On my Dad’s 80th Birthday…

To the man who taught me ….
To step up to this world with a smile in my heart .
To dance is to have no worries
To live is to be alive to this moment and most of all…
To care to waltz with life joyfully in Gratitude.
Happy Father’s Day Dearest Dad My Dance Guru… May I have this dance with you .?

Musings on a flight from France Amsterdam

Onwards and upwards
Here I am traveling light
With heartfelt gratitude
In the giving and receiving
Sight of fresh colors of flowers
In clothes people are wearing
Is a sea change from the mostly black monotones
Sensing summer vibes in the air.
Remembering the romance of Parisian bylines
Hope the time forward is full of hope and possibilities
Looking forward to new experiences …
Every country has a unique culture
Tuning in to the collective personas
Like tasting the wine in every sip
Travel can be a truly an immersive experience.
All it needs is a willingness to travel & adapt to the changing scenarios
And a spirit of tolerance as much as the love for freedom.

Life and Living soulful stories share that come my way…

John D Rockfeller was once the richest man in the world. The first billionaire in the world. By age 25, he controlled one of the largest oil refineries in the US. By age 31, he had become the world’s largest oil refiner. By age 38, he commanded 90% of the oil refined in the U.S.
By 50, he was the richest man in the country. As a young man, every decision, attitude, and relationship was tailored to create his personal power and wealth.
But at the age of 53, he became ill. His entire body became racked with pain and he lost all of his hair. In complete agony, the world’s only billionaire could buy anything he wanted, but he could only digest soup and crackers. An associate wrote, He could not sleep, would not smile and nothing in life meant anything to him. His personal, highly skilled physicians predicted he would die within a year. That year passed agonizingly slowly.
As he approached death he awoke one morning with the vague realisation of not being able to take any of his wealth with him into the next world. The man who could control the business world suddenly realized he was not in control of his own life. He was left with a choice.
He called his attorneys, accountants, and managers and announced that he wanted to channel his Assets to Hospitals, Research, and Charity work. John D. Rockefeller
established his Foundation. This new direction eventually led to the discovery of penicillin, cures for malaria, tuberculosis and diphtheria. But perhaps the most amazing part of Rockefeller’s story is that the moment he began to give back a portion of all that he had earned, his
body’s chemistry was altered so significantly that he got better. It looked as if he would die at 53 but he lived to be 98. Rockefeller learned gratitude and gave back the vast majority of his wealth. Doing so made him whole. It is one thing to be healed. It is another to be made whole.
Before his death, he wrote this in his dairy, “The Supreme Energy taught me, that everything belongs to Him and I am only a channel to comply his wishes. My life has been one long, happy holiday; Full of work and full of play I dropped the worry on the way and God was
good to me every day.”
A profound message in those words.

Whenever and wherever there is hope, faith and love… miracles happen.
In living life’s every moment
As if it’s a miracle in itself
Either there is a miracle for you
Waiting to happen
Or you are the miracle for another
Waiting to unfold
Both are inspiration for one or the other
For out of difficulties
Miracles are born!

In any organization
When leadership listens
Empathy is nurtured
Safe space is created
Conversations connect
Teams bond in trustfulness
Productivity rises
In balanced motivation
Both intrinsic & external
Work becomes less dense
Creativity flows through
In collaboration & coperation
Valuing diversity of potential
Possibilities are explored
In freedom & growth
Collective intelligence resolves
Challenges gets simplified
Structure becomes systems
Protocols are in place
Organizations get organized
Change is acknowledged
In faith goodwill and trust
That we are stronger together
As respect becomes culture.
There is unity in diversity.

The way we feel has much to do with the way we think
The way we think has much to do with the way we behave
The way we behave has much to do with our notions assumptions and perceptions.
And the way we are perceived has much to do with the way we carry ourselves.
Our personality & attitude is our projection of our personas
Our nature is interweaved with the emotional state of being .
In acknowledging this…
Our life’s journey evolves in awareness.
What we say to ourselves
Is immensely impactful!
Lets understand the power
Within each of us.
Let’s review our internal dialogues…
When you are about to say
‘ Let me give up’
Change it to
Let me try again
When you think
I am not enough
Can you say
I am capable as I am.
When you fear failure
Can you learn from failure
And emerge stronger from the experience
Life truly has many possibilities
For those who care to see
And acknowledge life’s lessons.

It is always a learning in progress for learning is never ending and is a continuous path in life and living.
Yet it is beautiful to pause & be grateful for the understanding that comes our way.
In the trials & tribulations of being a student & a teacher, life abounds in deep gratitude.

Add a little love
To whatever you do
Love is the secret ingredient
And love makes all the difference
Love can be expansive
And yet inclusive in nature.

For sense is the essence of love
Nature of love is truly giving
That I wonder at times
Is there such a thing
As too much love?

To flow is to witness moments
Change in the river of time
To flow is to realise
That change is the only constant
To flow is to make space
For something new
Let go, to let flow happen
Let the blessings flow!

Exactly eight years ago!
With love from Athens Greece … 🙂 At the World Dance Research Congress Greece UNESCO as a representative member from India 🙂
An example of Unity in Diversity…. Approximately 400 conferees from 40 countries of the 5 continents.!
Today in India, so glad to write this, the dance community that represents India internationally has grown from strength to strength … yet ‘Spot me’ if you can … I was the only woman representative from India at that time.
An amalgamation of such an association and the resulting experiences leaves one enriched for a life time. The practice resulting thereof in pursuit of excellence becomes important. In the awareness of the possibilities in dance applications on the human psyche and form, the responsibility of making a positive difference in your purpose is strengthened.
Power to more such immersive and experiential collaborations in the art of dance movements across the world. 🙏

This is a different kind of post.

Have been writing and sharing my thoughts and reflections here on WordPress for many years now. Many of you have been with me in this journey off and on and some of you consistently so… and for both I am full of gratitude.
Through these poems and prose my life’s experiences and explorations have often been my muse in the musings.
Just wondering out loud how am I perceived through these words. And what do you sense of me intuitively?
Would you care to share?
It’s simply a self exploratory share to learn and understand some more and I sincerely hope to hear from you.
In return I too will try my best to share my understanding of you through your posts.
Could I know through this post how do you perceive me?
Who am I ?

A child can teach us to love life
A child can remind us to be present in this now.
Nurturing a child is a learning
In resilience and responsibility.
Of our strengths & vulnerability.
Children are our teachers of tommorow.

Hands that help are holier than lips that pray 🙏
What is that makes you reach out to help?
Is it because of your nature or nurture?
What makes you stop yourself from reaching out ?
Is it fear of repercussions and ridicule
Only when the hands that help multiply in numbers…
Is there hope for the hurt ragged or bullied.
Every help every voice makes a difference
To someone somewhere.

I am because you are & we are because they are …
Let us all care to value the strength of the interconnects in the interdependence.
