Life hands many a tough lessons in our journeys. But to strive to be strong and tread through it all, not just by surviving the ordeals but thriving takes inner strength in conviction. It helps to focus on your sense of purpose if you have deciphered it by now, else take each moment as momentary. Know the pain you feel in this now will be gone in the next. This attitude takes you on a spiritual path of letting go. It makes a profound impact in life as you continue to practise regularly. Regardless of outcomes you are thriving…in Gratitude for the lessons from life in the living.🙏
I wrote this poem back in time after an unexpected opportunity to travel set me off across exploring unforgettable places and spaces on my own.
Yesterday as I was conversing with one of my earlier dance student and friend now, he somehow reminded me of this poem again , as he has been traveling the length and breadth of India on a bike, covering over 80% of India.
While I wait to see his photo shares and hear more from him about his experience in the journey.
Thought of sharing my verses again.
Travel On
If you are given an opportunity to take a journey
Take it, for you meet many versions of you.
Along the road.
Some you cherish, some cherish you.
Some that change you and some that you change.
Fear not the travel or the traveling…
For one thing is certain
You come away enriched and wiser in every journey.
Travel to liberate yourself From self assumed notions To see the light on the other side There is much to unlearn and unbox As you travel yield in to the insights Travel every once in a while if opportunity arises,
Take the chance, You are richer in your explorations much as your experiences. Travel on …
This morning a refreshing conversation with my mother triggered a series of thoughts on different directions in Hindu Scriptures.
Usually there are eight directions depicted in any compass.
She shared how there are ten mentioned directions in the Hindu scriptures and named each of them. Besides the four cardinal and four ordinal directions it’s interesting to note the two additional directions are Urdhva the highest point symbolizes by creator (Brahma) Zenith and Adhah the opposite represented by (Vishnu) the preserver, which call the Nadir.
It was intriguing to note how these preordained guardians of our galaxies play a significant role in Astrology and Cosmology with insights on how everything connects in life and living.
I started researching further trying to understand more. I came across this interesting share…
‘It’s quite intriguing to note how much effort our ancestors put into demystifying the elements of nature & their impact on us,’
I highlighted this line in the above informative article, because the more you learn of this vast ocean of scriptures you realise there is another horizon of understanding that beckons.
But one thing leads to another…
And that’s how the path of learning grows. And everything connects….
In a group setting as a life coach it is important to balance power dynamics.
It is important to create a space of mutual respect and understanding.
Being inclusive creates an expansion of thoughts and ideas in openness tolerance and acceptance of new possibilities.
In a group setting it is important to hold space by balancing participation through inclusive ways like encouragement appreciation and rewarding contributions. This ensures the power dynamics are kept in check by empathic approach and moderation by allowing space for all to speak up, so as to prevent lopsided conversations.
Have you had any such experience as a team member ?
Do share your experiences of power dynamics at play in group setting.
Inculcating a habit of listening to music regularly, or even practicing music by learning to sing or playing an instrument, can improve your creativity.
Learning anything new can spark new neural pathways and bridge old learnings in associations to ignite unique creative expressions.
As far as music it is a holistic experience with benefits much beyond its entertainment factor. The right music can heal and regenerate cells in our body.
Music can be a healing medicine for the body, mind and spirit. Personally, like for many of you, I love many art forms, like music, dance and painting, writing and singing because they have an immensely positive effect on me. It makes me whole again, ready to face a new day… For instance, I am fond of different types of music at different times of the day…often I sense how refreshed I feel after listening or singing to them.
At home every once in a while my daughter and I find singing mashups of old and new songs together on the Karaoke very rejuvenating…One thing leads to another, humming or singing some melodies while going through the day, makes the moments feel light. I also find listening to gentle, soft instrumental music while painting very enjoyable.
What are your experiences with music?
When was the last time you heard your favorite songs?
When did you do something creative while listening to music?
