Expression

How are you in this moment ?

Are you ok?

Every once in a while

Just ask yourself  these simple questions.

And let yourself  answer

As the thoughts flow

Jot them down

There is much healing

In the journaling of thoughts

In expressing your feelings

On paper or to another

In simply voicing it out

Giving a path to let the steam off.

Build yourself  up with care

Connect with a deeper breath

And listen keen as you exhale.

As you externalize, you create space

And understand yourself more.

Strung ?

A stringed existence ?

While poetically speaking, or at theoretical physics, all of life is interconnected

Have you felt like you are strained, exhausted to the point of  emptiness?

Have you reached a point of burnout with visible signs of overwhelm?

Have you sensed the strong pull from various directions?

Some from strings you have given yourself a connection to.

Some of which, you are innately  connected since you were born.

Do you feel the pressure and need to resist some strings

And have you noticed how you are managing it all?

Have you been able to live your life at all or  just simply existing  or day to another?

Time for some thought in this direction…

Sharing a thoughtworthy quote  from my readings this morning.

“We have a tendency to put ourselves last. We concentrate on everything else; work, friends, family, home issues, but we ignore the deeper stuff until it becomes so compressed that it can explode.”
Cecelia Ahem

I ❤️ it  for it is a great reminder  for all of us.

Self care needs to be considered as a priority practice rather than just a once in a while thing you do.

If we truly care to check in,  we can catch the many signs &  signals through which our body is already  communicating to us.. And how we are dealing with it all.

While being connected is great, we all need some space for reflection. A space to grow from awe and wonder.

A space for stillness in spite of the movements.

Some  moments to gather ourselves from where we are to reset ourselves.

Affirm the good

On Managing Behaviour

Whether as a parent, a partner, a teacher, a manager or leader, we all come across challenges in behavior.

Here are few pointers…

Being  critical is easier

Being an example is what matters

To pave the path of positive change

Affirm the good with consistency

Appreciate a deed well done

Behavior transforms in time.

Acknowledge

As humans we are always exploring and discovering  possibilities. Sometimes we understand  much in no time, and take the right steps, and at other times we mis the bus.

Acknowledge the wins  & the  misses.

Every step missed is brimming with a lesson.

If we choose to pay attention every failure teaches us something.

On where we want to be,

On how far we are, from where we want to go.

Question is are we ready to acknowledge  failure as  a part of the learning process?

Every success  can be attributed  to the  many experiences that may have had many lessons  and the effort taken to succeed.

And if there is propensity  and determination to take the effort, there are many pathways  that lead us beyond failure.

I like this saying by Mary Ash, I came across  recently which presents a fresh perspective on failure.

‘For every failure, there’s an alternative course of action. You just have to find it. When you come to a roadblock, take a detour.’

Acknowledge where and how you are.

You will find your own path.

Thriving rich?

Being rich is living life exploring and discovering all your possibilities of your potential

Being rich is being able to realize the potential of you.

Being rich is being ready to sense the abundance that is.

Money is not necessarily the only factor for your worth.

Your worth is being all that you are.

You are rich in knowing your worth.

Be enriched in health wealth & prosperity but most of all be rich in the heart and mind.

In realization of the contentment of what you have, you are truly rich!

On Commitment

An interesting  quote on relationships  I read this morning…

The relationship between commitment and doubt is by no means an antagonistic one. Commitment is healthiest when it’s not without doubt but in spite of doubt.

Rollo May

As I reflected on the above words  a few thoughts came to me…

On life and relationships

Is there an interplay of doubt and commitment?

Is there commitment when in doubt?

What happens when doubt creeps in the committed?

Whenever they intersect there are conflicts

Whether at opposition or not

Both are in thoughts

Dashing from one extreme to another

At times contradicting at times rationalising

And returning back to apparent normalcy

When doubt dances in, commitment feels the burn

When commitment is strong, doubt rests on the back burner.

Have always felt there needs to be trust in a relationship as much as compromise else even the strongest of relationships fall apart.

What are your thoughts ? Do share.

A calmer perspective

I have received this poem below through a  social media forward.

And I think I needed to read it today.

It put many things in perspective.

You see, there have been some small and inexpensive things missing at home . We have two house helpers And I was not sure who is the culprit.

They have been with us for a while and I have senior parents who live at home  so I was letting it go and keep calm,  because it was easier as it was causing a lot of unnecessary confusion and doubt.

In the meantime two months ago I replaced one of them.  And I had felt a sense of relief somehow. And today the other is about to go  on  leave for the customary annual holiday.  It will mean a lot of work for me  personally until I find a helper. Yet I have been feeling positive that better is happening and all is for a good reason.  Sometimes we grin and bear for the fear of changing statesquo…

While I cannot get my lost things as I have no proof, I think I needed a calm perspective to  help me find me a way…

While I do believe that we must take action on that which is within our control , these words touched a chord in me..

