We are all born with them
Love, and kindness
Care & compassion
Our feelings and emotions
Our heart shows the way
In our thoughts & our actions
It’s upto us , in our lives
To find them & nurture them.

This now is a dance
Whirling in between
The then and the forthcoming
The sun moon and stars
Too make their presence felt
Swirling in their cosmic paths
This you is swaying to life
Listen keen as the sands sing
Hear the whistling winds
They like you have a reason to be
In this now being where they are
Just like you right here in this now.

What makes me feel peaceful ?
Just spending time with our little furball combing his long coat every other day makes me feel peaceful.
A little moment every now and then writing my thoughts down feels peaceful
Spending time alone witnessing the stillness of the breath or practicing Qi Gong in the garden with green trees for company makes me feel peaceful.
Meditative moments especially at home in front a Buddha statue makes me feel peaceful.
Painting and dancing without an agenda, on my own, whenever I wish to, makes me feel peaceful.
But most of all…
Living in the now, without too many expectations makes me peaceful ✌️

Thomas Merton
So a long long time ago when I started sharing my writing skills, I received a beautiful message from a reader, who also introduced Thomas Merton, the poet & monk to me. I was intrigued by his words. And went on to read more. For back then I didn’t know who Thomas Merton was and had never heard or come across his works.
This morning I came across the above quote, another gem of a quote from the mystical light of this soul…
There are some souls whose works strike a deep chord without ever meeting them… you sense a connection in their words..
I am grateful in all humility to have come across the profoundness of these kindred spirits. 🙏
Light is only light as long as you can see it.
Else there at most the anticipation of light.
What you see as light
Is your choice
For it is your point of view
But if light is a sense
Of the tingling warmth
Or scorching heat
Or the tenderness of touch
Light is sensed in its glow
Then light is a feeling
In the sensing
Of its so called attributes
Associated by you.
Then it’s your point of sense
What you see
What you feel
What you sense
Is a dance of illusions
Of the perception
All within you!
So is light light?
And is dark dark at all?
It is all in you!

Soothing the spirit
Calming the senses
A river of joy flows through
In the sweet sounds of music
Memories of many melodious moments
Fleeting by in the harmony of the flow…

With the same thoughts

There is something about sound
That the world again is waking up to these days…
Wherever you go
You hear the sounds of music
Healing through harmony
And the magic in the melodies.
Reviving and regenerating us
All is in the energy of the sounds.
Sounds that move us within & beyond
All effects of resonance in our cells
Sensing the sounds in stillness
Sensing in the movements too…
Music heals the spirit & soul.
Such is the power of sound.

It felt as if we exchanged a moment of poignant connection that jumped time. For in that one moment words touched heartsfields. where feelings are relatable. In empathy or synchrony…
It is certainly not something new, for it is something we all undergo as writers and readers. A connection, through mere words but that which feels you know… the spirit, and soul of the hand that pens the verses or the heart that emotes in the reading.
And these are moments that make
Words come alive & speak
From a place of knowing
Far beyond mere words
Beyond the writer or reader.
As if it’s meant to be
As if it’s meant to connect.
These are moments…
Sparking the dance of divinity
Of the inexplicable serendipity
In Sensing Oneness in humanity.

For we are often not ready

Letting go of insecurity that is holding you back

Letting go to create space for something new

Like a breath taken

As you inhale, live life

My painting ‘Blessings’, came to me almost as a flow… It spoke much to me as I brushed in serenity-of-silence with the colours it was as if it was meant to manifest itself and all along I sensed I was simply a channel.
