1. Sit less duration in the same position. Avoid long duration of sitting or lying down, choose to walk and move more
2. Strengthen your spine with exercises and especially for back muscles .
3 Straighten your posture and align your spine whenever you find yourself slouching
4. Sleep well using the right kind of mattress . If you sleep sideways, support your back and hip alignment with pillows between your legs while sleeping.
5. Stretch and move often to make the back supple.
Take care of your back and it will have your back all of your life.
To swim and surface Is daring the waves. Like any ocean surfer knows We are all equal before a wave. While you may not be able to control everything And learning curve may be steep You adapt to ride the waves. For waves are a part of the flow In the cycle of life. A wise leader knows the highs and lows Are part of the same flow.
Today I have shared my nature photography of three blooms, along with an inspired comment on one my posts on Nature , by my mother Anjana.
There is nothing as complete in Nature. Always there is space for futher growth and further evolution.
So learn to enjoy and admire the imperfections, the seemingly unfinished words or works, they give the room to take it further in a new direction or more positive approach later instead of lamenting internally.
The cosmos itself is infinite , with no beginning or end so that expansion can take place in any direction without boundary.
Things happen, and just when it all feels dark, there is a crack…
Where light enters in hope!
There is always a reason why, nothing is accidental. The cracks are where light shines through , like the crack of dawn. And the sooner in time, in the tiniest cracks, whenever the ego shatters to transform itself in humility, all resets in transcendence to begin again, renewed in purpose. Such is the nature of life & living. All is well in hope.
Sometimes a little pause or silence Sometimes a little break from monotony Can be a gamechanger In the rut of routine To unshackle the soul And set the spirit free to imagine And spark the creative fire within… Wouldn’t you agree? And I suppose how much of it all, is an answer each knows… in the journey of becoming.
We are what we are As humans we are vulnerable beings, strengthened by our very vulnerability. As for our notions of the nuances As for our presumptions and prejudices Along with our unique sense of self contrived our otherwise We are only human we are capable of being humane.
We are alive & breathing in this now And no matter the despair and frustration No matter the weight of the world No matter the fragmented existence No matter our human fragility… We carry on as we are exploring & discovering thriving and creating history…
We are complete beings in our acknowledging incompleteness. We are perfect beings with all our so called imperfections.
And we strive to do our best with what we have
If everything is complete and perfect then there would be no wonder to evolve us along…
Inside the ball is air, Inside the flute is air, Then why is the ball kicked, and the flute kissed?
The ball holds the air within itself, saying, “I will keep it all to myself,” and thus, it is kicked. But the flute transforms the air within it into music for others to enjoy, and so it is kissed.
This beautifully conveys the importance of sharing and giving selflessly.
Air Commodore Vishal was a Jet Pilot. In a combat mission his fighter plane was destroyed by a missile. He however ejected himself and parachuted safely. He won acclaims and appreciations from many.
After five years one day he was sitting with his wife in a restaurant. A man from another table came to him and said “You’re Captain Vishal ! You flew jet fighters. You were shot down!”
“How in the world did you know that?” asked Vishal.
“I packed your parachute,” the man smiled and replied. Vishal gasped in surprise and gratitude and thought if parachute hadn’t worked, I wouldn’t be here today.
Vishal couldn’t sleep that night, thinking about that man. He wondered how many times I might have seen him and not even said ‘Good morning, how are you?’ or anything because, he was a fighter pilot and that person was just a safety worker”
So friends, who is packing your parachute? Everyone has someone who provides what they need to make it through the day.
We need many kinds of parachutes– we need the physical parachute, the mental parachute, the emotional parachute, and the spiritual parachute. We call on all these supports before reaching safety.
Sometimes in the daily challenges that life gives us, we miss what is really important.
We may fail to say hello, please, or thank you, congratulate someone on something wonderful that has happened to them, give a compliment, or just do something nice for no reason.
As you go through this week, this month, this year, recognize the people who pack your parachute. Happy New Year ❤️
