Strengthen your feet

Sitting for long hours at work can be rather stressful for those who have sedentary work. In such cases taking good care of your feet health is very important for your heart and overall health.

What can you do besides wearing comfortable shoes, soaking your feet in warm salt water after work,
massaging your feet from time to time.

However when at work you can
incorporate a simple practice of taking a short walk every one hour to break monotony and reduce the impact of long hours of sitting in a chair.


As a Ballroom dance teacher I used some simple props for my students to help strengthen their feet.

Elevating your feet when ever possible, can reduce pressure on the blood vessels, lowering fatigue and release stress.

One is simply rolling a tennis ball under your feet for a few times in a day to release the strain and
tension.

Another easy way is to
have a small terry towel under
your feet and to try to lift it by
scrunching your toes.lt helps
tone, stretch & ease your feet
muscles.

They are both easy to carry and can help you do a feet workout as you work.

    This is actually a great tip, Savvy.
    Fun fact: In the movie ‘Die Hard’ Bruce Willis’ character does this after a fellow passenger on a plane tells him about it and he discovers it actually works lol

    But on a serious note, foot health is often taken for granted, but when I was in the military, we were taught to take it very seriously.

    Indeed Dear Savvy if We Make Our Feet and Even Our Hands The Weakest Links of Our
    Existence By Sitting Long Periods And No Longer Foraging on Our Feet in All Directions

    As We aRe Naturally Evolved to Do We Naturally Suffer the Consequence of Not Nearly
    Meeting All Of Our Human Potentials Up to the Consequence of Disorder Disease

    Including Metabolic Syndrome

    And Even Poor Mental

    Health too And

    Even Premature Death

    That Otherwise Might Be A
    Long Healthy Lifespan if We

    Start By Exercising our Feet

    as Really Sitting Still For Long

    Periods is Repetitive Movement

    At the Smallest Levels of Muscle

    Movement to Keep Our Posture in

    That Rather Cramped Position Which

    Of Course Like All Other Repetitive Movements

    Will Lead to Physical Ergonomic Injuries Like Neck
    Back Arm Leg Feet Hands And Basically Pain All over the Body
    Associated With These Ergonomic Injuries from Repetitive Movements

    All Excellent Suggestions You Make to Keep the Blood Flowing to the Feet

    Hehe my Apple Watch Reminds me to at Least Stand Up and Walk around
    Every Hour on the Hour as i Write at this Computer in Meditative Flow as True

    It’s Easy to Forget All about One’s Body When Doing This Other than Fingers

    Dancing Long Distances close to the Keyboard Hehe as Basically If We Don’t

    Move We Rot in Place The Rest of Nature Moves All We Have to Do is Look Around and see
    Realizing

    We Are Just
    Another Part of the
    Animal Kingdom and
    Not A Static Sitting Machine…

    i’m Quite Sure if Our Foraging
    Ancestors Saw Us Sitting Still in
    Front of Screens in our Caves All
    Day Day in And Day Out They Would

    Think We’ve Lost Our Minds Yet Indeed

    In Doing This We Lose Our Bodies Minds and Souls

    in the Long
    Run of
    Forgetting
    Who We even
    Are Ah Yes Free
    Dancers Singers on the Wing…

    This is the Problem With the Cultures
    Human Beings are Born into We aRe
    Spoon Fed it And Take it Usually as What is Good For Us

    Absolutely Nothing Could Be Further From the Truth

    And of Course The Medical Records Speak For the

    Reality of

    This Now For Sure…

    Sitting in Front of A Screen
    With a ‘Zillion’ Dopamine Hits

    Isn’t Much Different Really

    Than A Monkey Sitting

    In Front of A Machine

    With Levers Dispensing
    Cocaine Until the Monkey
    Dies It’s just a slower process
    That Indeed Will Be More Torturous For US…

    Hehe With That Sung it’s Almost Time For my Free Dance around the Block..:)
