When was the last time you got really angry?
Just a while ago, yesterday, few days ago, a week a few months or can’t remember the last time you were really angry?
There are many causes of anger and often, the root is in irritation, frustration neglect or abuse or even unfairness.
Often anger comes and goes…
But when you are unable
To let go of habitual anger
It’s a path of distress
That leads to self destruction
Anger poisons the mind & body
Leading to rage when out of control.
Yet, its part of being human.

Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.
Buddha
When anger has an emotional attachment and it gets difficult to let go easily. Mindfulness then is the path to emotional freedom.
Seneca the ancient Roman philosopher had a very relevant remedy for anger… He said, the greatest remedy for anger is delay.

How you choose to channel your thoughts
And effectively manage anger
Is what makes all the difference.
How do you express anger?
Are you assertive or aggressive?
This is what matters more
More importantly when angry
Can you say what’s on your mind
Can you even speak in a clear way?
Or are you emotions clouding you?
Perhaps you are suppressing anger
Then chances are it may surge
And unexpectedly so.
So instead, can you channelize your anger?
For then you control your anger
Before it controls you.

Beauty is what beauty feels
Continuing in a series on Life and Living … The subject of Beauty brings to mind its paradox As mentioned in my last article I would like to reflect on this with my readers and fellow writers and work in collaboration towards a certain consensus if attainable .
Here is a beautiful reflection of the thoughts of this reader who starts by visualizing in the vebalisation of the beauty in the elemental awareness of nature and culminates her standpoint in the beauty of nurture…
Of a mother and child and the beauty in a loving heart.
Thank you to my dear mother Anjana for your exemplary examples. Rest assured I certainly will be reading these lines often.

“Anything that pleases the eye is beautiful..How much exquisite or breath-taking the physical beauty may be… it’s just skin deep. Beyond that all is same.

A wise soul has this awareness. Though the elements may be the same, their arrangement makes the difference. But there is beauty in the wilderness too.

The dancing flames of fire, the eruptive flowing and glowing lava of the volcono, the blowing sand making patterns on the sands of deserts, the mystery that lies in the underground caves, in the depths of the oceans, in the vast space that surround us , there is beauty in everything. A thing of beauty is a joy for ever.

Above all beauty has a connection with love in the heart. Even the so assumed ugliest child looks beautiful to it’s mother. After all beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. Can anything be more beautiful than a compassionate and kind heart that sees goodness in all.”
The lines above have an sensitive emotive and reflective quality which is engagingly beautiful to me.

Sabhar The way of patience in waiting
Shukar The way of thankfulness in gratitude
There is great wisdom in these two ways to live life lovingly.
Both are pathways in the ebb and flow of life.
To see from nothingness
Is to see possibilities ahead.
To keep hope alive in your heart. Cultivate faith in patience and trust.
To sense gratitude even when you have everything, Is to know that there is much more than what is visible. You are a tiny speck of the magnificent whole. And no life is less or more important. And that every life plays a significant part.
In awareness there is heartfelt thankfulness in contentment for everything you already have.
As you cultivate these habits every day becomes incrementally better.
Or perhaps you begin to understand gradually, the power of managing change rests within you.
Stay patient
Trust yourself.
In thankfulness
See the light
You actually are.

The path of compassion knows not separateness
Flowing in love of life in lightness
In the sparks of surging intuition
To be tender & move with compassion
Beyond mankind to all living being.
In the depths of compassion is an understanding
Of another soul in recognition
And sensing the joy and sorrows in reflections.
So join in to experience in embrace of compassion
Beyond intellect and reason and other egoistic delusions
Join the circle of conscious compassion.
Unite with single minded purpose of communion.
Share without fear or favour
All that you divinely revere
As every journey is a reunion
Of the spirit to another in Godliness .
The energy from such an authentic action
Creates oneness and peace
In and around us.
And a sense of belonging
To this vast wide world
Comes in the knowing
Of our owing to this
world and the beings around us.
We are not alone ever …
Works like a prayer…
For life to have meaning.

