and we replied as following:

ZERO means nothing.
INFINITY means
a number greater than any countable number.

ZERO and INFINITY are opposite and they can never be same.

He countered us by first talking about infinity and asked, How can there be any number which is greater than any countable number?

We had no answers.

He then explained the concept of infinity in a very interesting way, which I remember even after more than 50 years.

He said that imagine that there is an illiterate shepherd who can count only
upto 20.

Now, if the number of sheep he has less than 20 and you ask him how many sheep he has, he can tell you the precise number (like 3, 5 14 etc.).

However, if the number is more than 20, he is likely to say “TOO MANY”.

He then explained that in science infinity means ‘too many’ (and not uncountable) and in the same way zero means ‘too few’ (and not nothing).

As an example, he said that if we take the diameter of the Earth as compared to distance between Earth and Sun, the diameter of earth can be said to be zero since it is too small.

However, when we compare the same diameter of earth with the size of a grain, diameter of earth can be said to be infinite.

Hence, he concluded that the same thing can be ZERO and INFINITE at the same time, depending on the context, or your matrix of comparison.

The relationship between richness and poverty is similar to the relationship between infinity
and zero

It all depends on the scale of comparison with your wants.

If your income is more than your wants,
you are rich.
If your wants are more than your income,
you are poor.

I consider myself rich because my wants are far less than my income.

I have become rich not so much by acquiring lots of money, but BY PROGRESSIVELY REDUCING MY WANTS.

If you can reduce your wants, you too can BECOME RICH at this very moment.

This interesting forward came my way today and I wanted to share this with a few musings on the same lines…

Being rich is living life exploring and discovering all your possibilities of your potential

Being rich is being able to realize the potential of you.

Being rich is being ready to sense the abundance that is.

Money is not necessarily the only factor for your worth.

You are rich in knowing your worth.

Be enriched in health wealth & prosperity but most of all be rich in the heart and mind.

In realization of the contentment of what you have, you are truly rich!

Channelizing anger

Anger is a burning coal

Destroying the one holding it

Choose to be less worked up

And let go of the little things.

Life makes things better

Anger is a powerful emotion

That is unpredictable by nature

Expression is the first step

To channelize anger issues

Secondly choosing to shift attention

To focus on something positive

Helps to channelize the anger within

This helps in converting anger

To constructive behavior.

Thirdly conscious deep breathing

Ensuring a sense of calm

Adapting to change is another way

By doing a bit of rethinking

To find a new sense of perspective

Helps to see the reasoning well.

Anger may stem from deep resentment, held unexpressed for a very long time. Often it may surface in memory associations quite unexpectedly. Or it may be come from bitterness or unfairness meted out.

When angry, it is difficult to breathe, forget think. As all the pent up frustrations get mixed up with emotions and feelings causing an outburst.

Management of anger is difficult as you do not know when you are going to get angry next.

But tapping into mindful awareness, of the signs of anger and dispassionately working towards steps that channelize the feeling of anger in practical ways to release the pent up frustrations begins to help manage anger gradually.

There are many therapies for anger management but it’s important to find one that is suitable to you.

When was the last time you got angry?

How did you express it?

Did you feel bad after the episode of anger?

Do you remember the emotions that you went through when you were angry?

More importantly did you do anything about your anger?

Who doesn’t get angry I wonder. As anger is necessary evil as it is meant to be a vent for any built up steam.

Management of anger starts with acknowledgement and awareness of the issue at hand.

Personally walking, dancing painting writing and solitude top my ways of channelizing anger. I find myself calmer and relaxed and in a happier state post a dance session or after writing or creating an artwork.

I also like to do work that requires organisation like folding clothes arranging things to get me back to equilibrium.

How do you channelize your anger?

The Dance of the Self Arranging Universe

How intriguing are the intersections in interconnects…

In synergy of the energy
Of the harmony in the synchrony
Of life and the living
Of spaces between the steps
The spectre of the spheres
The realms of the cosmos
From one to another dimensions
And what is beyond the known
The illusions in the making.

Yet to understand more
Is to acknowledge the dance
Of patterns of possibilities
Shape shifting formations
Arranging and rearranging
In the infinite potential.

