Miracle of autumn
Colours changing season
Rich burnt orange rust
Fill leaves of green as they fall
As if announcing arrival of fall
Signaling animals and birds
To prepare ahead of the cold
Of winters frost on the anvil
To brace the changing weather.
A season of love & embrace
Of long walks with loved ones.
Of long nights and shorter days
That heads through to winter.
Make the best of the changes.

How different is the view
From every angle in sight?
What makes it so stark in contrast
And so varied in interpretation?
How the colours of life change?
How easy it is to believe,
What you see as the truth,
That nothing else could be reality?
What you see from the mountain
Is different from the plain.
The eyes are the same.
But the perception is different.

New Age Of Wisdom
My good friend @Geoff Hudson Searle posed and shared an interesting question.’Are we entering a new age of Wisdom?

Wisdom continues to evolve
As change is the only constant
Knowing is never enough
Discerning knowledge with application makes all the difference.
Some see it as the Age of the Aquarius, a dawn of enlightenment, but it is also a sign of changing times when there is greater access to knowledge and increased interest in holistic & spiritual practices and greater receptivity & awareness of values of empathy compassion and collaboration and therein interconnections.
Speaking of AI, while we are better informed, the human aspect of intuitive and ethical considerations play a significant role in understanding and application of this new age wisdom.
Now, this rise of a new age of wisdom could also mean more inclusive and divergent thinking in a more conscious and enlightened world.
The question then is, what resonates within and what we choose to do with it.

Heart matters
The same heart that loves
Hurts some day
The same heart that hurts
Heals some day
The heart is extremely versatile
Capable of being adaptable
Beyond our fears and doubts
Capable of love and hate
And all the shades in between.
From going green with envy
To blossoming like red roses…
Heart beats on its own tune
Take care of the heart
Feed it well
Stay happy and healthy
In good faith and trust.
For life is in the heartbeat.

Riding on waves of thought
Rowing with the oar of faith
Sailing on a ship of trust
Flowing along the ocean of time…
I am grateful for the blessings
Of words that fill my heart
Thankful for the creative thoughts
In the receiving I share
In the sharing I receive

What’s the first thing that comes to mind?
Is it the nature of the land?
Do you sense the sandstorm?
Do you see the vivid colours of the womens clothes juxtaposed against the barren land?
Do you see them huddle together taking refuge with no where to go?
This picture evokes emotions.
The wind, the women
Heads to toe covered
Yet braving the sun barefoot
The sand across the land
The parched dry pots.

Travel On…
I wrote this poem back in time after an unexpected opportunity to travel set me off across exploring unforgettable places and spaces on my own.
Yesterday as I was conversing with one of my earlier dance student and friend now, he somehow reminded me of this poem again , as he has been traveling the length and breadth of India on a bike, covering over 80% of India.
While I wait to see his photo shares and hear more from him about his experience in the journey.
Thought of sharing my verses again.
Travel On
If you are given an opportunity to take a journey
Take it, for you meet many versions of you.
Along the road.
Some you cherish, some cherish you.
Some that change you and some that you change.
Fear not the travel or the traveling…
For one thing is certain
You come away enriched and wiser in every journey.
Travel to liberate yourself
From self assumed notions
To see the light on the other side
There is much to unlearn and unbox
As you travel yield in to the insights
Travel every once in a while if opportunity arises,
Take the chance,
You are richer in your explorations much as your experiences.
