I wrote this poem below years ago. I had no idea about who Julia Hill was back then. And today I was reminded of my poem, when I came across her story. She is an American Activist who saved Luna the redwood tree by living in it to prevent loggers from cutting off the tree and refusing to backdown.
Today I dedicate this very poem to her and the likes of her and their unwavering spirit to save trees.
The Lady on the Tree.
In the centre of placid calm stands an angel of hope and resilience.
She has birds of hope surrounding her haloed presence.
Be like the lady on the tree.
In the stillness of the water… sensing your spirit feel so free,
Climb the tree in the serenity of the calm and unwind.
Bring composure to the cursory mind.
Move away from the mundane.
And feel more humane.
See the birds dancing by your side,
Singing their sweet songs of hope that will always reside!
Tread gently and softly move
In your journey as you find your groove.
Climb that tree and rest awhile.
Witness the water silently settle.
Renew your spirit and discover your mettle.
Delve in the solitude, seeking the clarity in the calm, unbound
Acknowledge… Betwixt and between The you & I, The us and the we, Is a ocean of multiverses. A tapestry of metaverses Springing into existence Creating connection Beyond compare Ingenious innovation Reaching beyond the known Forging ahead dimensions Unfolding technology With palpable sensations Creating new possibilities Exploring potential Understanding elements Of space, time and distance Challenging norms Quantifying needs & wants Finding solutions In a changing world Simplifying complexities In the realms of life & living.
Yet as this booming bubbles Is it a catalyst of changes? Some sensational and brilliant Some scary & confounding. Simply know it’s on its way And is here to stay As our world will redefine Life beyond existence…
Accept… There is bound to be a boom Colloidal chaos & confusion In chasing an unreal world And finding hope to live on In the very illusions in making.
Know… Every thing life appears now Is a momentary phenomenon.
Of perceptions that deliver The solutions for life in the soul.
Every bit of sharing Every bit of appreciation Every bit of encouragement Every bit of understanding Every bit of inclusion Every bit of validation Matters a great deal To some one somewhere Nurturing hopefulness in living Nourishing the nature of life.
This morning a refreshing conversation with my mother triggered a series of thoughts on different directions in Hindu Scriptures.
Usually there are eight directions depicted in any compass.
She shared how there are ten mentioned directions in the Hindu scriptures and named each of them. Besides the four cardinal and four ordinal directions it’s interesting to note the two additional directions are Urdhva the highest point symbolizes by creator (Brahma) Zenith and Adhah the opposite represented by (Vishnu) the preserver, which call the Nadir.
It was intriguing to note how these preordained guardians of our galaxies play a significant role in Astrology and Cosmology with insights on how everything connects in life and living.
I started researching further trying to understand more. I came across this interesting share…
‘It’s quite intriguing to note how much effort our ancestors put into demystifying the elements of nature & their impact on us,’
I highlighted this line in the above informative article, because the more you learn of this vast ocean of scriptures you realise there is another horizon of understanding that beckons.
But one thing leads to another…
And that’s how the path of learning grows. And everything connects….
Why delegate work, when you can do it on your own. Because it is common sense that with growth, work increases you will need people to get things done. And without trusting people, you cannot build a team that you can trust. A huge part of delegation is about being accountable to get the work done well.
Successful delegation empowers a team. It is about finding the right person or team for the job. Mastering the art of delegation is rewarding in the long term for it develops and builds skills enhances productivity. It validates the values of collaboration and trust to the team hence improves the attitude at work in a team.
Moreover it improves the time management not only for you but for the team and the organisation thereby increasing productivity and this can help find balance in professional work and personal life.
Do you delegate with the right attitude and for the right reasons?