Watch this spectre of the spheres, the dance of the planets Jupiter and Mars around the sun…

Humanity

A few musings…

Where is humanity in this now?

What does it take for humanity to thrive?

How does it continue to thrive?

Touched by the grace of gratitude

Appeased in the love for life

Moving beyond the self in inclusivity

In thoughts, words and deeds.

Humanity continues to thrive…

In moments of humility, kindness & compassion

In help, care, support & empathy

And yet it takes us all

Each and every one of us

To consistently sustain our humanity.

On Prayer

What is a Prayer

A prayer is a conscious thought

A prayer is also a connectedness through  the spirit

A prayer is a journey beyond the mere physical and emotional realms

A prayer is a reminder of our source to access whenever, wherever …

A prayer is a shift in perspectives

A prayer is a deeper look into the self

A prayer is a reflection in positivity.

A prayer is an innate tool towards subtlety

A prayer is a step towards conscious awareness

A prayer is a bridge of acknowledgement

A prayer is a bow of acceptance

A prayer is a trustful disposition

A prayer is a healing calmth in  despair and devastation

A prayer is a joyous amalgamation to the divine within

A prayer is a call out in troubled times

A prayer is within reach and beckoning

A prayer is a helping hand from within…

A prayer is union of thoughts words and deeds

A prayer is a foray into tenderness

A prayer is a poise of Grace

A  prayer is an expansion of the kindness of  the spirit

A prayer is the strength of the indomitable will

A prayer is an innate form of expression

A prayer is a poise in humility

A prayer is much more beyond the folded hands  bowing

A prayer is a Soul conversation

 A  prayer is a meditation in action…

A prayer is a realisation of the stillness of your being

A prayer is a journey within the breath of life…

A prayer is a power of moving hearts

A prayer is unity in the diversity

A prayer is a grounding  in rootedness

A prayer is a realisation of equanimity

A prayer is a silence beyond the verses

A prayer is a song from the heart

A prayer is a soulful dance in tandem with divinity

A prayer is a thanksgiving in gratitude!

Wisdom of walking on…

To me walking has been synonymous with freedom, and I believe that it is one of the best ways to balance your mind and body every day. I have been enjoying this healthy activity pretty consistently.

Walking is something people take for granted but with the right approach the act of walking can be a friendly support for a lifetime.

But this is about walking and walking on from pride of success so that you create space for more.

There is great wisdom in such a practice.

There is always something

That you would have done

That which you have accomplished

Your success that you are proud of!

However,

What you did yesterday

Cannot be taken for granted

For it is back in time

What ever your achievements

Your accomplishments are yours to know

Yet life is not lived backwards

You can take your learnings

From what is done and apply to this now

For the future is another day

Dwell not in time gone by

Past glory recedes in time

No matter the memory into a distant dot.

Choose to be in this present

For then the hits and misses

Become small matters in the sun

Then no challenge is unsurmountable

For then success and failures

Become stepping stones to learn from

Walk on in this now…

Truth of Meditation

Happened to read a profound quote share of Lao Tzu, from
The Tao Teh Ching by my wonderful blogger friend Eddie Two Hawks here https://wp.me/p16fFF-6Ic

Here is my contemplation based on the quote

Close the doors..
Of the chaos of thoughts
Of unnecessary judgements
in the making
Close the doors…
Consciously in the noticing
In mindfulness than mindlessness &
overthinking.
This is the truth of meditation
In all its simplicity
And in all its profoundness.

Be Happy

To be happy, healthy and fully present in this now.

You simply need yourself

Committed to being all that you can be.

Work on your own self.

To be better than yesterday

Express your light of being

In ways that can make a positive difference.

Be happy as you can be

Know, you are enough for you.

As much as for the world

As you are creating positivity

In and around you.

Be happy.

On determination

To the truly determined

Opportunity unfolds

In the sustained effort.

To learn anything new

Needs dedicated determination

To understand beyond exploring.

In the will and perseverance

Arrives the point of knowing

And learning continues…

For the truly determined

Nothing can stop the learning.

Awakening the self

When you arrive at being comfortable
At ease no matter the seeking and the knowing
At peace no matter the circumstances
In equanimity in the wisdom of the interconnects
You are awakening yourself…
To the profoundness of you.
In the subtlety of consciousness
Resides the truth of it all.
