All time companion
Courage of mind

Heavier than earth
Mother’s mind

Taller than sky
Father

Faster than wind
Mind

Grows faster than grass
Worries

Companion to one who leaves home
His education

Life lessons

Translated from Tamil by my mother.

What is poison?

Teacher
When we have something more than our needs it becomes poison. It can be power, wealth, love, hatred or even hunger.

Fear?

When we do not accept impermanence it becomes fear.when we accept impermanence it becomes adventure.

Jealousy?

When we are not ready to accept the goodness of others it becomes jealousy. When we start accepting it becomes a motivational force.

Anger?

When we cannot bear things happening beyond our control it becomes anger. When we start accepting it becomes tolerance.

Hatred?

Not accepting others as they are turns into hatred. Unconditional acceptance becomes love.

Acknowledge…

Musings on the Metaverse & More…

Acknowledge…

Betwixt and between
The you & I,
The us and the we,
Is a ocean of multiverses.
A tapestry of metaverses . Springing into existence
Creating connection
Beyond compare
Ingenious innovation
Reaching beyond the known
Forging ahead dimensions
Unfolding technology
With palpable sensations
Creating new possibilities
Exploring potential
Understanding elements
Of space, time and distance
Challenging norms
Quantifying needs & wants
Finding solutions
In a changing world
Simplifying complexities
In the realms of life & living.

Yet as this booming bubbles
Is it a catalyst of changes?
Some sensational and brilliant
Some scary & confounding
Simply know it’s on its way
And is here to stay
As our world will redefine
Life beyond existence…

Accept…
There is bound to be a boom
Colloidal chaos & confusion
In chasing an unreal world
And finding hope to live on
In the very illusions in making.

Know…
Everything life appears now
Is a momentary phenomenon. Of perceptions that deliver
The solutions for the soul.

On Optimism

Optimism

Musings on Positive Mindsetting and Optimism by my mother Anjana.

Love this piece by her.

Seeing the glass half full or half empty makes a lot of difference to your mind set. Positive thinking is not to ignore the negativities of
matters or situations. It is to see the options to overcome the obstacles in the best possible way. Seeing goodness and being positive reduces unnecessary stress and unwanted heaviness of heart. It lightens the mind, to a cheerful mood and to a healthy you.

Being positive does not erase the difficulties or seriousness of the problem. But when you look at the light out side the dark tunnel, finding ways to cross the darkness becomes easier. The severity of the dark cloud fades away when you have the bright Sun in your vision. A positive mind strengthens your will power to cope up in situations , reduces your stress level resulting in a healthier you, increases life span.

A positive mind can identify and filter the negative thoughts at its seed level and tries to steer away from it. Devoid of imaginary fears you can see problems at its reality with an optimistic mind. Approaching life, facing its realities with a positive attitude makes solutions easier. It gives you better resiliency over adversity, reduces depression, improves your immunity. When your mental strength is increased, it becomes easy to identify and manage challenges, to bring out best positive results.

A positive mind makes you more stronger, , more communicative, more people friendly, more humorous, & healthier. It makes you a better person to be with.
Always be positive, be happy, be healthy. Surround yourself with positive people.

On Success

You create the state of success,

And you never rest on your success.

Success is in the courage to continue,

Your perseverance, your passion and purpose.

Success is consistently inconsiderate.

Success demands much focus

As it supplies momentum

Beyond self-limitations and doubts.

True success is the knowing

In your heart of contentment

Of a life well-lived and loved.

Success is who you are.

Success is in each of us,

Awaiting a discovery —

An unearthing of potential

To sense life’s possibilities.

If you believe your abilities,

trust your instinct,

And give it your best shot;

Success is sure to follow.

Success is an interesting journey and not a destination.

The more you sense the bigger picture…

You lovingly loose yourself in something that is bigger than yourself…

The greater your energy and the closer you are to where you want to be.

Success is within each of us…

Waiting for us to make a move towards it.

On Respect

Respect your self

And show respect to others

In thoughts words & deeds

No matter how deserving

In empathy & compassion

It is a reflection of your nature

It speaks much of who you are.

Others will respect you.

When you respect self effort

As well as another’s

You reinforce self discipline

And let it guide manners

When you dont allow yourself

To be disrespected

None can take you for granted

Or behave as if you don’t matter.

Care to own your space in the sun.

Respectfully…

The world will be better by it.

Crack of dawn

Where light shines forth
There is always a crack
That has given way
An opening  that allows…
Light to shine through.

From darkness of night
Emerges a new dawn
In hope and deliverance.
With potential & possibilities.
Sense the cracking of dawn.

Peace Matters

Peace Matters

Much more than anything else

For without it

Success has no meaning

True success is…

When the heart & mind

Knows peace within

Success becomes meaningful

UNI VERSE

We are whole and complete

As ourselves in every cell of being

Yet we need each other

To live with and help arrive

To the best of ones potential.

