Tending & nurturing
Are deeply intertwined
Birthed in care
Having immense possibilities
In seeding compassion.
Healing the spirit & soul
Have you ever wondered
What is it in your life
That needs tending & nurturing?
Savvy

Every time you spend
In cultivating purpose
In patience and passion
With a dedicated perseverance
You are inviting an earnestness
That helps you discover yourself
You are far more
Than you choose to believe
Or give yourself credit for.
As you find your purpose
You find yourself evolving
And closer you are to contentment
In living life lovingly every day.

Have written many times earlier on rootedness on grounding on awareness. But today, I share another perspective on the strength of rooting for self growth and transformation.
Self growth needs committed perseverance, patience and passion for continuous improvement. That is how the human race evolves .To root is to help grow and evolve .
Be unafraid of rooting
If you are looking to grow
And have a vision
Of what it is you want to grow
Then by all means
Find your growth
In rooting yourself firmly
Be unafraid
Of the winds of change
For what blows in blows out
Keep the faith and trust in you wherever you are
And believe you are enough for you.
Beautiful things begin to happen.

Look up, laugh loud, talk big, keep the color in your cheek and the fire in your eye, adorn your person, maintain your health, your beauty and your animal spirits.

I sincerely resonate with these words .
I have often seen the perils of burnout up close in professional and personal life over many years. As a coach and mentor it has been often clearer to me that having the blessing of many interests and hobbies like dance and art and sports in my life, I have steered away from burnout with a perspective shift. It helped balance my work and personal life.
But over the years watching people of all ages moving towards burnout due to many factors some avoidable and sometimes due to relentlessly challenging situations in their lives, occurrence of burnout is a reality sooner than you know.
Workaholics are the worst hit as often as Type A personalities. People in power positions founders challenged by their own hamster wheel climb , running their race, stressed and distressed between the managing and funding of their enterprises. To people who are intrinsically overt perfectionists trying to outdo themselves beyond abilities and suffering physically emotionally and mentally thinking that in doing so they have proved their worth. Likewise young students with extreme pressure from parents to perform well in something that they are not interested in. Have seen cases of students in engineering stream, forced to take it when their heart is in arts and humanities .
The difference is between enjoying the work and overworking is in feeling exhausted by the work you do to such an extent that you cannot connect with your self anymore.
When your passion turns in an obsession,
When you are pushing yourself over the brink without consideration for your own health.
Your absence affects your family When you think you are giving it all, but what you are giving is, stealing a loved ones time with you.
Imbalances you create in your life have a way of finding you and testing your life. Make sure to live life when you have it, with all of you.

In Japan, a ten-year-old boy had a goal of becoming a judo champion.
However, he was disabled. He didn’t have a left arm.
Becoming a judo champion is a huge challenge even for those with strong arms and legs.
What could a boy without one arm do?
He approached many trainers.
All of them looked at him with pity and sent him back.
The boy didn’t lose heart. He kept trying.
Finally, one trainer agreed to teach him judo.
The training started. The trainer taught him only one move.
Days, weeks, and months passed. The trainer didn’t seem to teach him anything else. The boy got frustrated.
“Master, knowing just one move isn’t enough to become a judo champion. Will you teach me anything else?” he asked.
“If you master this one move, that’s enough,” the trainer replied.
There was no arguing with the trainer. The boy continued his practice.
He mastered that single move well.
The championship began!
First match: A well-trained opponent against this boy who knew only one move.
The match started. To the surprise of the audience, the boy won.
Second match: He won again.
He continued to advance and reached the semi-finals.
He struggled a bit but won that match too.
Now it was the final match.
His opponent was a multiple-time champion. He felt a bit of pity and some disdain for the boy without an arm. But the boy didn’t falter.
The match started. In the first round, the opponent knocked the boy down.
Seeing the boy’s condition, the audience was shocked. The organizers considered stopping the match.
“Let the boy fight,” said the trainer.
The opponent, now careless, thought he didn’t need any safety gear to fight this boy.
The boy executed the one move he knew with great force. The opponent fell.
The boy became the champion.
The audience couldn’t believe it, and the competitors were astonished.
Even the boy couldn’t believe his victory.
That evening, he asked his trainer.
“Master, how did I win this match? I won with just one move,” he said.
Smiling, the trainer replied, “There are two reasons for your success.”
First, you have mastered one of the most difficult moves in judo.
Second, the only way to counter that move is for the opponent to grab your left arm. But you don’t have a left arm!
“Your weakness turned into your strength and made you a champion!”
The boy marveled at the trainer’s words. He felt joy thinking about how his weakness had become his strength.
Each of our minds is a sea of talents. Diving into it can yield pearls or shells, depending on how long we hold our breath.
Every person is endowed with unique talents by God. Our success lies in discovering and utilizing them.

Our own struggles seem the most difficult. Our journey of life may seem unique to us.And yet if we bring to awareness that this imagined spectrum of universe is a dot in the multitude of multiverses yet unknown, we realise our so called egoes are but a tool for motivating our life to keep us exploring the possibilities in our lifetime.
But instead of seeing the bigger picture we see ourselves as mammoth beings & as if only our life and our journey is important.Â
How far away from the truth we are?
If we only keep seeing our circle of life is but a spec in the cosmic ocean we will realize our truths as humans and learn to be in touch with our humanity.

Do good
And when you do
Think not of acknowledgement
Nor recognition
Do good
From the goodness of your heart
And you will find joy in it.
Make it a practice everyday
To do at least one good deed .
And soon it will become a habit
That happens naturally
And just know
In time…
You will do good anyway
Savvy

Allow yourself spirit to emanate joy
Allow the body to feel its contentment
Allow the self to embody peace
Allow the heart to open itself to possibilities
Allow the self to move in space and sense the freedom it offers.
Just be and allow

Every minute is precious
Every now matters
Every moment is new
Make the most of it
Life is what you make of it.
Choose well.
And reap well in time.

Self care isn’t selfish
Infact it’s is the need of times
In this fast paced world
That stresses you out
At work or even at home…
It is time to destress
And sustain yourself .
Ways to protect your energy…
If you find yourself running
From one task to another
Without a breather.
May be its time to ask yourself…
When was the last time
You had a hearty laugh?
You took time to treat yourself,
To all that you are fond of?
When was the last time
You took yourself out?
Just follow your instincts
And do all that you can
To make your spirit come alive.
And it’s truly ok to let steam off
eveey once in a while.
You are your responsibility
Protect your energy
And sustain yourself.

So you are angry?
Now what?
Do you think it is helping you ?
For anger never helps
It only hurts .
Here are six things you can do for balancing your emotions and feeling better.
1.Become Aware that you are reacting than responding in your anger is the first step
2.Counting backwards from 20 to 1.
3. Removing yourself from the place you are feeling angry even for a short while by going for a short walk helps settle your emotions.
4. Switch words is a technique to use feeling oriented words to create powerful change of emotions with imagery to manage anger.
For example a positive word like Happy can evoke different feelings.
Or words like ‘take it easy ‘can evoke a sense of ease.
5. Better still is taking to chanting mantras, or hearing your favorite upbeat music , or even Journaling.
6. If nothing else imagining ocean tides in a flow and breathing deeply, in and out even for a few minutes eases the tense body & mind.
Remember to acknowledge your emotions as there is more harm in suppression. As you find healthy pathways to manage your anger, you bring wellbeing into your life
