Who said life is transactional?

On doing good

You do good

You go the right way

You speak the right language

You live righteously

You choose the right approach

You are kind and  compassionate

You act with integrity

But life happens to you

Situations experiences

Circumstances and events

Through you into a maze

Of confusion and chaos

Just like any other

You are left wondering why

Why me, when I keep choosing the good?

Now that’s your turning point

The point of saturation

When light dawns on you.

Life is not transactional

It is transformational.

Apricity

April has come and gone

August too has passed on

Changing months

Changing seasons

Although pleasant and cool.

There is a nip in the air

Winter is soon approaching

Just around the bend.

Across the horizon

I look up at the morning sun

Awakening my senses warmly

In the alchemy of apricity.

This poem flows along in my simple joy of using this rarely used word. APRICITY…the warmth of a winters sun.

Hoping for apricity

Of feeling the warm sun

On a cold winters day…