We thrive as social beings

Feeding on each òthers energy

And exploring synergies

For each of us …

Are not just a life

Existing in this world

We are the uni verse by ourselves.

On Balance

A story from Mahabharata

Once Arjuna asked Krishna-
Madhav.. What is this ‘successful life’?

Krishna took Arjuna to fly kites.
Arjuna was watching Krishna carefully flying a kite.

After a while Arjuna said-

Madhav.. Because of this thread, the kite is not able to move freely and upwards, should we break it? It will go higher.

Krishna broke the thread..

The kite went up a little more and then came down after waving and fell at a distant unknown place…

Then Krishna explained the philosophy of life to Arjuna.
Parth.. ‘The height we are at in life..
We often feel that certain things to which we are tied are preventing us from going higher; like :
-House-
-family-
-Dicipline-
-mother-father-
-master-and-
-Society-

And we want to be free from them…

In fact, these are the threads – which keep us at that height.

‘Without these threads we will go up once, but later we will have the same fate that happened to a kite without thread…’

“So, if you want to remain on the top in life, then never break your relationship with these threads.”

The height attained by successful balance of thread and kite-like attachment is called ‘successful life..”

Life and living

Life and Living soulful stories share that come my way…

John D Rockfeller was once the richest man in the world. The first billionaire in the world. By age 25, he controlled one of the largest oil refineries in the US. By age 31, he had become the world’s largest oil refiner. By age 38, he commanded 90% of the oil refined in the U.S.
By 50, he was the richest man in the country. As a young man, every decision, attitude, and relationship was tailored to create his personal power and wealth.

But at the age of 53, he became ill. His entire body became racked with pain and he lost all of his hair. In complete agony, the world’s only billionaire could buy anything he wanted, but he could only digest soup and crackers. An associate wrote, He could not sleep, would not smile and nothing in life meant anything to him. His personal, highly skilled physicians predicted he would die within a year. That year passed agonizingly slowly.

As he approached death he awoke one morning with the vague realisation of not being able to take any of his wealth with him into the next world. The man who could control the business world suddenly realized he was not in control of his own life. He was left with a choice.

He called his attorneys, accountants, and managers and announced that he wanted to channel his Assets to Hospitals, Research, and Charity work. John D. Rockefeller
established his Foundation. This new direction eventually led to the discovery of penicillin, cures for malaria, tuberculosis and diphtheria. But perhaps the most amazing part of Rockefeller’s story is that the moment he began to give back a portion of all that he had earned, his
body’s chemistry was altered so significantly that he got better. It looked as if he would die at 53 but he lived to be 98. Rockefeller learned gratitude and gave back the vast majority of his wealth. Doing so made him whole. It is one thing to be healed. It is another to be made whole.

Before his death, he wrote this in his dairy, “The Supreme Energy taught me, that everything belongs to Him and I am only a channel to comply his wishes. My life has been one long, happy holiday; Full of work and full of play I dropped the worry on the way and God was
good to me every day.”

A profound message in those words.

This now

Sharing musings from my mother..

Life moves on

In carefreeness
In dreaming.
In reality.
In sensibility.
In witnessing.

Each phase like
the changing face
moves on
teaching new lessons

To adjust
To accommodate
To analyse
To be detached
To let go

The most valuable lesson
‘To be in the Now.’
Live every moment
As it never come twice

Never contemplating,
Never anticipating.
Valuing the PRESENT
As a precious Present.
Live the NOW

With joy and peace
As they are not
From outsourcing.
For they are in me

Never let the transcient changes affect,
Like water bubbles,
they come and go.
Like passing clouds
They disperse.

With compassion in heart,
With awareness in mind,
With realisation in soul

Be in the Now.
Be in Bliss.

Evolving with the changes.

The way we feel has much to do with the way we think
The way we think has much to do with the way we behave
The way we behave has much to do with our notions assumptions and perceptions.
And the way we are perceived  has much to do with the way we carry ourselves.
Our personality & attitude is our projection of our personas
Our nature is interweaved with the emotional state of being .
In acknowledging this…
Our life’s journey evolves in awareness.

What we say to ourselves
Is immensely impactful!
Lets understand the power
Within each of us.
Let’s review our internal dialogues…

When you are about to say
‘ Let me give up’
Change it to
Let me try again

When you think
I am not enough
Can you say
I am capable as I am.

When you fear failure
Can you learn from failure
And emerge stronger from the experience

Life truly has many  possibilities
For those who care to see
And acknowledge life’s lessons.

On perspectives

When you look at other people through a lens of compassion and understanding rather than judgment and jealousy, you are better able to see them for what they are—human beings.” ~ Unknown

The way we see the world
Changes our experiences
Lesser expectations
Greater contentment
Lesser assumptions & doubt
Greater trustfulness
Lesser hopelessness
Greater possibility
Lesser the complexity
Greater the clarity.