This world…
Needs no pity
That feels sorry
Nor sympathy
That feels pain.
For feeling sorry
Or sensing pain
Will not solve
The issues at hand.
What one life truly needs from another…
Is empathy
To understand and relate with one another.
And compassion
That cares to help heal.
Whenever wherever
the dialogue changes
From I feel sorry,
To I will help you
Because I care…
The world will be a better place.
For action speaks louder than words.

There is a time and reason for every season
For if all the seasons manifested together
There would be calamity.
There is always a reason to things
To questions and answers
If every lifes purpose asserted itself in this now.
There would be no tommorow…
Life is meant to go on
To live and learn
To explore and discover
To hope and await
To look forward to…
So acknowledge the learnings that happen
In a lifetime…
All at the right time.

In being yourself
You will know
You are enough
To be all that you are
Be you
That’s what u are meant to be
When you arrive at being comfortable being yourself, and in front of others, your gifts will shine through and you will make a positive impact on this world.
All it takes is being the authentic you!

Ever Grateful for a powerful caption that once caught my eye
“Don’t bite more than you can chew….”
Denotes the wisdom of moderation in life and living. To know a cut off point
Is to know where to draw the line between exhaustion and excitement.
Simply taking on more work or responsibility or trying to multitasking beyond your abilities and capacities is self defeating.
So only commit to what you truly can deliver .
Not less not more.
So grateful to have read this many years ago and consistently practice this learning.
Happy to share this piece of advice that is my mindful reminder before taking on more.

We are uniquely ordained by nature yet so very interconnected that we can find versions of ourselves time and time again as reflections in the resonance.
For what we see in another is a reflection of our own lives, that is unique yet self similar in manifestations .

We all duel and pass through these reflections in our lives at different times in our own special ways.

Every life has its own reason to be. A purpose of being. Every life has its own story Every life unfolds in its own way.

How can we be more spiritually aware?
Allocating time for a daily practice of breath awareness through meditation
Bringing forth the value of Love in our relationships.
Sensing the strength of the interconnects.
Through cultivation of Gratitude,
Along with a practice of Empathy, which also aids in the development of emotional intelligence…
All these are stepping stones towards spirituality.

A flower doesn’t stop being beautiful just because somebody walks by without noticing it, nor does it cease to be fragrant if its scent is taken for granted. The flower just continues to be its glorious self: elegant, graceful, and magnificent.
Our Mother Nature has provided us with these immeasurably valuable teachers that blossom despite their short lifespan, stars that continue to shine even if we fail to stare at them, and trees that don’t take it personally if we never bow down in gratitude for the oxygen they provide.
We also have an incredible and unlimited capacity to love, but the question is: Can we do it like a flower? Without needing to be admired, adored, or even noticed? Can we open our hearts completely to give, forgive, celebrate, and joyfully live our lives without hesitation or need for reciprocity?
It seems like sometimes we go beyond taking things personally and are noticeably deflated when unappreciated. In fact, devastated, we wilt in sorrow and then attempt to guard ourselves by withholding, using all sorts of protections and defenses. We get hurt (even angry) if our boss fails to recognize an astonishing feat, if a lover pulls their hand away, or when a friend forgets our birthday. Can you imagine a flower copping an attitude for not being praised, or the moon dimming its glow because we’re too self-absorbed to notice it more often?
Make an effort to shine NO MATTER WHAT, to love unconditionally, and to be a kind and gentle soul (even when nobody is watching).
And, if you’re so inclined, hug the next tree you see and say, “Thank you!”

Think One positive thought
In an array of thoughts
Imagine it and it manifests
And every time you do
Know you are creating joy
Within and around you.

Laugh more
Live vibrantly
Life is precious
Let there be care
In how we treat ourselves
As much as others.
