To swim and surface Is daring the waves. Like any ocean surfer knows We are all equal before a wave. While you may not be able to control everything And learning curve may be steep You adapt to ride the waves. For waves are a part of the flow In the cycle of life. A wise leader knows the highs and lows Are part of the same flow.

My 80 plus father and I were having a nice conversation this morning. I asked him, what is the difference between your generation and today?
What did you all have then that today that we don’t have today? He said it in one line: Freedom of time. It’s so true. Today’s world is fully connected but caught in the web of it’s own doing. Today everything is caught on camera. No one is truly free. Whether at work or after,.. your work follows you .You are always available and connected even when you travel… Life is actually more complicated with all these so called devices of technology.
Even simple joys of life are difficult to experience for lack of time. No one is truly free. Chained to the machines of their own making…
In the name of Work from home and work life balance, we are getting more work home that there is no downtime. Weekends no longer feel different. All are in a rat race in time. Until we mutually agree and consciously think of taking time out and act on it , life seems to fall into a rut of routine that we forget we are meant to live and not just exist .
A beautiful read this morning came my way through a social media forward from my mother.
It’s truly meaningful.
The Final Whistle…
I was watching a local football match on a school ground. I asked a boy sitting nearby, “What’s the score of your team?” With a smile, the boy replied, “We are at 0, the opponents are at 3.” I said, “Don’t lose hope, young man.”
The boy looked at me with a puzzled expression, as if questioning my understanding of his determination. He then gave me a profound response: “Why should I lose hope, uncle, when the referee hasn’t blown the final whistle yet?” “I trust my team and my coach completely.” “We will definitely win,” he said confidently and continued watching the game.
To my amazement, the match ended 5-4 in favor of the boy’s team. As the victory was announced, the boy waved enthusiastically at me and left with a bright smile.
I was astonished, struck by his unwavering belief and confidence. His faith was so beautiful, so deep, it left me contemplating.
That night, as I returned home, his question kept resonating in my mind: “Why should I lose hope when the final whistle hasn’t been blown?”
Life is like a game… While we are still in it, why do we give up so often? When our final whistle hasn’t sounded, why should we despair?
The truth is, many of us blow our own whistle prematurely. We leave the field before the game is over.
But as long as life is with us, nothing is impossible. Whether our time is half over, three-quarters over, or just beginning, that doesn’t matter.
What matters is that we don’t blow the whistle on ourselves before the time is up.
The referee of our game is God. Have faith in Him and in yourself.
So, let’s remember that the final whistle hasn’t sounded yet, and let’s enjoy every moment of life like an exciting game!
Every now births hope For a beautiful future The lessons in the living Gives goals to aspire for… In every moment of Inspiration Is the excitement of possibilities Of all its yet to unfold.
Here is a little self reflection tool in understanding the self.
Think of yourself as a child, what age do you imagine yourself to be in?
Write down words that come to you when you think of your childhood?
Write down people or places that connect with the words you wrote
You will find yourself connecting the dots…
All of the expressed, repressed and suppressed emotions has much to do with who you become as an adult.
Much of what you felt, are feeling as an adult goes back to what you enjoyed or endured as a child..
Nature works with nurture to create your being.
Each of us have evolved from our experiences. Self reflection is a valuable tool to bring to awareness that however easy or difficult the childhood was, understanding that childhood is your past but the present is with you for you to carve. to make your future.
