Every moment is a cornucopia of sensing Fleeting thoughts in the making Feelings and emotions reveal themselves. Between action and inaction And in the stillness in between Like the ebb and flow on the tides While at times amplifying & complicating situations By tilting the tuning of the body and mind. Sometimes overpowering almost self […]
As humans we are always exploring and discovering possibilities. Sometimes we understand much in no time, and take the right steps, and at other times we mis the bus.
Acknowledge the wins & the misses.
Every step missed is brimming with a lesson.
If we choose to pay attention every failure teaches us something.
On where we want to be,
On how far we are, from where we want to go.
Question is are we ready to acknowledge failure as a part of the learning process?
Every success can be attributed to the many experiences that may have had many lessons and the effort taken to succeed.
And if there is propensity and determination to take the effort, there are many pathways that lead us beyond failure.
I like this saying by Mary Ash, I came across recently which presents a fresh perspective on failure.
‘For every failure, there’s an alternative course of action. You just have to find it. When you come to a roadblock, take a detour.’
Here are six things you can do for balancing your emotions and feeling better.
1.Become Aware that you are reacting than responding in your anger is the first step
2.Counting backwards from 20 to 1.
3. Removing yourself from the place you are feeling angry even for a short while by going for a short walk helps settle your emotions.
4. Switch words is a technique to use feeling oriented words to create powerful change of emotions with imagery to manage anger.
For example a positive word like Happy can evoke different feelings.
Or words like ‘take it easy ‘can evoke a sense of ease.
5. Better still is taking to chanting mantras, or hearing your favorite upbeat music , or even Journaling.
6. If nothing else imagining ocean tides in a flow and breathing deeply, in and out even for a few minutes eases the tense body & mind.
Remember to acknowledge your emotions as there is more harm in suppression. As you find healthy pathways to manage your anger, you bring wellbeing into your life
In the course of my career over the years handling teams of various departments, people management became my forte while experiencing many instances which needed agility in communication.
Here are few pointers…
If you can help it thoroughly prepare yourself with research so that you are prepared to handle any objections well.
Try to choose when and where to have a difficult conversation.
Always start with a positive mindset and speak with concern without blaming .
Make sure you are clear about what you want to communicate. And deliver your stance clearly without any ambiguity.
Speak in the right tone as per the situation.
Listen actively well to acknowledge emotions and understand so you can respond than react.
If there is too much tension or another impasse it is alright to pause, take a short timely break to diffuse tension and then recoup
Be focussed on what you wish to communicate and steer the conversation if it veers off topic.
Be open to alternatives and perspectives and see if you can find common ground to stay flexible to foster collaboration.
Some of the common Symptoms: Overthinking ,lack of focus, Stress ,Frustration, Racing thoughts .Indecisiveness in high pressure situations, Cognitive confusion. Tiredness Sleeplessness etc.
If you are feeling caught

Where you feel stuck in a loop
Unable to take a decision
Or move forward with a solution.
It could be Analysis Paralysis.
While anyone of us may have experienced it, people with inflexible and fixed mindset often find themselves in this dilemma.
On the other hand people who are sensitive and empathy also find themselves unable to take a decision to move forward if it is going to upset another .
In fact Analysis Paralysis can create blockages for intuitive people and hence they need to understand it to address it.
If you are experiencing it now here are few solutions to manage it.
Acknowledge with Self Awareness by scanning your entire body to sense what, when and where, and how often you are feeling this way.
Address it by allowing yourself to be more flexible and open to new perspectives without fear.
Stop trying to please one and all. Trust in your capabilities and know you are enough.
Conquering your fear of failure by taking a small step towards that which seems impossible. Keep the faith in yourself and you can always pivot without unwanted pressure.
Inculcating a practice of mindfulness regularly helps increase focus by creating present moment awareness.
Choosing to slow down and avoid the pressures of multitasking help ease the cognitive challenges.
“I am living in hope. Although it seems almost invisible. It’s a hair line of hope that keeps me going.”
These are words coming from a dear friend who I consider my soul sister. She has been braving the odds in her life in silence and grace. But how long will she be able to stay silent It is question I always ask myself… Knowing her, nothing much will escape her lips.
But the body never lies I believe the body intelligence is listening in to the emotions she is feeling and is reacting to it in its own ways. Most times it manages well under the influence of the mind power and will and at times it caves in under the strain of the hearts feelings. The cells of the body are changing every moment shaping itself to the moments…
Ease and disease are the results of the changing body. How long I wonder is she having till her body manifests her emotions in its own way.
Can she manage to integrate her body mind and spirit and channel in positive ways?
Stress Management is a skill and it takes practice. Quite often it takes help and intervention too. For when it comes to managing it, there can be multiple ways to go about it.
What is important, is to do something about it, by educating the self and being self aware to practice consistently and master stress, or else the stress will master you.
Allow yourself to trust in the divine plan. Acknowledge your mind body connect. Listen to what it says.
Trust your intuitive intelligence and move beyond stressors for you are enough for you.
