Lessons from nature!

Green and saffron
colors of prosperity and detatchment.

One leads to attach,
One to detatch.
Both gives fulfillment
One externally while
the other internally.

Both in abundance.
No force , in free will.
Selecting the path is in our choices.

Anjana

Above is a photo I took at my home in my terrace garden which invoked an interpretation from my mother Anjana this morning.

Green for prosperity (green earth full of hidden treasures), saffron is for detatchment (color code for sanyasam or renunciation).

Sharing this as it speaks so simply of the juxtaposition of balance in nature that abounds. In colour, form, shape etc in all perspectives of life and living.

  1. Good comparison. Adding up to your post I can say Saffron stands for Power, Wisdom as well Sacrifice. The mighty color lost its value because of fake people using it for misleading purposes, Life is about giving out the best to society and the color signifies the background.

Good post. Have a nice day.

    Cheers.

  2. Dear Savvy Raj

To live detached from this world, although we live in this world, but we are not from this world. All attachments and wishes are the main reasons why we have to come back…

Thanks for sharing, my dear friend
    All the best

    • I love flowers so much, and i do natural dyeing, so I tend to use plants for that. I love it because although I do my best to get good results, there is always a certain degree of the process that I cannot fully control, and that is what I love the most. It is the same with creating pottery. I did Raku pottery, and once we took our pieces out of the kiln and put them into a bucket of leaves, etc., we did not know what would happen exactly – not in terms of an error, but in terms of the glaze that developed. I love that slight element of being unable to control a creative process. It is an accidental treasure that comes from it.

I have often told friends in the past that in a box of crayons, I am the orange. I love orange, any shade of it. Loved this post.

      • Thank you very kindly. I am an artist, so I tend to see everything as some form of art. It feels wonderful for the spirit.

      • In trusting exists a sense of ease
A lightness of a being , one with the flow
For in it is the wisdom of knowing
        you aren’t in the flow…
        You are the flow .

I love watching the dance of clay shaping on the potters wheel .Sometimes as an artist in simply accepting of the human element of uncertainty gives rich dividends.
You my dear certainly do justice to your choice of colour….orange it is for I sense the enthusiasm for life and living.Thank you so much for your words and shares
