Is all an illusion in the reflection?

Trust, that you are Chosen
To take a step towards change
To be the peaceful warrior
Who can brave new frontiers
With acts of kindness
And words of positivity
In goodwill do deeds for humanity
Bringing forth the best you can
And you truly can
Then every day feels meaningful
And with every now purposeful
You begin to understand
Who you truly are.

People we happen to meet
Are perhaps meant to be met
And then there are people
We intend and choose to meet
It takes will and effort
Of commitment to a connection.
And when it comes to managing it
Care & connect from all of you!
For even a single moment of authentic connection
In thoughts words and deeds
Is enough to make a indelible heart print.
No matter your crazy schedules
You create a bond lasting a lifetime…

Creativity: A matter of approach.
What makes a job well done ?
What makes excellence a standard?
What makes one stand out a cut above the rest ?
What is aesthetics after all?
What differentiates the good better and the best?
All is a matter of approach in every field of life. A shift in the perspectives brings home the amazing solutions. An approach that is creatively expansive than confounding, opens a box of possibilities .

We are all equipped to reach out into our own creative potential by just empowering ourselves with techniques of approaching a situation at hand.

Every one of us is endowed with the potential to develop our artistic abilities and approach with a creative eye.

It’s a matter of putting the principles into practise and taking that giant leap of faith.
What is your attitude & approach to life today?
What are you going to create for yourself in this now?

Whenever spirituality is discussed… there is always a question as to what is spirituality? And what is its significance in our lives?
Spirituality is a sensing of connection. The first step towards spirituality is about understanding the self as we are and then it’s an understanding of something greater than the self.
Simply put the spiritual significance of our lives is in the way we choose to live our lives.
To me spirituality is a sense of being & becoming a better person than yesterday, in selfawareness,in empathic connection, in being compassionate and kinder human being.
There are many pathways to explore spirituality and it’s unique to each of us.
It’s a pathway to finding the truth of your being and living life lovingly!
From yoga and movement arts to prayer and divination, the way we approach spiritual practices is varied and as unique as us.
What is spirituality to you?
Do you consider yourself a spiritual person?
What are your kind of spiritual practices?

Some times life comes to a still.
That may be be Him testing will.
When we are low,
When we feel let down,
When we feel desperate,
when we feel alone, when we feel all doors are closed,
When life seems to have no meaning,
Never loose hope.
The master plan of Nature,
Is beyond our cognition.
The way will open up,
In any form, any time.
All we need is hope n faith.
Patience n perceverance.
The effort will pay off.
For He knows the right time and the right way.
Cos that’s
His Master plan.
Sharing this message of hope penned by my mother Anjana as a testement of faith and trust in the divinity providence.

Meditation is simply
A dedication of time
For your own self care.
It’s a way to tune inwards
In witness mode.
In the stillness as the mind quietens
Begins the path of your own
In self – expansion beyond self- limitations
Meditation is a choice you make
Unfolding the limitless potential you hold within.

Life as a couple
Has its own challenges
Yet what matters is trust
In a loving relationship.
Trust that makes you feel safe
That makes you sense security
And value for being you.
To be heard, & loved as you are.
Often expectations from one partner
To toe the line and accept everything
Brings in uncomfortable silences
Or unwanted arguments and conflicts
Breaking a relationship gradually.
Perhaps it is about negligence
Or lack of consideration & care
Perhaps it’s about lack of empathy
Or even inequality that creates a gap
That widens in time and cracks
The strongest of partners.
Compromise or need
May keep them staying together
Just existing not living a life.
The show goes on…
Until it one day becomes unbearable.
And the inevitable truth tumbles.
These words above are deeply interlinked in the flow of thoughts that arose after I read a translation by my mother from a Tamil quote forwarded on Social media.
Interesting to note it is from a divorced husband after 10 years of realization.
‘Don’t show your pride before your wife.
She came to you just believing in you
Not your relatives.
My property
My earnings
My will
Then who is she?
What is the meaning of her life with you?
Can’t she have her dreams, her desires, to be fulfilled with you?
On reading this message
Something more rankled my mind
The question of expectations
To be fulfilled by the partner.
It’s never about needs
Being fulfilled by the other
But with one another.
In todays world
It’s about finding time
To be present in the now
With one another.
How many agree?

Anger is a burning coal
Destroying the one holding it
Choose to be less worked up
And let go of the little things.
Life makes things better

Anger is a powerful emotion
That is unpredictable by nature
Expression is the first step
To channelize anger issues
Secondly choosing to shift attention
To focus on something positive
Helps to channelize the anger within
This helps in converting anger
To constructive behavior.
Thirdly conscious deep breathing
Ensuring a sense of calm
Adapting to change is another way
By doing a bit of rethinking
To find a new sense of perspective
Helps to see the reasoning well.

Anger may stem from deep resentment, held unexpressed for a very long time. Often it may surface in memory associations quite unexpectedly. Or it may be come from bitterness or unfairness meted out.
When angry, it is difficult to breathe, forget think. As all the pent up frustrations get mixed up with emotions and feelings causing an outburst.
Management of anger is difficult as you do not know when you are going to get angry next.
But tapping into mindful awareness, of the signs of anger and dispassionately working towards steps that channelize the feeling of anger in practical ways to release the pent up frustrations begins to help manage anger gradually.
There are many therapies for anger management but it’s important to find one that is suitable to you.
When was the last time you got angry?
How did you express it?
Did you feel bad after the episode of anger?
Do you remember the emotions that you went through when you were angry?
More importantly did you do anything about your anger?
Who doesn’t get angry I wonder. As anger is necessary evil as it is meant to be a vent for any built up steam.
Management of anger starts with acknowledgement and awareness of the issue at hand.
Personally walking, dancing painting writing and solitude top my ways of channelizing anger. I find myself calmer and relaxed and in a happier state post a dance session or after writing or creating an artwork.
I also like to do work that requires organisation like folding clothes arranging things to get me back to equilibrium.
How do you channelize your anger?

Art of creativity emanates from self belief in the creative capabilities within.
Creating anything
Requires trustfulness
Needs effort and focus
And ability to adapt.
A willingness to attempt
Acceptance of errors
And perseverance to go on
To the shifting perspectives
In creative associations
Adding curiousity of a child
Of awe, wonder & joy.
To allow the self
Body mind & spirit
To think like a creator
Is to acknowledge
That within us rests
Possibilities in potential
Of creative capabilities.

Nature of humans
Nurtured in love
Seeding compassion
Watered in hope
Reared in kindness
Strengthened in trustfulness
Rooted in connectedness
Fortified in faith.
Sustains humanity.

A few musings…
Where is humanity in this now?
What does it take for humanity to thrive?
How does it continue to thrive?
Touched by the grace of gratitude
Appeased in the love for life
Moving beyond the self in inclusivity
In thoughts, words and deeds.
Humanity continues to thrive…
In moments of humility, kindness & compassion
In help, care, support & empathy
And yet it takes us all
Each and every one of us
To consistently sustain our humanity.

We are on track
Nurturing humanity
In every moment
Through connections
Through art & creativity
To journey into the beyond
From nothing to something
To transcend beyond the mundane
Of notions and assumptions
To envision in empowering ways
Beyond rational thinking
To rediscover aesthetics of truth.
