The breath of life From the moment of birth Life begets the breath of air An ignition to life and living in this world No matter what form or species And its the breath that is left, behind that signifies the exit.
How important is this breath, that we all take for granted Gratitude and thankfulness to this driving force of life. To nature for the air we breathe. How important is this breath, for in the way of the breath lies the way of our health. For in the depth of breathing we can integrate our body mind and spirit We can sense the synergy of being We can awaken our true potential. We can become aware of the infinite potential. For all the truth of life, is in the inhale and exhale.
To see positive changes Focus on what is going right Than all that is not. For then you are refusing The joys of this now. Recognise the little things That make you happy As a daily practice Acknowledge people Who surround you. Appreciate the little things. For happiness resides In the little things.
Today the softness of the light of dawn, gently warming my face as I woke up made me happy this morning.
Care to share the little things that make you happy?
There is great wisdom in these two ways to live life lovingly. Both are pathways in the ebb and flow of life.
To see from nothingness Is to see possibilities ahead. To keep hope alive in your heart. Cultivate faith in patience and trust.
To sense gratitude even when you have everything, Is to know that there is much more than what is visible. You are a tiny speck of the magnificent whole. And no life is less or more important. And that every life plays a significant part.
In awareness there is heartfelt thankfulness in contentment for everything you already have.
As you cultivate these habits every day becomes incrementally better. Or perhaps you begin to understand gradually, the power of managing change rests within you. Stay patient Trust yourself. In thankfulness See the light You actually are.
An artist may give a shape to thoughts, its destiny is the result of the bubbles of thoughts in the connected flow.
Creativity is in each of us. We are blessed with much we are yet to understand.
Often we neglect the creative side in each of us and don’t find ourselves expressing it away, but tapping into it can open portals of yet unknown possibilities in each of us. And most of all gives us the courage to explore and embrace the unknown.
Sharing Words of wisdom … from my mother Anjana Radha… A beautiful thought for the day 🙂
‘The “Now” is a dot. in the line – of life. Without touching the dot we cannot connect the past to the future. Just Be in the Now to witness a beautiful connection. The NOW is always present . Like so many dots form a line so many’ Now’s shape life to a beautiful past and a hopeful future. Our conscious awareness gives it meaning and purpose.’ Enjoy the moment:)
Great leaders know… It’s about listening, observing identifying and then empowering & developing middle managers to be great leaders of tommorow.
It’s about rewarding people for the right reasons. And understanding what gets people to work together.
And then creating and sustainable atmosphere for them to work well together.
It’s about finding time to understand the context of what is. And being able to not only envision the big picture but also project it with authenticity and powerfully so.
For in the many small moments of the day there appears many random tests for a leader.
Leadership is not about making everyone like each other. But about making them understand that it takes all of them to be a consistent and collaborative team players.
And most of all getting every one knowing why they are there and clarifying in simple words what the organization is trying to do.
There is a beautiful saying that goes…’ It’s not about having a team of stars But about having a star team’
I listened to my heart Every day As it shares from within And I write them out as words Sometimes as verses At times it’s measured In moderation. Its a zen moment For there is clarity In just a few words shared.
Then there are times They flow like a river A torrent in a current Patterning itself In its own making Words come through me As if it needs to be spoken Sharing the sensitivity Of the moments at hand.
I listen simply with rapt attention. For in the slightest flutter In every movement in the moments Or the depth of silence. There is always something more.
On Kindness Kindle the kindness It’s the springwell of love For love is limitless Kindness generates Heartfelt abundance From one to another Creating magic in action Be it in words thoughts or deeds.
That best portion of a man’s life, his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love. William Wordsworth
Respect is an understanding Of another life right to be. To express and be acknowledged. Respect is deeply entwined in true humility . To be humble enough to accept that there is always something more to learn. To explore, know & acknowledge.
In my stints, as a Consultant & Mentor I have been privy to many interviews for Senior leadership positions I have noticed often enough that the decline of respect is directly proportional to higher job titles. And so is incline for the need for self respect. Let me explain, in the years of experience garnered over the years often there an increase in self – confidence so much so that the need to be seen as important takes over in conversations.
I witnessed an interview to hire a VP Human Resources by the CEO. The candidate was a lady in her 40s and the CEO interviewing her in his fifties. Age apart the interview exchange veered in the direction of Corporate Culture. In her steering the communication in the direction of her association with brands and people, throwing out top industry names than her personal achievements, she also began calling the CEO by name , without checking if it was fine by him. The fact was 250 employees of the company used to greet & address him respectfully and here this candidate, choose to address him directly by first name without a proper professional salutation ahead of the name.
While it was fine as she didn’t know anything about the culture of the company, it was a sign of lack of acknowledgement by the candidate of the cultural hierarchies and shows the inflexibility and rigidity to align with others. A sign of ego and need for value for self but lack of empathy for another.
So inspite of the candidate ticking other boxes on the requirements list she was rejected. Don’t get me wrong it was not because she did not care for professional salutations but more importantly because it was a sign of defiance to protocol and authority.
A team needs one leader and like too many cooks spoil the broth, too many non compliant leaders will wreck havoc in any organisation. For work is worship as the saying goes…and the ability to respect the work one does and the workplace that is inclusive becomes paramount in list of best work practices.
For even if the candidate had been onboarded the team would eventually sense a lack of cultural fitment in her soon. So no matter the degrees the education in reputed universities, the travel abroad and working in MNCs a simple life’skill of giving due respect wherever necessary is a valuable skill. For no ones loses anything by it. Actually respect given, is trust gained.
After all every part of the world has its unique culture practices, it would be good to be safe than sorry by treading with care & respecting and acknowledging the differences.
After all respect is not taking another for granted.
