It takes but one positive thought when given a chance to survive and thrive to overpower an entire army of negative thoughts. Robert H. Schuller
One positive thought The power of positive Adds life to the years Firms up the faith Heals with hope Brings trust in time Makes us believe again. So much to live for Than simply languish. Such is the power of positive thinking…
Steer your life for the better Think a positive thought
Well here is mine I think today is a beautiful day
Ask me whatever you want. Ten people asked their desires
First one Countless money & a big business to run
2nd one
The most powerful position in the world
3rd one I need fame & fortune like a topmost world famous actor
4th I have to become the most beautiful person that the whole world becomes mad after me
Like this each of the nine people asked their desires which God gave them immediately.
The tenth person asked I want the most contented , peaceful & blissful stage which a man can achieve.
The rest of the 9 looked at him laughing.
Peace of mind, contented heart.
For that only we asked whatever we wanted . When we get whatever we wanted peace & contentment will follow.
God looked at them and said I’ve given whatever you all wanted. Now you all can go.
The He turned towards the tenth person and said, ‘you wait here. I need to talk to you. I’ll come after some time. ‘ He left.
Now the rest of the 9 hesitated & stayed back so anxious to know what God is going to give him.
In spite of getting whatever they wanted they became jealous over the man who has not got anything till then.
As time passed, their anxiety grew & they forgot to enjoy what they have got. There went their peace & happiness.
The tenth man waited patiently. He became so peaceful & content that God is coming to talk with him.
Who are we. The tenth person or the rest . Decide.
Our thoughts decide who we are.

Have shared my artwork here for I felt it was apt for the story above, in depicting the 10th man who is at bliss and peace in the merging of thoughts in divine consciousness.
Sometimes life offers moments when you are pleasantly surprised.
It brings out the possibilities in you.
Creating joy, trust & faith.
Where you look forward to greet the next moment with hope
And other times there are raging storms
Where you are numbed down beyond compare
Where you are unsure of your next move
Trust time to free your mind of doubts
For there is always a reason why
Take every learning as a lesson for life
And know you will learn to weather the storm
Every storm, leaves you stronger than before.
For it leaves a more resilient you…
More capable, more confident more conscious
For you begin to acknowledge your own potential.
As you dare to meet the moments, you begin to meet the potential in you
Every moment makes you more you.
Life experiences can move us as it makes us. Every one has some moments that makes us smile and some that makes us stop and rethink… And in time we realise it was all necessary to make us realise our self.
Do you agree?
Can you remember one moment that made you smile from the heart?
Can you also think of moments, that made you question to understand life?
Sky above, earth below, and fire within, As I stand here, Under the canopy of twinkling stars in the sky, Sensing the nourishing earth under my feet, And the fire ablaze, in the spirit of my soul.
The fire within, I nurture , As passion that fuels, my soul A purpose that ignites, and a will to succeed, A heart that beats, a dream to be freed.
Watching the sky above, clouds floating by, Like a bird soaring I choose to fly, And I wonder of infinite possibilities, Until the setting sun, draws the moon at night.
I feel the fertile ground Sense the abundance of nature. A garden of life. In every breathing life, is a universe within, Bountiful beauty, to inspire dreams.
Sky above, earth below and fire within, A journey of life, with a prayer in hope To meet the mornings, awaiting the purpose of life. With the spirit ablaze in my beating heart.
Movements matter For the body never lies Whether you move with your thoughts, words or body.
It conveys the truth of you In more ways than you know Movements are unique to us For they are imprints of life
The body never lies they say Our movements convey the truth of our soul. As words flow… Writing reveals much about the writer In the words said and unsaid In the way the writer begins & ends In the choice of words itself…
But all said and done all writing, all creative arts can be cathartic experiences. The healing happens in the expression, in the letting go…
I write at leisure to relax and enjoy writing. It heals me. Perhaps if I am pressured to write I may not be feeling this way.
