A quick question.

Just a quick question…

How many of you writers, have felt people equating your creative writing with your life?

As a writer I do know that creativity comes up in the most unexpected moments. It may have or not at all have anything to your own experiences. Much of the creative process can happen in attention to details as a keen observer, in witness mode , in associations of thoughts and feelings and in sensing emotions in empathy, concern or care, that may have or not have any personal connotations.

Writing is the freedom of expression in flights of imagination, its a beautiful art and that is free for interpretation once it has been published. For the writer has chosen to let it go…

How it came to be, is a mystery sometimes to the Author too😉

I write through personal experience, other people’s experience, and even some from family and friends. Sometimes, I write at the lowest ebb of my day or when I am so happy. Writing is an expression of ourselves, what goes on in our minds, and what we see in our imagination.

      Wonderful dear friend.
Our varied life experiences that we have or care to witness, keeps inspiring us but the choice to write is our own free will in the moment.
      Keep writing & keep inspiring… 👍

I have found that creativity while writing does not only come up at unexpected moments, but sometimes even at unexpected places. It has been my experience that at times when I am either traveling or sitting at a cafe or even while at the movies, something stirs within you and words appear and automatically form sentences. It is sometimes even difficult to hold them as one does not have a pen and paper or a diary to note it down. However, I do hold such thoughts until I am able to write it.

Yes Ashok, this is so true… This flow of imagination propels action… Some times at speeds faster than you can put down… ✍️

It’s great that you are able to hold the thoughts, until you are able to write it down.👍

I do notice that some of the bloggers I have been following for a long time write in fairly consistent ways. For example, some writers don’t write about personal things at all, just fiction or poetry based on form or a given subject. For me, it fluctuates and depends on what comes to me.

Appreciate the share of your observations, thank you Christine.
Writing depends on individual’s nature, and it also differs with the how their life experiences are in the moment. Sometimes it can be a celebration of life and other times it starts with a little bit it of one’s life and then their imagination in the flow….

Some (like my sister) think my dark poems are about what I’m feeling. Sometimes, they are, but sometimes not. I think a lot of people think poems are autobiographical.
