Self Healing

Head to toe

Toe to head

Breathe it out

Let it go..

Heal overwhelm

Heal overthinking

Heal your heart

Heal yourself

In the mixed bag of lides emotions

Some get felt a little too deeply

Embedding  itself into the psyche.

And affecting thoughts & actions

Emotions too need release

Unshackle to let go and free up

Cut the cord of emotions

Before they overwhelm you.

Find some time to breathe it out

To process and reflect & let go

To exhale the unwanted emotions.

And heal your heart .

Feeling peaceful

What makes me feel peaceful ?

Just spending time with our little furball combing his long coat  every other day makes me feel peaceful.
A little moment every now and then writing my thoughts  down feels peaceful
Spending time alone witnessing the stillness of the breath or practicing Qi Gong in the garden with green trees  for company  makes me feel peaceful.

Meditative moments  especially  at home in front a Buddha statue makes me feel peaceful.

Painting and dancing  without an agenda, on my own, whenever  I  wish to, makes me feel peaceful.

But most of all…
Living  in the now, without  too many expectations  makes me peaceful ✌️

What makes you feel peaceful?

All for the better

And sometimes when things don’t go as planned

May be you have been saved from some unknown obstacle

May be it wasn’t the right time

May be its all for the better.

One positive thought

All it takes is one positive thought

That manages to linger & survive

To drive away negative thoughts.

So think positive and thrive.

Perfect imperfections

Perfection is never the inspiration for nothing is perfect always.

Acknowledging ones imperfections & managing it with grace is true inspiration.

The need for perfection creates undue pressure. Being able to work on the journey without undue pressure can be joyful journey.

What are your thoughts?

Be an encourager

On Coaches & Coaching

At times just when a coach knows it’s progress the client wants to give up.

They may feel the changes are not enough or there may be other personal factors that may be inhibiting their success. It is important to acknowledge their emotions at the moment and celebrate small wins precisely showing how far they have come. As a coach  being empathic & encouraging while being flexible and adaptable as you adjust strategies for the way forward aids and facilitates progress.

Often clients face doubt and overwhelm at some point or the other. It is important then to remind them of their why and guide them to stay on course.

Your thoughts are welcome.

Thrive in Gratitude

Life hands many a tough lessons in our journeys. But to strive to be strong and tread through it all, not just by surviving the ordeals but thriving takes inner strength in conviction. It helps to focus on your sense of purpose if you have deciphered it by now, else take each moment as momentary.  Know the pain you feel in this now will be gone in the next. This attitude takes you on a spiritual path of letting go. It makes a profound impact in life  as you continue to practise regularly. Regardless of outcomes you are  thriving…in Gratitude for the lessons from life in the living.🙏

Thank the good

In the depths of darkness

Keep the faith on a new dawn

In the numerous wrongs

See the rights

Thank the good

Be grateful for it

Make it a practice of a life time

Know you’re in a better space.

On Mentoring

Trustful Mentorship

The dynamics of mentor mentee relationship is one of trust and confidence.

Building trustful mentorship requires genuine love to help guide people for the better.

Besides the required skills and expertise, mentors having an inclusive, expansive and holistic approach while helping unique  pathways for clients, adds to their repertoire to create trustful mentorship .

Clarity and integrity in communication & behaviour , excellent interpersonal skills and empathic attitude add value beyond the experience and expertise of the mentors.

It is important to acknowledge the influence a mentor can have on the mentees decisions be it at work or personal life.

Hence, a good understanding of ethics while handling conflicting opinions biases, & emotional triggers helps empower the mentee than exploit them.

After all, a mentor is someone who guides advice and supports along the way…

Power of words

Team management

Building people up is a skill worth valuing and investing in. For great teams are not formed simply by hiring for roles. A whole lot of nurture and consistent care goes into team building. A strongly motivated & purpose driven team is empowering for any organisation no matter the odds.

Besides all the values and skill training imparted to a team there is one very important  team builder that makes all the difference. The power of positive words, used and conveyed by the leaders, the appreciation, that is authentic, genuine hopeful and trustful. This is a game changer that drives home the message that we are together, no matter what.

One kind word changes the trajectory of the day.

Here are a few positive ways to communicate with your team.

Words that share genuine care and support :

How are you doing?

What are your challenges now?

How can I support your growth?

Words that create confidence and empowers:

I believe in you.

I trust your judgment.

Tell  me more about what you think we should do?

Words that share appreciation for the effort and encouragement :

This calls for a  celebration

Thank you

If you haven’t already do try incorporating these words in your conversations with your team from today and watch the power of these words unfold.

Building Trust in teams

Trust & Idea sharing

Building trust creates a rapport for greater communication.
Besides listening actively, addressing any issues and finding resolutions together immediately builds trust in a team. Being authentically approachable adds to the trust. Creating a transparent process and protocols for idea sharing helps. Showing appreciation for the ideas generated brings forth confidence to share more. Most importantly, giving credit where it is due by acknowledgements fosters trustful teams. Creating a responsive, cohesive and collaborative team requires transperncy in purpose.

On Respect & Inclusion

When you are in a position of influence especially as a coach, a trainer you are responsible to aid the development and building up of life. From the  life coaching perspective there are many humane standards that help reach the set goals.

As a coach, respect and inclusion  are significant  for the success of your coaching. It is important to  show  ‘Respect’ not only for individual  or team you are coaching by being unbiased and empathic of their abilities,  but also for your time and effort as well as respect for the reason and need for coaching .

As for inclusiveness, without it you cannot build rapport as a coach. Inclusion is also about being attentive and open minded of diverse perspectives and opinions.

Over the decades, coaching  individuals and groups as a Dance Educator & Trainer, and a Life Coach, I have had varied experiences of how being inclusive, empathic, open minded to listen and understand, sharing mutual respect has made a positive impact on the coaching process.

Both respect and inclusion can make a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of those you coach.

What do you think? Do share.

Patience in Perseverance

Sometimes after we have done our very best
We need þatience as much as perseverance
Time heals it all they say
In throes of torment
We need to trust time to pass to a better moment.
We need patience in waiting.
