Thankful for Dance

To dance is to move with all of you.

To dance is to have hope in the living.

To dance is to feel the spirit of life in the movement.

To dance is to know the value of time.

To dance is to feel the rhythm in the beat.

To dance is to sense the subtlety of life.

To dance is to acknowledge the life in every moment.

I share a capture of one of the International Dance Research Congress, that I was honoured to have attended in Athens.

Today is celebrated as the International Day of Dance…

Yet everyday I am thankful… and deeply grateful to the art of dance in bringing positive difference to my life.

Thankful to dance in my life, & all the wonderful people I have been priveleged to meet, connect, learn & share my passion for dance… 🙏✨

Find yourself

In the daily grinds of life

Take a conscious moment.

Move beyond the apparent.

Witness the world

Observe nature

The sun moon & the stars

Sense the fragrance of Flowers

Dancing in the wind

See the moving clouds

Shaping patterns & disappearing

Watch it all sense it all

And then delving  deeper

Sense the intangibles

Understand the unspoken words

Beyond whats visible

Seek the wisdom untold.

You will find yourself.

On Poets & poetry

A slice of life
Poets may carve with words…
Emerging from life experiences
Lived or observed.
Poets may offer fresh perspectives Embedded in words in a flow…

In Poets, empathy makes you sense and relate with compassion, It makes you feel one with another.
Yet the poet is strategic as to be a poem the verses need to be well thought as much as well felt, as words manage to touch another soul in inexplicable ways.

Every poet balances the flow uniquely…

What are your thoughts on the above?

And how can empathy connect with poetry?

Beauty in the ordinary

Where time ticks onwards too fast

In a rushing world

With no time to stand and stare

The beauty is in the ordinary…

An unforgettable vegetarian lunch in China.

In simple sharing,

Of a space,

Of a meal ,

Of being with one another

Valuing time spent joyfully

With family & friends

That makes the day magical.

Hear to be heard

Hear to be heard
Value to be valued
Acknowledge.

It makes a world of difference in a ‘ever busy world’ that’s always checking time.
Giving time and energy to understand another with empathy will help shift perspectives for the better.

Grateful

Hiroyuki Sanada once said, “There are those who want a swimming pool in the house, while those who have one barely use it. Those who have lost a loved one feel a deep sense of loss, while others who hold them close often complain about them. Those who do not have a partner yearn for him, but those who have, sometimes do not value him. The hungry would give anything for a plate of food, while the well-fed complains about the taste. The one who doesn’t have a car dreams, while the one who has one is always looking for a better one. The key is to be grateful, look carefully at what we have and understand that somewhere, someone would give everything for what you already have and don’t appreciate.”

Awareness of Oneness

Universal Oneness is an awareness

In reflections of the truth of the being

Interweaved and interconnected in every life .

Strength shines through the vulnerabilities.

As a power in the very fragility

Touched by divine grace

Enmeshed in the senses

Comes a consciousness of the flow

In and around us

Beyond the illusion of separation

Is the dance of connection.

Divinity of Oneness

Strength in the Interconnects

All is one

One is all

Such is truth of interconnects

And in the sublime consciousness

All is in the divinity of oneness.

Thank your worries

As life can be truly challenging

We all have worried about it

Yet worries don’t change things

Acting on the issues does.

So instead of worrying today

Whenever  you begin to worry

Can you thank your worry

For trying to be helpful ?

And remember to make it a habit.

If you realise you are worrying

Work on worry everytime

Thank it again & again.

It is simple to do yet impactful.

Sometimes as perspectives shift

Solutions, find space to emerge.

Thoughtworthy

Here’s a thoughtworthy share

Air Commodore Vishal was a Jet Pilot. In a combat mission his fighter plane was destroyed by a missile. He however ejected himself and parachuted safely. He won acclaims and appreciations from many.

After five years one day he was sitting with his wife in a restaurant. A man from another table came to him and said “You’re Captain Vishal ! You flew jet fighters. You were shot down!”

“How in the world did you know that?” asked Vishal.

“I packed your parachute,” the man smiled and replied.
Vishal gasped in surprise and gratitude and thought if parachute hadn’t worked, I wouldn’t be here today.

Vishal couldn’t sleep that night, thinking about that man. He wondered how many times I might have seen him and not even said ‘Good morning, how are you?’ or anything because, he was a fighter pilot and that person was just a safety worker”

So friends, who is packing your parachute?
Everyone has someone who provides what they need to make it through the day.

We need many kinds of parachutes– we need the physical parachute, the mental parachute, the emotional parachute, and the spiritual parachute.
We call on all these supports before reaching safety.

Sometimes in the daily challenges that life gives us, we miss what is really important.

We may fail to say hello, please, or thank you, congratulate someone on something wonderful that has happened to them, give a compliment, or just do something nice for no reason.

As you go through this week, this month, this year, recognize the people who pack your parachute.
Happy New Year
❤️

Quality of the Spirit

What to speak of charisma

That some have as an aura…

A way of being , a radiance

More than just their attitude

Or the way the carry themselves

A quality of the spirit of the soul

That magnetic quality beyond the physicality

That emanates joy and well being in Abundance

Without a single word…

Would you  know someone  like that?

Who comes to your mind?