This being human is a guest house.

Every morning a new arrival.

A joy, a depression, a meanness,

some momentary awareness comes

as an unexpected visitor.

Welcome and entertain them all!

Even if they are a crowd of sorrows,

who violently sweep your house

empty of its furniture,

still, treat each guest honorably.

He may be clearing you out

for some new delight.

The dark thought, the shame, the malice.

Meet them at the door laughing and invite them in.

Be grateful for whatever comes.

Because each has been sent

as a guide from beyond.

Thank your worries

As life can be truly challenging

We all have worried about it

Yet worries don’t change things

Acting on the issues does.

So instead of worrying today

Whenever  you begin to worry

Can you thank your worry

For trying to be helpful ?

And remember to make it a habit.

If you realise you are worrying

Work on worry everytime

Thank it again & again.

It is simple to do yet impactful.

Sometimes as perspectives shift

Solutions, find space to emerge.

Thoughtworthy

Here’s a thoughtworthy share

Air Commodore Vishal was a Jet Pilot. In a combat mission his fighter plane was destroyed by a missile. He however ejected himself and parachuted safely. He won acclaims and appreciations from many.

After five years one day he was sitting with his wife in a restaurant. A man from another table came to him and said “You’re Captain Vishal ! You flew jet fighters. You were shot down!”

“How in the world did you know that?” asked Vishal.

“I packed your parachute,” the man smiled and replied.
Vishal gasped in surprise and gratitude and thought if parachute hadn’t worked, I wouldn’t be here today.

Vishal couldn’t sleep that night, thinking about that man. He wondered how many times I might have seen him and not even said ‘Good morning, how are you?’ or anything because, he was a fighter pilot and that person was just a safety worker”

So friends, who is packing your parachute?
Everyone has someone who provides what they need to make it through the day.

We need many kinds of parachutes– we need the physical parachute, the mental parachute, the emotional parachute, and the spiritual parachute.
We call on all these supports before reaching safety.

Sometimes in the daily challenges that life gives us, we miss what is really important.

We may fail to say hello, please, or thank you, congratulate someone on something wonderful that has happened to them, give a compliment, or just do something nice for no reason.

As you go through this week, this month, this year, recognize the people who pack your parachute.
Happy New Year
❤️

Happy New Year 2025

Wishing and intending  for wonderful New year ahead…

On Intentions  and Actions

Whenever we want or intend for something  we must also be ready to do something  about it.

Here are few ‘Wants ‘and Intentions and what one can to do about it.

If you want happiness  try making another happier.

True joy comes to you when you serve another.

Serve yourself  some laughter if you want your spirit to feel free.

Fill your day with Gratitude whenever you are looking  for Abundance.

And if you want friendship to manifest  in life why not start by being your own best friend.

If you are searching for love why not begin to love your self ♥️

Also, choose to take a walk in nature if you are intending for some more insightful  perspectives .

I for one can vouch for the creative ideas and reflections that a simple walk brings to me.

Have a beautiful  blessed

New  year 2025

Live life lovingly!

Evolving with the changes

Wisdom continues to evolve

As change is the only constant

Knowing is never enough

Discerning knowledge with application makes all the difference.

Age of Aquarius

Some see it as the Age of the Aquarius, a dawn of enlightenment, but it is also a sign of changing times when there is greater access to knowledge and increased interest in holistic & spiritual practices and greater receptivity & awareness of values of empathy compassion and collaboration and therein interconnections.

Speaking of technology its transformations, while we are better informed, the human aspect of intuitive and ethical considerations play a significant role in understanding and application of this new age wisdom.

Now, this rise of a new age of wisdom could also mean more inclusive and divergent thinking in a more conscious and enlightened world.

The question then is, what resonates within and what we choose to do with it.

Living life, learning…

In a conflict ridden world

All we can do, is to learn

What not to do…

For we are not the only ones here

There was life before us & after us

There is life in and around  us

And we need to value life

That will manifest after us

And acknowledge what is

And do whatever we can

To save the only world we have.

On Wisdom

What to speak of wisdom?

Tommorows wisdom

Is open to learn

From the errors in this now.

In the listening, in the living

In the feeling in the sensing.

So much to understand…

Question remains are we open

to acknowledge  the misses,

as a part of being human ?

Are we ready to receive

from these experiences…

Seeking wisdom in the lessons.

Inside Outside

Today I thank in gratitude

The power of the mind

The heart and the spirit

Our body is blessed

With many gifts of the soul

Which we are yet discovering

The strength of intentions

The power of intuition

Of conscious awareness

In practice of mindfulness

Of possibilities in our potential

In the movements of stillness

In the stillness of moves

In the silence of meditation

All, in this journey within

Betwixt inside outside & beyond…