Sharing some stark truths of life that came my way on social media
Four Stages of Elimination in Life:
At 60, the workplace eliminates you. No matter how successful or powerful you were during your career, you’ll return to being an ordinary person. So, don’t cling to the mindset and sense of superiority from your past job, let go of your ego, or you might lose your sense of ease!
At 70, society gradually eliminates you. The friends and colleagues you used to meet and socialize with become fewer, and hardly anyone recognizes you at your former workplace. Don’t say, “I used to be…” or “I was once…” because the younger generation won’t know you, and you mustn’t feel uncomfortable about it!
At 80, family slowly eliminates you. Even if you have many children and grandchildren, most of the time you’ll be living with your spouse or by yourself. When your children visit occasionally, it’s an expression of affection, so don’t blame them for coming less often, as they’re busy with their own lives!
At 90, the Earth wants to eliminate you. Some of the people you knew have already departed forever. At this point, don’t be sad or mournful, because this is the way of life, and everyone will eventually follow this path!
Therefore, while our bodies are still capable, live life to the fullest! Eat what you want, drink what you desire, play and do the things you love.
Sharing a Tamil story translation by my mother Anjana.
I found this piece written by her today morning and shared as I felt many times we are ourselves in the way of our blessings. There is so much abundance, we are yet not ready to hear, take, care to see, that we miss partaking the joy of having them, often because our own ignorance, ego or lack of awareness comes in the way. All the abundance mean nothing if we are not ready to receive it.
Let’s be open ready to receive…
It was raining heavily. Grand mother was sitting in the verandah and her little granddaughter was playing nearby… So the grandmother told her granddaughter so much water is going waste,so keep a big vessel to fill clean water.
The girl who was playing refused to listen. So the grandmother noticed it and said sternly, Is just keeping the big vessel in the rain a big job? Go and keep it in the open. Grandma ordered. The girl went with half mind.
After some time when it stopped raining, Grandma got up to happily bring the vessel full of water. She was shocked to see ,not a drop of water was collected. The girl has kept the vessel upside down , just as it was kept inside!
Of course there was plenty of rain, but the vessel was not ready to collect a single drop.
Same like the Universe is filled with Divine blessings. But our hearts are not open to receive it. If we are ready with open heart the Cosmic Abundance will be in harmony with us.
If I were to keep feelings aside I would perhaps become cold And impersonal Perhaps I may function perfectly Like a robot. Wonder if I would be well at all For feelings are a great balancer.
To repress our feelings And take decisions would make our decisions lopsided.
I am therefore I feel I feel therefore I am.
Whether it’s personal or professional decisions, our feelings do make a difference and play a role in our decisions. We can perhaps bring to awareness how we are feeling in the Now and use this mindfully to bring a sense of balance in our thoughts & actions. But to think or say, we can be completely devoid of it is not necessarily true for we are built in such a way where our emotions, feelings and our thoughts in every moment is deeply interconnected, in more ways than one.
Feelings of empathy compassion and acts of kindness are deeply entwined.
How you are being in the now has much to do with how you are feeling.
To do anything well you need all of you & your senses to come together. How we choose to act upon our feelings and in what manner will depend on us.
Just a while ago, yesterday, few days ago, a week a few months or can’t remember the last time you were really angry?
There are many causes of anger and often, the root is in irritation, frustration neglect or abuse or even unfairness.
Often anger comes and goes…
But when you are unable To let go of habitual anger It’s a path of distress That leads to self destruction Anger poisons the mind & body Leading to rage when out of control. Yet, its part of being human.
Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned. Buddha
When anger has an emotional attachment and it gets difficult to let go easily. Mindfulness then is the path to emotional freedom.
Seneca the ancient Roman philosopher had a very relevant remedy for anger… He said, the greatest remedy for anger is delay.
How you choose to channel your thoughts And effectively manage anger Is what makes all the difference.
How do you express anger? Are you assertive or aggressive? This is what matters more More importantly when angry Can you say what’s on your mind Can you even speak in a clear way? Or are you emotions clouding you?
Perhaps you are suppressing anger Then chances are it may surge And unexpectedly so. So instead, can you channelize your anger? For then you control your anger Before it controls you.
