The hand that rocked your cradle

The hand that claps in your every  success

The hand that blesses you with unconditional love 

Is the hand of your dear mother

A hand worth kissing in gratitude and respect always & forever.

Those who have lost a loved one feel a deep sense of loss, while others who hold them close often complain about them. Those who do not have a partner yearn for him, but those who have, sometimes do not value him. The hungry would give anything for a plate of food, while the well-fed complains about the taste. The one who doesn’t have a car dreams, while the one who has one is always looking for a better one. The key is to be grateful, look carefully at what we have and understand that somewhere, someone would give everything for what you already have and don’t appreciate.”

Handling Difficult People

If ever you are in a position where you are hurt and helpless and want to help yourself out of this situation  check on your own behavior

Are you speaking and sharing   more than you should?

Are you over explaining and try to match up to anothers expectations and not valuing your own strengths?

Are you defending yourself  when the other person  refuses to understand  anothers perspective?

Are you too sensitive and taking things personally  when actually  the source of the issues or the problem is not you at all?

Often  it is self awareness that is the first step towards bettering your life.

A self check to see your reactions  is definitely a way to improving  how you handle and manage difficult people in life.

Tbe way to make life favorable  to you , is in living as if all is rigged in  your favor.

Kindred spirits

Pride makes us artificial

Humility makes us real

Thomas Merton

So a long long time ago when I started sharing my writing skills, I received a beautiful message from a reader, who also introduced Thomas Merton, the poet & monk to me. I was intrigued by his words. And went on to read more. For back then I didn’t know  who Thomas Merton was and had never heard or come across his works.

This morning I came across  the above quote, another gem of a quote from the mystical light of this soul…

There are some souls whose works strike a deep chord without ever meeting them… you sense a connection in their words..

I am grateful in all humility to have come across the profoundness of these kindred spirits. 🙏
