Regardless of outcomes you are thriving…in Gratitude for the lessons from life in the living.🙏
Winning at the Paralympics is no mean feat. I wonder why it gets second hand treatment and less attention in media compared to Olympics. Came across this news about a gold in mens badminton, it’s a proud moment for India no doubt.
And am in appreciation for the perseverance of these spirited warriors of sportsmanship. A testement to what the body achieves when the mind believes. May the spirit of sports shine through
Hope there is more support for every sport and sportsmen and here’s to celebrating them and their unwavering dedication to touch the pinnacle of success no matter the odds.
With much hope on the anvil this year India has sent its largest contingent to compared to Tokyo 2020 where India found much success
I wrote this poem below years ago. I had no idea about who Julia Hill was back then. And today I was reminded of my poem, when I came across her story. She is an American Activist who saved Luna the redwood tree by living in it to prevent loggers from cutting off the tree and refusing to backdown.
Today I dedicate this very poem to her and the likes of her and their unwavering spirit to save trees.
The Lady on the Tree.
In the centre of placid calm stands an angel of hope and resilience.
She has birds of hope surrounding her haloed presence.
Be like the lady on the tree.
In the stillness of the water… sensing your spirit feel so free,
Climb the tree in the serenity of the calm and unwind.
Bring composure to the cursory mind.
Move away from the mundane.
And feel more humane.
See the birds dancing by your side,
Singing their sweet songs of hope that will always reside!
Tread gently and softly move
In your journey as you find your groove.
Climb that tree and rest awhile.
Witness the water silently settle.
Renew your spirit and discover your mettle.
Delve in the solitude, seeking the clarity in the calm, unbound
I wrote this poem back in time after an unexpected opportunity to travel set me off across exploring unforgettable places and spaces on my own.
Yesterday as I was conversing with one of my earlier dance student and friend now, he somehow reminded me of this poem again , as he has been traveling the length and breadth of India on a bike, covering over 80% of India.
While I wait to see his photo shares and hear more from him about his experience in the journey.
Thought of sharing my verses again.
Travel On
If you are given an opportunity to take a journey
Take it, for you meet many versions of you.
Along the road.
Some you cherish, some cherish you.
Some that change you and some that you change.
Fear not the travel or the traveling…
For one thing is certain
You come away enriched and wiser in every journey.
Travel to liberate yourself From self assumed notions To see the light on the other side There is much to unlearn and unbox As you travel yield in to the insights Travel every once in a while if opportunity arises,
Take the chance, You are richer in your explorations much as your experiences. Travel on …
