Being Human

To all those who seek perfection in every  little thing that they sometimes drive themselves and others crazy.
Ease in and let go for a bit,  see others as they are , not as you want them to be.
We are all vulnerable beings.
We are humans after all, let us be supportive and celebrate  the power of  humanity to overcome challenges that appear along  the way.
We are powerful in  acknowledging our respective situation  from where we are and working amicably towards  finding resolutions.
After all besides every thing else,the world needs humanity  to overcome  the challenges of being human.

Then & Now

Then and now

Then I had manicured hands

Fingers always maintained

With perfectly painted nails 💅

Now I like them as they are

Functional and neatly cut.

Then I wore high heels

To make me feel more stylish

Now I have a style I call my own

High heels I no longer need or buy.

Then I was yet to experience life

Too sensitive to a fault…

Now I have come of my own

Upholding my health over stressors

Emboldened enough to stand by me.

And today, another solar cycle older

Wiser or not is left for you to say,

But this I know from living

Half way and more in life.

No matter the then & now

What is, is what matters.

In you, is what you need.

Life is what you make of it.

Every now is precious enough  to fill it with gratitude.

Gifts of Life

Life pans out uniquely  each day for us.

And yet every life has its ups & downs

It is how we see it

That makes us who we are.

In the journey of life

Life supports and encourages us

By offering many visible and hidden

Gifts along our paths.

Recognize  and value them

For they are meant for us.

It is up to us to become aware of it

For us to sense & know…

And most of all

Every life is a gift

Value the life

You have.

Life & living

My 80 plus father and I were having a nice conversation this morning. I asked him, what is the difference between your generation and today?

What did you all have then that today that we don’t have today?
He said it in one line:  Freedom of time. It’s so true.
Today’s world is fully connected but caught in the web of it’s own doing.
Today everything is caught on camera.
No one is truly free.
Whether at work or after,.. your work follows you .You are always available  and connected even when you travel…
Life is actually more complicated with all these so called devices of technology.

Even simple joys of life are difficult to experience for lack of time.
No one is truly free.
Chained to the machines of their own making…

In the name of Work from home  and work life balance, we are getting  more work home that there is no downtime. Weekends  no longer feel different.  All are in  a rat race in time.  Until we mutually  agree and consciously  think of taking time out and act on it , life seems to fall into a rut of routine  that we forget  we are meant to live and not just exist .

Nature nurtures

Watching this papaya tree grow in our garden gives me great joy. Nature has so much wisdom to offer if we take time to reflect on it.
Love how the tiny little shoots are protected and nurtured by an umbrella of more mature leaves until they are ready to face the sun on their own…

Patterns of Oneness

Emerging patterns of nature are captivating indeed. For instance, be it waves or stripes or spirals, and more, nature patterns itself in synchrony.

In the waves of the ocean and the sand dunes, ripples in the pond, in the striking stripes of a zebra and the striped Zebra plant or even the striped flowers, their formation at the atomic and molecular levels may have a reason purpose in nature.

We as humans, find inspiration in nature and we are drawn to recognising these emerging patterns. It reminds us of the bigger picture, of the Oneness in the interconnects in life and living.
