Hope is here to stay
Today I share not one but two different scenarios as poems, I have written for the following verses on hope.
Do share your thoughts on it.
“Her eyes wander to find him
Amongst a sea of faces
Knowing he is there somewhere
Hope is here to stay “
The first love
She was a teenager in love
For the very first time
She felt the joy
To express with all her heart
The joy of being with another
Two hearts so full of love
In a world all their own.
He wrote her poems
And read each one out loud
It was an idyllic love
Too good to be true
And in time life happened
And they parted ways
But the feelings still the same
Etched in memories
And never forgotten
No matter the ravages of time.
Yet life never stops for any one.
Life brings in beautiful moments
That makes life worth living
People come people go
But memories, last at eternity…
The Mother
She is old and wrinkled
Yet oft her memories rush
To that fateful day
When a trip to the beach
With friends and family
Changed her life forever.
For as the sun set on that day
In that crowded beach
She lost her only son
And the meaning to live on.
And to this day, in every crowd
Her eyes look out
Searching for her little son
In a sea of faces
No matter the river of time …
Life has its own challenges
For every life in the living
But hope is unending
For hope is here to stay.

Grace of the Sun
This morning I witnessed
A glorious vision awaiting me…
The ‘Rays of the Sun’
Sharing light, hope
And blessings through the trees
Energizing the spaces
In and around me…
Such a picture perfect moment.
While sensing the Grace of the Sun.

Uniquely you
Any creative enterprise
That makes you move
One step closer to your being
Tapping into infinte possibilities
Of your innate potential
Is a dance of your uniqueness
Remember this as you dare
To create something
From known to the unknown
And making something new.

View from the top
How different is the view
From every angle in sight?
What makes it so stark in contrast
And so varied in interpretation?
How the colours of life change?
How easy it is to believe,
What you see as the truth,
That nothing else could be reality?
What you see from the mountain
Is different from the plain.
The eyes are the same.
But the perception is different.

New Age Of Wisdom
My good friend @Geoff Hudson Searle posed and shared an interesting question.’Are we entering a new age of Wisdom?

Wisdom continues to evolve
As change is the only constant
Knowing is never enough
Discerning knowledge with application makes all the difference.
Some see it as the Age of the Aquarius, a dawn of enlightenment, but it is also a sign of changing times when there is greater access to knowledge and increased interest in holistic & spiritual practices and greater receptivity & awareness of values of empathy compassion and collaboration and therein interconnections.
Speaking of AI, while we are better informed, the human aspect of intuitive and ethical considerations play a significant role in understanding and application of this new age wisdom.
Now, this rise of a new age of wisdom could also mean more inclusive and divergent thinking in a more conscious and enlightened world.
The question then is, what resonates within and what we choose to do with it.

Daring the unknown
Our conditioning has a role to play in the way we see people and things around us. To trust is to dare into the unknown.

Thomas Merton
So a long long time ago when I started sharing my writing skills, I received a beautiful message from a reader, who also introduced Thomas Merton, the poet & monk to me. I was intrigued by his words. And went on to read more. For back then I didn’t know who Thomas Merton was and had never heard or come across his works.
This morning I came across the above quote, another gem of a quote from the mystical light of this soul…
There are some souls whose works strike a deep chord without ever meeting them… you sense a connection in their words..
I am grateful in all humility to have come across the profoundness of these kindred spirits. 🙏
Travel On…
I wrote this poem back in time after an unexpected opportunity to travel set me off across exploring unforgettable places and spaces on my own.
Yesterday as I was conversing with one of my earlier dance student and friend now, he somehow reminded me of this poem again , as he has been traveling the length and breadth of India on a bike, covering over 80% of India.
While I wait to see his photo shares and hear more from him about his experience in the journey.
Thought of sharing my verses again.
Travel On
If you are given an opportunity to take a journey
Take it, for you meet many versions of you.
Along the road.
Some you cherish, some cherish you.
Some that change you and some that you change.
Fear not the travel or the traveling…
For one thing is certain
You come away enriched and wiser in every journey.
Travel to liberate yourself
From self assumed notions
To see the light on the other side
There is much to unlearn and unbox
As you travel yield in to the insights
Travel every once in a while if opportunity arises,
Take the chance,
You are richer in your explorations much as your experiences.
